I've been a member at multiple locations and have been to lifetime gyms in Houston and Atlanta. I can say this company is really doing it right when it comes to taking care of their facilities and patrons. I believe I first joined in 2018 and cancelled during COVID. Now back in 2025 and I can see some improvements. They have a lot of different machines and free weights, spaces to do Gtx classes, hot yoga, cycling, morning runs, pickle ball... I mean, you pay for what you get. I love that the women have their own sauna and hot tub, and can use the coed by the pool as well. It's never so crowded that you can't get machines and the staff is actually helpful. I definitely recommend. read more

Whenever I'm traveling around, my family and I love to stop by other lifetime gym facilities and compare them to our home base. As we were on our way to Galveston for our week long cruise, we booked a stay in Webster to do touristy things and this lifetime was a whopping 4 min drive from our hotel. I'm impressed with the cafe, locker rooms and kids club! As usual, the amenities are consistent with our home LT in Austin, the front desk always was welcoming at 6am for me running in, getting my workout in and then leaving. I find the studio classrooms are slightly smaller but the instructor Melanie was still great at 7:30am on a Friday, I was a little jealous that this LT has amazing classes that start at 5:30am for the folks who love their early bird hours in the day and impressed to see it was waitlisted! I dropped our 5 year old for a little of the kids club and even decided if we wanted to do Parents Night out at this LT, as this one doesn't seem to have a waitlist, our Austin North location separated by age groups for the younger kids vs older kids but this LT seemed to have less enrollment which probably means all the kids get to play together. The pools were huge and I'm sure if we weren't visiting during the winter freeze, the outdoor slides and pools would be more popular! I thought it was neat to see the individual hot tubs inside the locker rooms and steam room and saunas, although my husband and I occasionally like to have our sauna time together. Overall, the floors and machines were well kept, my cafe experience for coffee, smoothies and food consistent and the fact that we could have a space to explore while we were in town was fun to boot! Normally we visit the LT sugar land location as my parents are in SW Houston so this was a treat to try something new! I've been a member of a few gyms but Lifetime is above all others when it comes to cleanliness. The worker Wes, Who works in the locker room is a go getter. He is always sanitizing the Sauna and the Steam room or polishing the floors every time I'm there. Also making sure the towels are stacked and always available. I just don't see this work ethic much anymore and want to say Lifetime at Baybrook is very fortunate to have him. Don't let Wes go! You can't beat a clean environment. Good job! read more

Been a member for 2 years. The amenities are great, at least for what I need. Melanie and Judy are the main ladies I enjoy taking classes with. They'll push you to bike faster, to push for that last rep!! I also took my very first yoga class with Judy a few months back and she was helpful, she made me feel welcomed in the yoga community! Pros: Spa inside women's locker room (there's a bigger one in the pool area but it's nice if you don't want to be around males and other people) It's ALWAYS clean (cleaning staff is around cleaning and grabbing and refilling towels all the time) Staffs generally great Cafe staff is so friendly! Even when you show up at 905 when they close at 9. Cons: Took a month to fix an ac (in the hottest month of summer) for the indoor basketball/pickleball courts Department drama - they'll take it out on the members (cancelling paid events without notifying members, banning members from GroupMe) for example. I promoted a lifetime pickleball event in the lifetime tennis group as many of us also enjoy pickleball, I was immediately banned. I never thought I would have the opportunity to go to Life Time because they don't seem to offer a free day pass. The last time I went to Life Time was well over 10 years ago in San Antonio. I remember that gym being nice, but I don't recall it feeling like a resort. This is definitely a resort. The amenities are over the top and I can see why the membership fee is so expensive ($129/month for this location). Luckily, my friend teaches classes at Life Time and I was able to use one of her guest passes. I arrived early so I could check in. I had to show my ID and sign a waiver form. The front desk staff is really friendly. Once I was cleared to enter, we went to the locker room. The lockers have a combo lock on them that you set yourself so there's no need to bring a pad lock. They really don't want you bringing bags and extra stuff to the fitness studios, so they encourage you to use one of the lockers. There are two studios, two yoga rooms, a cycle studio, a pilates reformer room, two basketball courts, lots of tennis courts, an indoor and outdoor pool, and much more. There's areas for group training, cardio, etc. Honestly it was a sensory overload trying to take it all in. The studios have a digital sign outside so you know what class is coming up. Members have to reserve a spot and the instructor does take attendance. Apparently some of the classes are very popular and they have waitlists. The instructors set up equipment for all classes so members just walk in and pick their spot. I will say, that they offer a ton of classes since they have multiple rooms so that is definitely a plus. You know that episode of Fresh Prince of Bel Air when Aunt Viv went to the dance audition and all the other dancers were snooty and mean and she was totally out of place (season 2, episode 7 - look it up)? Well I was preparing myself for those vibes, but luckily it was not like that at all! Everyone was really nice and there were all types of people there so I didn't feel intimidated or out of place. The class I took was En Barre. It's 45 minutes and it's a mix of barre, mat, light weights, and the bender ball. The class was really fun and went by fast. The music was awesome and the movements weren't terribly hard, but I know I'm going to be sore in the morning. After class, my friend gave me a tour of the place. It is extremely clean, incredibly large, and like I mentioned before, it's just sensory overload. Besides all of the space for equipment and classes, they have a café that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, a mini bar (yes there's alcohol), a full salon, spa, and God knows what else. There's a huge area for kids and they offer kids classes so it's a good place for families. One thing I liked about the studio is that there is a little elevated stage that the instructor stands on so it makes it easier to see what they're doing. They have fancy lighting in the studio and depending on the class, they can make it fun like a dance club. I would love to try another class, but I have to wait 60 days before I can use my friend's guest pass again. She's allowed two passes per month so they definitely limit it, but it was awesome to have the opportunity to try it out for free! As nice as this place is, I can't justify spending that much for a membership. This gym is a bit far from me and it's next to the mall which is just a nightmare. They do offer a $40 day pass, but I would suggest befriending an employee so you can try it out for free! read more

