Overpriced, overhyped, and over it... This gym is a constant disappointment, you overpay for a gym filled with teenagers and older people with zero gym etiquette. I identified several safety concerns with the manager and it went in one ear and out the other. As much as I love this gym and all the employees and the classes, it is a true shame that the Lifetime corporation does not show the same loyalty towards its members as it's members show for Lifetime. You would think that they want to treat their members well and give them incentives, no what they do instead of appreciating your loyalty, is increase your membership dues. Mine have increased two times in a year with no stop in sight. They constantly and continuously increase membership dues rather than appreciating the fact that they have signature members that want to stay with them and have been loyal since the opening. Myself and various other longstanding members have written to the general manager only to be told that there is nothing he can do and that we should expect increases and that they come from corporate. I moved to Miami in October 2023, but we had taken some trips before that so I had been able to do the virtual tour before they opened. At the time, I just couldn't see how I could justify the price. Ultimately, after moving here, I decided I needed to give it a try. I was 19 months post partum and dying to get back into a workout routine. The most important thing to me at first was the kids program. I wfh with my child, and she had some separation anxiety. (I toured a couple other local gyms as well but was not impressed with their childcare options). But the Kids Academy is amazing!! Everyone who works there is so friendly and nurturing, and the programming for the toddlers is so fun! Now she is almost 2.5 and she loves going. I always feel secure dropping her off there with the systems they have in place, I like that there are open windows you can see in when you walk in to the lobby, it's so clean and welcoming, and I just feel really comfortable with the people who work there. The rest of the facility is so nice too and so clean. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everyone in every department is friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The lounge has a fun vibe even during the day, and the cafe has great protein drinks (though a little pricey). I've had a couple services in the Life Spa, and I was happy with both and felt the prices were reasonable/ average. I even took my toddler to a "parent and me yoga" class which was free as part of her junior membership and it was so cute. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Even the people who work out there are nice and considerate for the most part.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I spend most of my time in the free weights area in the third floor, and everything is very orderly. People there seem to practice great gym etiquette. I usually don't even need my own music, and it does sort of feel like a party. The locker rooms are nice and spacious, and the showers are clean. I love the big vanity area to get ready, dry hair, etc. I've used the resort pool area a few times. It's a fun activity to do with my daughter for something different. We attended their 4th of July party (and I brought my husband in as a guest), and it was so fun! Such a great way to celebrate the holiday. I also love that we have guest passes. Wonderful staff, great amenities, and large gym space!!! It was our first time visiting LifeTime Fitness and even though there is a day pass for $75 it is wildly worth it to check out all they have to offer. The gym has three floors: First floor - Lounge, Cafe, Women and Men's locker connecting to indoor pool and out door pool sections. Second Floor - Classes (Yoga, Pilates, Cycling, etc) Third Floor - Gym Equipment (treadmills, pickleball, weights, 12 Olympic cages, circuit cross fit section, and more) Our tour guide Amanda was the sweetest and she answered all of our questions. The starting fee at the moment is approximately $269 (I cannot remember exactly!) and includes all the amenities and even if you have children between ages 3 months to 11 years old they have a second for them kind of like a day care center. The locker rooms for women are very organized and always clean, they have towels everywhere, blow dryers, lotion, razors, soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, shaving cream, deodorant and all! I had high hopes for Life Time - The Falls, especially given the premium price point (nearly $600/month for my family), but my experience fell far below expectations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]What started as a simple request to modify my membership--removing my husband and daughter due to poor experiences at the pool--quickly turned into a disappointing lesson in how not to treat a paying member.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I was told my rate would actually increase by $10/month if I made that change. While $10 may seem small, the handling of the situation lacked any sense of care or effort to retain my membership. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Staff interactions at the front desk and pool were consistently unfriendly, and the culture felt rigid rather than welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] One example: we watched a child be turned away from the slide and told to walk back down the stairs--simply for reaching the top at 7:00 p.m. on the dot. The issues began from the moment I tried to tour the "club". When I finally went with my husband, they were not available to assist us & told us to come back during a weekday. We scheduled a tour & brought along our toddler. We were on time but had to wait over half an hour for someone to give us a tour! They had us waiting in the coffee lounge with our 2 year old & kept ushering us out of everyone's way when he was just walking around. One red flag that I should've paid more attention to was a lady who was complaining about her yoga class & instructor. At that point we persisted in asking if anyone was going to help us & were about to leave but they finally sent a personal trainer to give us the tour. We ended up getting membership for my toddler & myself. The trainer was very welcoming but gave incorrect information specific to us about some amenities, which I had later realized. We were told the Kids Club/Academy had classes like martial arts, yoga, arts & crafts, etc. Come to find out after obtaining membership, that my son was ineligible due to his age. That was not appreciated. Another thing were the slides outside. I was told the height limit was no more than 38" or 40" max, which I found out later was actually 42". Therefore my son