My experience so far is good. I only just started using this gym for yoga classes. The 4 classes so far have been enriching and enjoyable. Today I'm coming to use the sauna to reap the benefits of sweat. I came in early to avoid the days crowd. I'm impressed with the cleanliness, very clear instructions and everything in its place. The cleaning crew was everywhere but out of members way, which is impressive considering the number of members coming and going. The steam sauna is my favorite, reminding me of a few I used in Norway and Sweden. I have previously used dry heat saunas, but I find I enjoy the steam. read more

My wife finally made the leap and has joined a health club - Lifetime FItness. We first started going to Lifetime Sugarloaf because that was the club I have been a member of for some time, and she said that her work is only a few minutes away from Lifetime Johns Creek. We decided to pay a few extra dollars to have access to Lifetime Fitness Johns Creek as it's so close to her work and also because it's a higher tier than the Lifetime Fitness in Sugarloaf. After doing a google maps navigation, I realized that this club is exactly the same distance from my house except in the opposite direction so my wife and I decided to visit. I've been to this club a handful of times, and like it a lot. It has the same set up and layout as the Life Time in Duluth (Sugarloaf), but the club seems a bit higher end and the ambiance is a little more luxurious. Equipment is all in working order, and I've heard the kids center and activities is a little more organized than Life Time Sugarloaf. I am still deciding if I will make this my main club, but enjoy the flexibility and option of coming here when my wife wants to work out here after work. I think both the Lifetime Sugarloaf and Lifetime Johns Creek locations are wonderful and give them high marks for being an excellent workout facility. 5 solid stars and two thumbs way up for Life Time Johns Creek! Well, my schedule just changed and now the swim teams are presenting a real challenge. They shut down the lap pool between 4p-8p every day for swim teams. That's insane, that a club that charges so much makes the pool completely useless at the busiest time of day when most members who swim want to use it. I hope they're making tons of money by renting it out! Though I guess I shouldn't complain. I bet when Medley opens across the street, they splash some paint on this joint, call it "diamond level" and charge $350 a month for it like at North Druid Hills. read more

Lifetime membership is increasing their payments and have heavy limitations in bringing in guests. Lifetime app is also very limited to what you can do if you're not spending an extra dollar on there. The only free class that comes with a membership is some yoga classes. Other than that, reserving a pickle ball court, having a personal trainer, or even other programs charge you extra money. Your $130 a month that you pay at this gym is also overcrowded whenever you work out, relax in the pool area, or even if you want to use the basketball/pickleball court. read more

I have been going here for the past few weeks and rejoined after a few years. This lifetime is smaller than some other branches but still offers a variety of classes and has a good number of exercise equipment. I never had any issues or had to wait on someone to finish working out to use the machines. They do have a pickle ball court and a rock climbing wall. I haven't used the pool yet but it looks pretty nice. The women bathrooms are stocked up with necessities such as makeup remover wipes, mouthwash, lotion and razors if needed. We been with Lifetime Johnscreek since 3 years, my son goes to swim classes there. Initially they were okay but ever since they removed the Sunday schedule the group swim lessons are waste of time and effort. There were instances when 5 kids were put under one instructor & on complaining they got another instructor. My son is stuck at same level for months together,especially because there is no consistent trainer, trainers change every single week & I have been expressing my concern with the swim lessons manager. She is extremely rude & says my son skill level could be the issue & only offer she could offer is cancel membership. read more

Once upon a time ago, Life Time was amazing. I was one of the first customers at the one built in Cary, NC, and I'm sure this one used to be the best gym in the area. Today, it's merely a good enough place. The biggest highlight is the amount of dumbbells and squat racks that they have. No smith machines like Planet Fitness. This is a gym with a very good mixture of things. The pool and hot tub are pretty great. That said... You think people exaggerate about the amount of times the pool needs to close because of kids pooping in it. Sadly, this is no exaggeration. We are seeing Idiocracy play out in real time. Those who shouldn't reproduce are the ones reproducing at the craziest rate. Honest to goodness, it should be a fine the first time it happens and a revocation of the membership if it happens again. The biggest issue and why this is a true 2.5 stars to me: the staff sucks. There are some incredibly rude people. I had a staff member try to run me over with a towel cart when I was walking in an open area. This is really inexcusable. She could've just waited or made a slight detour in her path. I've seen staff members re-rack barbells in improper places despite the rack having labels... Look, I agree that it's total classless BS that people aren't re-racking their own weights. This place is a gym and more. Came here to go to the pool and to relax and got more than what i came for. Went to the outdoor pool and between the pool, chair set up, and fruit bar, O felt like i was at a resort. Also played basketball, and went to the Sauna. Overall it was such an amazing experience that I didn't want to leave. Looking forward to coming back here to experience everything all over again. read more