This might be one of the worst lifetimes I have ever been to. Broken lockers, issues with water supply, Dirty restrooms, gross showers and something always seems to be shut down. And if you dare, look down at your machine during your workout and see how much dirt, hair and other gross clumps are under you. That aside, the amenities here seem to outsize the actual gym equipment. If you enjoy working out, do not choose this location. Not enough weights or machines. But plenty of pickleball, classrooms & cafe space ... Overall a terrible lifetime location and not worth the price at all. Additionally, as another red flag. Check and see the last time "management" responded to a poor review. They sure do love the 5 stars though! read more

Creepy and Rude Employees. Tall towel boy with a speech impediment leaves the men's locker rooms without towels for hours while hanging out next to the female locker room , then walking around and chatting up female coworkers . Roided out instructor hogs 10 squat racks while only using 2 , lets certain girls use them but if you're a guy you have to pad his numbers for lame classes people don't register for. Dreadlocked instructor gets obnoxious if you don't notice his crummy marker sign to take up yet another squat rack - meaning all the hundred + people wanting to use a squat rack at prime time are competing for 4 out of 15 in the entire gym. Most of the front desk staff has a lousy snooty attitude unfortunately even regardless of age - a select few of the younger people there are more polite than the older ones but honestly it's only like 1 or 2 . read more

Nothing is worse than expecting to use the amenities that you pay a very hefty price for, to show up and its not working. I have been coming here for five years and I am so disappointed in the way things are being ran. Everyday there's some type of issue with the sauna not running consistent or someone having to reach underneath to reset it(liability waiting to happen). The men's Jacuzzi has not ran hot since last summer at least. It's difficult to understand that you all cant get things to work on a regular basis, but have an easy time raising prices. I absolutely love LifeTime Baybrook. I've been a member for over 5 years. They have the best Pickleball program. They offer a variety of offerings including leagues, mixers, drills, open play and private lessons for all ages. The Wednesday Ladies League is my favorite! Coach Aaron, their Pickleball Lead is amazing. He continues to create exciting new programs at our facility. I love his drills. My game has improved tremendously from his coaching. His classes are high energy and challenging, yet fun. He is the BEST! He is a huge asset to this program. I love our LT Pickleball community! read more

The gym is the gym. I don't bother anyone and no one bothers me. Life Cafe at the gym is horrible! The guys and the small girl are good; however, I can never seem to get what I order. It's the second time in a row that my order was forgotten. The ladies are laughing and playing around and not doing their jobs. Both times I've heard " OH! I forgot! " . Do better! This gym has all the bells and whistles you could want at a gym. Expect to pay more for it than other gyms but gives a country club vibe. Very nice employees that run a tight ship. On my first arrival Ben, a young handsome boy greets me at the front desk. Tons of machines and various classes. Even if you're not working out on the equipment or a class, come for the pool. There's a lifeguard at the outdoor pool and in this Texas heat, this is a great place to swim and chill. Ishmael was a friendly young lifeguard who is new and keeping an eye out for the kiddos. They do have personal trainers but you pay extra for that. Plenty of parking in the lot too. I haven't tried the sauna or jacuzzi yet because it's so hot, the Texas sauna is already outside but come colder weather I'll be sure to check these amenities out. read more

I absolutely loved the BayBrook lifetime location! This location is beautiful & has a very great energy to it! I attended this location for about a month during my stay back home & I loved it! The people here were amazing, the staff is beyond helpful & great, the amenities were always up & working, the atmosphere/architecture is beautiful, the facility is always well cleaned, my favorite is the outdoor lap pool & gym equipment!! My mother currently attends this location & loves it as well! It's very family friendly & has so many benefits!! I will be reenacting my membership once I move back around April 2025 to stay for around 6 months while my husband is unfortunately deploying! I absolutely cannot wait to visit again soon! read more

Came here for a birthday party, excited because we'd been considering getting a membership. Then we found out that instead of rotating lifeguards like every single other pool ever does, they have all the guards take a 10 minute break at the same time every hour and then won't let the kids, even those who can swim and have a parent next to them, anywhere near the pool until it's over. If i could leave a Zero, i would. Had the tennis manager Lester have a verbal outburst on us. My friend and i were just curious about the pickleball scheduling. Seeing if it was possible to see a time change because as a signature member we can only reserve pickleball courts for 30 mins total before 3pm. They currently have the kids tennis camps on the pickleball courts for the next 8 weeks. Lester being the head of tennis didn't like this request and snapped on us telling us our request was "Fucking bullshit" right in our faces aggressively. I would understand if the conversation was heated but my friend was being extremely kind and Lester just snapped. Nothing has been done about this. He also called me a liar when i said i use to play m-f and reserve a court everyone on of those days. I told him to check the scheduling but he said no-one has ever played from 12-2pm ever there, which is a lie because there is about 12 of us. There has been multiple other complaints to this facility and nothing ever is done. A lot of employees here act like they are doing us a favor by being there. read more

My wife was on the treadmill one time and they asked her to get up and leave because they had a class going on. Needless to say that only a few people showed up to that class, and the treadmill that they asked her to get off of was completely vacant. My mother's car was vandalized, and they refused to check the cameras or even follow up with me on it. There are a few people here that seem to get away with everything, some people park their expensive cars in three parking spaces and management still doesn't do anything about it. Life Time Athletic Baybrook is finally in the Friendswood/Clear Lake area! After visiting the Sugar Land location a couple times from friends, I've been awaiting this location for awhile. This "gym" has way more to offer than just a gym! Walking in, this place is REALLY nice looking. Like is this even a gym or is it a 5 star resort?! Equipped with tennis courts, heated indoor and outdoor pools with water slide, towel service, sauna, steam room, power racks, free weights, cardio equipment, fitness class rooms, basketball courts, kids areas, etc. What doesn't this gym have? They even have a life cafe, spa, and recovery center available for all of your relaxation needs. Coming to the grand opening, I'm amazed by this place, it really is nicer than most hotels. Becoming a member is definitely worth the price tag! You'll definitely catch me here every morning to workout or swim laps in the heated pool. And what's even better is that all your toiletries are provided in the locker rooms to get ready for the rest of your day. I've been a member for over a year, the chiropractor manager upset me today in the pool area. I accidentally hit my vapor device in the pool area, around nobody. He came up to me quick, insisting to bring management to talk to me. I told him I apologize and I will keep the vaping outside, and he told me that it isn't allowed out there either. I'm sorry but I've been vaping outside next to management and lifeguards no complaints. I don't blow it in anyone's face or near anyone. I pay for 3 gym memberships, and I go to this gym to relax almost everyday . I'm sorry but between this guy, and lack of some equipment I'm going to cancel. Great facility with a great atmosphere. When we toured the place, we were impressed, although the weight area seemed to be shoehorned into a tight area. Even at 5:30am, it could be difficult to get an open station (in part due to early classes), and dumbbells could be scarce. No joke, one time I looked over the rack area, and in the 5 rack stations, 4 had people sitting and looking at their mobile phones. Again, only 5 rack stations were available because a class was going on. In the end, the deciding factor to joining the club was the 2 full basketball courts. I love to wind down after a workout by shooting around or getting into a pickup game. Over the length of our membership, it could be difficult to get on the court due to leagues, summer camp, general usage, etc. We got word that they would transition one of the full basketball courts for pickleball use. Even though there are plenty of pickleball courts outside. Of course, the reasoning was "they need a place to play in the event of inclement weather". Please. Taking away a basketball court resulted in our membership cancellation. Again, a great facility for many things, but the reduced priority placed upon the weightlifting area and the reduced priority of members interested in basketball amounted to us canceling our membership. read more