I have been a member of Life Time Fitness for over 20 years. Just recently the pool at the Sugarlof location needed repairs. So I had to attend the Johns Creek location. The customer service at this location is awful. Just terrible. It makes me not want to ever attend any Life Time. I will never go to this location ever again. Do yourself a favor, don't join this location. The customer service is horrendous. They don't even try to be hospitable. The entire leadership team at this location needs much needed training on the customer experience. Actually, I have a better recomemdatuon. Because I have tried this location a few times. My kids went to day camp and were caught into a verbal fight with other kids (frankly speaking, I did not know what happened). The counselors still put them in the same group all day long, ignoring potential safety issues. Kids were calling each others losers and using racial slurs. After I reported the issues, the supervisor tried to avoid taking responsibility and refused to apologize. There is obviously no protocol on a situation like this. First off I need to say I came to this gym probably when it first opened. I loved it, it was so worth it even though back then my friends would say it was so overpriced. I didn't think so because I was paying for the service and the all in one spa/gym/children's care/etc. I put it on hold during Covid and then my kids stuff got busy so I canceled it back in 2022. I came back in today with a friend as a guest because we got out of school early for our kids. We came in and the lady (older lady who's probably a receptionist or front desk) up front gave us this unwelcomed disgusted look like we aren't welcomed since we were just guests of the pool. I was thinking about rejoining since my kids are older now and can go swimming indoors. This lady literally was like we're signature - you probably can't afford us in a passive aggressive way as she was explaining to me the new pricing. After that, She gave us a hard time by asking us all kinds of questions , when all she had to do was get us to sign a waiver. Which was what I did back when I had the membership whenever I brought in a guest. Got into the indoor pool and the lifeguards were all extremely rude. High schoolers who probably don't get paid enough to be there so they took out on the guests. One specific Asian girl who was literally an hawk over us watching out every move. She's prob the manager in the pool or something. Not an high schooler, gets paid a little bit more, probably in college. Regardless the kids had a great time. We washed up and left. Usually when I leave the gym before someone would say bye to us. The same old lady up front didn't say a word as we were leaving. Gave us the same stare. Not done yet. We were outside in the parking lot, kids were across the crosswalk playing with sticks like kids do. There was a small tree that my son climbed on and broke a small branch off. Ok that's my kids problem, I should've scolded him for that. The Asian girl from the pool and 2 other guys rushed out and started yelling at us "you should be with your kids on the same road and don't get on our trees". Ok I get the point. But did it take 3 people and all the yelling instead of being more polite about it? Like hey it's too dangerous for your kids please get off and please get them to be by your at all times for their safety of cars? No they were yelling. Then some guy with an all gray suite came out after while we're trying to get the kids back to us. Repeating the same thing. Don't break our trees branches !! Ok.. we got the point dude, we need someone who looks like a tool to repeat the same thing? It's not like we were just standing there after, we were trying to gather the kids back to our cars to leave... he left with his dark blue Tesla after and didn't say anything else to us. This review is nothing against the employees of the facility. I canceled my membership two days ago after being a member for years. The corporate policy regarding C19 is unscientific and illogical. Decades of peer reviewed medical studies have demonstrated that masks do not prevent/slow the spread of viral respiratory illnesses. There is also no correlation between mask orders and improved outcomes. Germany, Poland, Austria and so many other country's data has proven this. Lifetime Fitness is also no longer allowing those with medical disabilities to be exempt. Discrimination isn't ok. They have signs all over the gym that say "wear a mask until actively exercising." Meanwhile, members are breathing hard and heavy on the stairclimber, treadmill, during high intensity training, and in the free weights area. All of these activities are spray clouds of microscopic droplets (with germs and viruses) all over the gym. That doesn't concern me, not in the least because I'm aware of the virtually 100% survival rate (per CDC stats) of C19. This is also why we have an immune system. Those who are most vulnerable (those over 70 with multiple chronic conditions) should stay home if concerned. If Lifetime Fitness was so concerned about "the spread" shouldn't they make people mask up during workouts? It also hasn't been nice these last several months to see masks littered throughout the parking lot. It devalues the establishment further. Corporate policy should not be based on hysteria. I love lifetime. I have been coming here on and off since it opened in the 2000s. It's honestly the best gym. I've been to nearby gyms and university gyms, but this lifetime just hits different. Their facility is so clean and nice. I feel like I walk into a spa every time I exercise. Not happy! I joined to let my son play basketball, and they constantly close the gym to use it for babysitting, birthday parties, and sword tournaments. Even if the kids are playing they tell them they must leave. So unfair!! We pay our dues. One lady told us we could rent out the gym too, why should we when the gym is part of the membership. They said they make hundreds of dollars to rent it out so too bad! In other words, the members don't matter, they are double dipping on making money. I just moved here from Minnesota last month and one of the first things that I did was to stop into my local lifetime. It is very similar to the one in Lakeville where I worked and belonged to. That one was like a home to me and I was hipped that the similarities did not end there. As luck would have it they don't. I have a great new Pilates/fitness instructor, Sarah and the yoga instructor Tiffany is good as well. Of course no lifetime would be complete without a nice pool, this one, like the one in Lakeville has Both an indoor and outdoor pool. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs, saunas and steamrooms. If only it had tennis it would be the same, but the Lifetime Tennis in Peachtree Corners is not that far away so all and all I am set. read more