Member for over a year. Great location and facility has a great mix of free weights, machines, and cardio equipment etc. Locker rooms are outfitted with what you'd expect and cleanliness is adequate. Sauna and steam room are nice and the indoor/outdoor pools are amazing. Wide variety of trainers and group fitness instructors that run classes. Unfortunately my main gym is the city center lifetime which is much older than the Baybrook one. I wanted to really rave about this place. I was added on my husband's membership and gave it a shot for a month. Initially so excited about all they have to offer! I noticed they had Pilates and that was really on the top of list for me to get into. Little be known, after paying a good little chunk of money for a membership there is however ADDITIONAL fees to attend the reformer Pilates classes. Cool, I figured there had to be a catch. I proceeded to ask the front desk for more info. How are the receptionists not able to give out that information, you know, to help the client that is current in front of them? She took my number down for someone to get in touch. Really the only question I was asking was is how much? Pretty simple. It took a couple of days until I received a text from Vincent. He asked me about my goals and why I wanted to choose Pilates. I responded and asked about the price. He would not just give me a straight answer. I was feeling like this was a salesman tactic and I did not appreciate it. He said I could come in to try out a class and we'd discuss further. I did not and do not like to waste my time if it's not something I will be able to continue and proceed with financially. I then got no response and was straight forward about wanting to know the fees before proceeding with a trial class. I was left on read and never received an answer. I signed up for Life Time about a month ago with their standard package and have mostly enjoyed it. However, I am disappointed they don't offer more morning group classes. It looks like during the week they offer classes in the 5:15/5:30 AM timeframe and then not again until 8 or 8:30 AM. I wish there was a 6/6:30 AM group class to attend during the week, which would encourage me to go more often on my way to work. Other than that, I find the various group classes I've attended entertaining and good workouts. The facilities are pristine. The workout and weightlifting machines are top of the line and there are tons. One warning if you are being cautious during the pandemic- they do not enforce masking of patrons in the gym, group classes, public areas, etc. I am fully vaccinated so it isn't a major concern for me, but if it is to you then I would wait to join until you're comfortable with that. However, they do a full clean of all equipment after each class and regularly of the facilities throughout the day. All in all, the one thing I'd change is another AM class time!!! On July 20th 2021 the gym lockers where tamper with and we had our keys and wallet stolen between our arrival time 630 to 7pm. We received alerts on purchases being made and immediately went to the locker room and three other members where there stating there items in the locker had been moved we where unable to get open our locker and had to get someone to override and open locker. When we informed the aquatic manager he wrote down on a piece of paper are information and didn't seem bother of what occur in his business. We had to contact the police ourselves and wait over 5 HRD to report it and have someone out there. There lack of concern for this occurring worried me because they didn't care. When we went back I ask to speak to the aquatic manager and he had left. We weren't provided an incident number and he didn't seem to escalate this to his leadership. The second manager was understanding and she inputted the information and provided the incident . Not once did the aquatic manager moved to a computer he was more ready to go home. I hope one day you don't have to be on our shoes and someone treats you like shit like you did to us. We couldn't even go anywhere because the thief's stole our damn car keys and we had to wait to get someone to open it. At this point it's not even safe to leave your damn keys in the locker . If your a that thief and stole id and military id with keys I hope the cops catch the thief and prosecute. .. No one from company followed up with incident and as you can see the crime at that location affecting consumers has increased with them covering themselves as not responsible stay away from this location. They report any negative reviews to google to have them removed and now additional customers experience issues so that you aren't aware of what occurs in establishment read more