*Sending in a report to the Better Business Bureau Some guy that looks like he is testing the pool water (he wears a bright red suit) throws the water he mixes in a container back into the pool. It just feels unsanitary. He doesn't tell us what he's doing, he just has a smug look on his face and comes off as arrogant as the rest of the lifeguard staff. For this I'm sending in a report to the Better Business Bureau. Going to the gym shouldn't be this stressful. Lifeguards are RUDE, come across as ignorant and inconsiderate. Every Saturday and Sunday morning they set up for the kids swim classes about 1 hour before they even start. So I find their equipment buckets on top of my towel or my towel and swim accessories kicked to the side by staff. One Saturday I had to lift their container off of my glasses. They have no regard for anyone and don't really need to drag out those big blue inserts so early which make one feel rushed and as if they need to get out of the pool. And do they need to yell so loudly during the lesson? Every Sunday I hear "SEBASTIANNNN!!!! Kick-kick-kick-kick!!!!" as if the little boy is not right there in front of them. It's a joy to see children swimming but why be obnoxious about it AND TOTALLY LOUD!? There's a gentleman who needs the outside lane of the leisure pool and his team asks people to please get out of that lane so he can use it. Happens nearly every weekend. Sundays around 10am. If he needs it every week at that time then it should be listed on the schedule and cones out in place so we don't get in the lane and then are asked to get out. There are NO HAND RAILS except on the outside lanes. You go into someone else's lane to access the inside lanes (and there are many but unless you are flexible with dexterity it's painful to try and crouch down and slide in - I see people try and it's awful - especially some of the more senior members who aren't able to bend about like they used to). I joined a few years ago and this issue has yet to have been resolved. It's damn near impossible to get in the lane or out of it without disturbing the other swimmers. It's clearly not designed with anyone else in mind minus kids and youth. Absolute waste of money and I really wish there was a better aquatic center in Atlanta cause I'm EAGER TO QUIT THIS PLACE! The only good thing is all other staff minus lifeguards are nice and don't cherry pick to whom they speak. If another company comes in with an improved concept, Lifetime is finished!!!! read more

I love Life Time Johns Creek. Everyone is professional from the front desk to the trainers. They offer great weight loss programs, fitness classes and even healthy onsite cafe with great tasting food. The child center has the BEST staff, they are very nurturing and actively engage the children. If you are new to classes try Tiffany's Dance Jam or Zumba she is super positive and is a great teacher even if you are a beginner. Josh has an awesome glute and kickboxing classes back to back Saturday morning. Extreme with Caitlin is really good too and she is really motivational and she does the whole class with you. read more

Dear franchise owner of Johns Creek LifeTime Fitness, your dishonest and unprofessional team are ruining your business. I rarely gave bad reviews to local business. However, my experience of this week with your Life Time Fitness team, especially the Member Services Manager in Training Kaitlin Casey, far exceeded any bad experience I had before. They earned the worst and the longest review I ever gave. If Yelp allowed, I would give them a negative 5 stars. I have been a member of Life Time Fitness of Johns Creek since 2015. This is a beautiful facility. The support and maintenance team are doing a decent job keeping the facility neat and clean. My kids love the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Over the two years of 2016 and 2017, I used the facility to train myself successfully for two marathons and lost over 20 lbs. Because I traveled a lot and spend most of my time running on outdoor trails when I am back in town, I couldn't justify paying $80+ per months for occasional usage of Life Time Fitness. I joined LA Fitness Johns Creek on January 29th. Their monthly fee is a quarter of what I paid you. The same night I joined LA Fitness, I went to Life Time Fitness to cancel my membership. A gentleman that I can't remember name asked me to fill out a pink form and told me that I would see one more charge on my credit card and all would be set. I did see the charge posted in February. I thought all should be clear and threw the pink form away. It turned out to be a big mistake. I should have read the reviews on Yelp and kept the form for my record for at least another a few months. I noticed another charge on my credit card being posted the night of March 30th. I went to Life Time Fitness on April 1st to check what's going on. I was surprised to find out that I have to cancel my membership AGAIN. This time, the girl at front desk used computer to capture my signature. She told me that someone at Life Time Fitness needs to put my cancellation into "the system". I should sign on a digital signature pad, instead of the pink paper I signed the evening of January 29th. I should have received an email of cancellation confirmation from the member service manager. Ms Brittney S., your team I spoke with the night of January 29th never told me about all above. It seems they didn't put my cancellation information into the system. I was still an active member. My credit card was still being charged. The front desk girl told me that I don't need to worry because LifeTime Fitness should have kept a copy of the cancellation/customer service form I filled out on January 29th. The Member Service manager Kaitlin Casey will come in office the next day to address this issue and will call me. It never happened! I went to Life Time on April 2nd, waited for 20 minutes for your team to locate Kaitlin. She told me that she didn't see a copy of my form and need to call "the corporate". She put notes into the computer and promised to call me the end of the day to update me on the progress. Again, it never happened! I went to Life Time the following day, waited for another 30 minutes for your team to locate Kaitlin. She seems totally forgot what's going on. After searched in "the system" and a few minutes Q&A, she finally recalled what she promised. She told me that she could not locate the copy of the customer service form I filled out on January 29th. Ha, your staff members not only didn't follow the process to put my cancellation into "the system", they also failed your record management process and didn't retain my record accordingly. Kaitlin said that she needs to escalate the situation to the general manager Mishkat Lightwala. She put a reminder on her computer calendar, and promised to call me back 9:30 AM the next day. Again, it never happened! I called the number on her business card and left a voice message. She never called me back. That's it. I will work directly with Life Time corporate and my credit card company to get my money back from so on. I believe good communication and trust-based interaction is the key to good customer experience and success business. I haven't seen any of that in your team. They are unprofessional. They failed to follow set business process. What makes it worse is the empty commitment they made to your customers. Please train your team well. Don't let them ruin your business. read more

This place is humungous. I suppose that's why membership fees are like $80. I tried out the 7 day risk free trial, and I must say I am in love with this place. If only there was a location that's convenient for me or if I had a consistent workout buddy. As you enter there will be a café to your right. The locker room was super huge with a sauna inside btw. From the upper floor with the cardio and weights, you can oversee the swimming pool and basketball courts, depending on the workout area. Up here, there was the dance studio area that can be used for practice. I think there was another area as I saw signs at the opposite end of this upper level. So from what I can observe, the lower level has the basketball courts and swimming pools. I think there was also an area for racket ball as well. I can't remember exactly. This place was overall spacious, clean, and had lots of people of varying ages and fitness levels. I joined the club because I wanted to take advantage of the pool. What's not explained or emphasized enough during the enrollment process is that from 4:45pm - 9:30pm the pool (lap and leisure) are reserved for swim team practice or youth programs. While not ideal, I had moved my schedule around to swim before bed instead of after work. Now however, the club has decided to drop the 24 hour format that I joined under an close from midnight to 4am (I've heard four separate reasons and the one I believe most is the one the GM denies hardest). Since I usually found myself leaving at midnight thirty, because I had to deal with the extreme limitation on the available pool hours, I find the club has lost all value. There are many options in the Atlanta area, many much more cost efficient than Lifetime, any New Year's Resolution club shoppers should explore those fully before considering Lifetime. read more