The club is nice, and the employees are helpful. The equipment is good, and the classes are good. If you don't run into what I ran into below, and like things to be very 'luxury' style, and don't mind paying the luxury price, I highly recommend it. However - I cancelled my membership because my preferred time to workout is right after work. (5pm), and they started these classes that took up ALL of the equipment I would use during that time. Its already crowded enough without dumping a class full of people all over the equipment. I can't see paying 100 bucks+ a month for equipment not to be available to me at some point in the hour I am there. So - I cancelled. I tried time and time again to resolve my issue with Life Time before writing this review, but their management refuses to work with me. I took a tour of the facility in February just to see what it was about. The gym is beautiful and very nicely equipped. I ended up signing up for a membership there on the spot. As part of the membership, you get a free "training session" with one of the personal trainers. The sales associate listened to my goals and claimed to choose a trainer based on my particular goals. My session was scheduled for 9am the next morning. I arrived in my workout clothes ready to sweat. I met my trainer at the desk and was led to an office area. He gave me an overview of the gym and some additional services they offer. He really pushed the idea that if I was planning on getting the best out of the gym, I should really take advantage of these other services (nutritional coaching, stress testing, etc.). Not surprisingly, these services are not covered in the membership and cost hundreds of dollars. After about 35-40 minutes of what amounted to a sales pitch from the trainer, he took my weight, body fat %, and did some stretching with me. He noted some problem areas with mobility and said he would show me some foam roller exercises I could do to help (never happened). He walked me through the facility and pointed to a few different pieces of equipment, but he didn't show me how to use anything. I was told it was a training session, and I didn't touch any piece of equipment or do a single exercise. After the walkthrough, he led me back to the office area to try and close the sale. I left after an hour and 15 minutes feeling like my time was completely wasted. When I got home, I contacted my sales representative to express my frustration with the "training session." She apologized and said she would speak with the personal training manager. She assured me it's not supposed to be a sales pitch. That week, I did give the facility a fair chance, but it just ended up being a little too far from my house to be convenient. I enjoyed working out there, but it was just a little too far of a drive. I called my sales representative to cancel the membership and was told I had to MAIL IN a PHYSICAL LETTER to the corporate office or stop by the facility in person. Five days into my membership, I dropped off a signed cancellation letter at the front desk. Fast forward to June 2019, and Life Time has continued to charge me a monthly free every month since February 2019. I have disputed every charge with my credit card company, and the credit card company has gotten my money back for me. After about three months of this, Life Time's charges will not even go through my credit card company when they attempt the charges. Now, Life Time is emailing me EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. with a balance report threatening to suspend my account that I canceled almost FIVE MONTHS AGO. I have called and emailed every manager I can think of, and they refuse to call me back. It has become a nightmare situation. My advice is to think LONG and HARD before signing up with Life Time. They are trying to tell you something with their name. THEY WILL CHARGE YOU FOR YOUR ENTIRE LIFETIME. read more

I signed up not realizing masks weren't required I didn't have a vaccine at the time and told Shane I would like to cancel after they called me about 15 times after I signed up! He basically said no i'm not allowed to cancel not caring about the fact that I was looking out for my own safety. They charged me for the membership and now that I have a vaccine I felt comfortable to go. This location is pointless as the steam room never works. I have been a member at LTF since the 2005 and never been harassed by a worker as much as the ones here! They are like car salesman it's almost annoying. Personally, I do not recommend a membership if you're looking to lift weights. Many times of the day the gym is overcrowded for cardio or free weights and a lot of people who go don't really have a lot of respect for other people depending on the day. For the pool areas though? I think it's pretty good, most of my family members are content with the pool area since they mainly work out there but careful going into the hot tubs because I've seen a lot of people go in the hot tubs with their work out clothes. Gorgeous facility. Horrible customer service. Trainers don't show up or seem to know about appointments, employees rudely ask you to leave the conference room (originally meant for members) in the middle of your Zoom, and some of the women at the front desk are bullies. The class instructors, yoga classes, and food are pretty good. If you don't mind the above issues, it's a gorgeous place, just don't expect too much from the front desk or trainers. read more