Some Management laughed, made jokes and doubted the service of a active duty United States Marine (my brother) thank goodness for some lady who was a GM (katelyn I think was her name) I think was able to work something out to get him in the gym while he was on leave. We now see how they treat military personnel and family. How Bethany I think was her name still has a job here is beyond me. I had questions about membership called my aunt to confirm something she said my aunt wasn't even a member, I placed my aunt on speaker phone Bethany took my phone to talk to my aunt after multiple times cutting my aunt off she hung up the phone on my aunt, take note this is my private cell phone she had no business hanging up my phone call. She should of just handed the phone back to me. Thank goodness she didn't break my cell phone this lady should not be around members AT ALL. after that she got an attitude and tried to tell me my aunt was Rude, disrespectful, wasn't going to deal with her anymore and didn't consent with that phone call? But she took my phone and engaged in the call? Is she not here to serve the customers??? What the fuck is going on at this gym. Lifetime used to be such a great gym in the Atlanta area. They have always discriminated against people who play basketball (Anytime they can find any type of event to hold they do it in the basketball gym to close it) They never close that dance studio or the yoga room for anything else because could that upset their lighter complexion members. If a rim breaks at the gym it takes months to fix, There's no new balls and they buy cheap ones for the gym. Now if a yoga mat rips or is stolen it's replaced immediately. I spin bike goes down, no more than 2 days and it's taken care of but hey I guess they're more valued. People came in droves to lifetime because of their 2 courts and open play but now that is gone. They have destroyed the gym by adding pickle ball full time and tearing up the gym floor for people to play this new game for 4-5 hours a day. And when kids club needs more space or there's a birthday party do you think they will close the pickle ball side? Hell no it's always gonna be basketball shut down. By the way this is a Atlanta thing too, I travel all over the country and most life times only allow basketball and volleyball on the hoop court. I'm really getting so over this gym. It's close and convenient for fitting in workouts from my job but I'm paying so much for a place I don't even utilize half the stuff here. And I hired the worst trainer from here and ended up having to fire in less than 2 weeks. And then found out the manager didn't put through my refund and had to hound him again for it. And I'm so tired of the machine wipes being out. Is it that hard to keep simple things like that stocked? People have no qualms putting their sweaty bodies on benches and not wiping after they leave. I see it all the time. I thought that was one of the perks I'm paying for. There are towels just thrown on the floor and weights out of place. I'm typically on a time crunch and I'd like to not have to hunt out a wipes holder that actually has wipes or search out the 20 lb weights that are on the other side of the gym. Had the worst experience I have ever had in my 3 years of being a member. The experience started poorly from the moment I walked through the door. I brought two families as guests with me so I checked in and used my guest passes which went as usual. A gentleman got the adults to sign in and also got them to sign waivers for their kids as we were headed to the pool. We got into the family locker room when the older woman with short hair burst in and yelled at me stating I didn't get my guests to sign the children's waivers and that we all needed to exit immediately to sign the waivers. The kids were already undressing so we quickly got them dressed and went back out. The gentleman that was previously helping us waived to us and said you can go back in, I already had your guests sign the waivers. She was mistaken. The woman never apologized for yelling at us. I also found out from one of my guests that she inquired to the woman about if her previous membership was still on hold to which she found out they had cancelled her membership in 2022. She inquired about a new membership and the rude woman at the desk told her "we are signature now. You likely can't afford to be a member anymore." I'm upset to find out a front desk employee at a gym demeaned a past member and current guest of the gym who was interested in returning. I apologized to my guests for the rude experience and we went on our way. My daughter has been going to the pool since we became members and took lessons for years at this location. We used to be familiar with all of the staff but the staff on this day was all new faces. Regardless we are familiar with the pool and so we went in as usual. The kids tried grabbing floats and an Asian woman from the pool office came out and chastised the children who were all 7 years old that they could not play with the kick boards or other floats because they would break them. Instead of approaching the parents and politely asking us not to use the equipment she chose to be rude to 3 children, one of which who had been using that same equipment for the past 3 years. She continued to watch over us like a hawk and made the entire experience for us completely uncomfortable. It felt as though our children were not welcome regardless of it being "family swim" time. we were in the pool for 3.5 hours doing our best to abide by all of the new rules that seemed to be created the moment they tried to enjoy themselves. Our last and final awful experience was as we were leaving. when we got out, we decided to chat for a while as the kids played with the some sticks. One of the kids climbed a small tree and accidentally broke a branch when suddenly, the woman from the pool and two other guys came rushing out of the building and immediately started yelling at the kids, voices raised. We quickly began gathering the kids when suddenly another gentleman came out in a skin tight blue linen suit who also began yelling at both the kids and us. I later learned his name is Chris Bain and he is the recently new general manager of the gym. On lifetime's website, they preach a culture of inclusion but after today it was made abundantly clear that inclusion does not include families. I will likely never come back to this location at the risk of being verbally assaulted and abused, unable to fully enjoy the environment, and chastised. The turnover of staff that has occurred at this location demonstrates that lack of training or disregard for training its employees have in customer service and etiquette which is sad because I used to really love this location. I brought my friends there with such glowing reviews and they were considering joining but after today they wondered why I was even still a member. I pay lifetime thousands of dollars a year in membership dues to be treated like garbage which is such an unfortunate turn of events as it used to not be like that. I will continue to enjoy the other locations like peachtree corners and Alpharetta but I will never step foot in johns creek again and I will advise others to not join this gym. read more