couldn't enjoy the slides either. A MAJOR issue I had was that everything is done through the app & apparently, mine was not letting me book anything for either of us! (Screenshot provided). I wasted the first days of membership trying to remedy this by visiting the club, speaking to the front desk, & calling concierge. No one ended up being necessarily helpful. Sam and Danny (not sure how to spell her name) tried to help me & escalated the issue to Luke but he never came around. I waited for him with my bored toddler for over 20 minutes & eventually they just gave me concierge's number to fix it myself! I spoke to Keith in the app's tech department & nothing was fixed until a day or two later. I wasted so much time figuring things out myself & no one cared. They're all so new and some need more training. My saving grace was Sam telling me there is a 7 day money back guarantee, which I eventually ended up doing! Once I became familiar with the app, I began to realize that classes aren't as "available" as I was let on to think. You basically have to be lucky or book days in advance because it's so new & busy. These sentiments were reciprocated by 2 ladies I met one day, agreeing that it was unreasonably difficult to book things. In the few days I had membership, I was only able to take 1 training session (the one included with membership), 2 real classes & 1 pilates "intro". Shockingly, they ran out of 3 lb weights in one of the group classes. Should also be noted that your membership does not include Pilates classes. I attended an "intro" & that is where they disclose pricing for future classes. And the girl who hosted these classes was very monotone. Some other things include one of the sauna rooms not working one of the days (I used the other one available) & the elevator lights not functioning. It worked but my toddler did NOT appreciate a dark elevator. Luke was smug in his response to that. My husband was my guest that day (you're allowed 2 guests/month) & even he asked what that guys problem was. Speaking of guests, the rules are so irrational in that the 2 passes cannot be used by the same person in a span of 30 days. And even then, because of the difficulty getting a class, you're not really able to do classes together - I have seen classes with a waitlist of over 40 people! What is that?! And get this...I had booked the hydromassage chair & I got there 5 minutes after, since I came from cleaning up a class, & they gave up my spot! They told me to wait but no one got up & I left. One of the last things to note is that they give you a $25 credit for the spa. I ended up using it for a $50 service that was literally to wash & brush my hair & that's it. LOL! The service ended up being shorter than the time indicated on the app so there's that. There was nothing else available to book in the times that I was at the club. In a previous review, the noise level was mentioned & I agree. The family bathroom walls felt like they were shaking. Parking was also mentioned & it's pretty rough! All in all, after experiencing it, I'm just glad we were able to opt-out after 7 days because even cancelling a regular membership means you still have to pay an extra month (read the contract & other reviews online from other locations). read more

I am hooked and foresee being a long term member. However, I'm concerned about cleanliness in the bathrooms, showers and everywhere really. I've seen zero to low cleansing and sanitizing maintenance from dead lizards to dirt and grimy shower stalls with hair and fake lashes everywhere. Also, wipe and clean your weights and exercise balls cause the morning crew I observed today was appalling at wiping and sanitizing. Mostly saw towel replenishing and that is not ok considering how busy the classes and the gym itself gets! Especially now, before gym gets even more customers, please enforce round the clock cleaning to avoid ringworm or other outbreaks of any sort. Majority of fitness classes are included in membership and all other amenities so it's definitely a fitness club more so than a gym only so I expect management to get strict on the cleaning crew asap. read more

This is an overdue review. We patiently waited for LifeTime to open and we signed up before touring the facility. Needless to say, it has exceeded all of our expectations. Unknowingly, I met a supportive group of women and instructors who make each session enjoyable! We found a community of people who seem happy! Gail, Luke, Amanda and all the front desk staff have treated us with the utmost respect and courtesy! Wish we had more time to take all of their classes. Weight training and learning how to use a barbell seemed intimidating at first. However, after continuously taking Mike or Chris' Alpha Strength class, I have not only gained knowledge but strength. Mike and Chris have unbelievable patience to re-demonstrate an exercise and are quick to correct my form. Mike has encouraged me to go past my comfort zone and complete exercises I never imagine were possible, such as box jumps or wall walks. Nessa, trainer, always has an electric, positive energy that is felt in any of her classes. Ultra Fit, Core, or Spinning. Paula's Flow yoga class is soothing or should I say, Zen. I walk away from her class in serenity. She exudes a sense of peace and tranquility when teaching. Bea, who teaches Sol yoga on Sundays, piqued my daughter's curiosity to learn yoga. My teenage daughter who was reluctant about exercising, now is intrigued. Eternally grateful. All the Barre instructors, Mari, Vanessa, Erin are excellent! Just wish I had more time to take their classes. PILATES! These sessions are special! I have taken Pilates at different studios with different instructors in the last few years. Arissa, Pilates instructor, is exceptional! She has a true passion for teaching her craft. She is classically trained and throughly educated in providing a full body Pilates workout. Arissa, instructs and demonstrates each Pilates exercise. She has a keen eye for detail, and hyper-focuses on each client. She provides 100% of her attention in ALL of her sessions. NEVER allowing for interruptions from the outside to interfere. I'm appreciative for her commitment and utmost professionalism before, during and after class! Arissa has guided, curated, and helped me develop, taking my Pilates journey to an entirely new level. Lastly, I want to recognize the support staff who keeps this beautiful building, impecable! A complete rip off. Over priced gym, with no breaks or discounts for teenagers. I can get much more for my kids and teenagers in a private gym for less than $260-$280 a month. The people that go there think only special high paying people go, yet anybody can go and seniors can go for a big discount. So your kids can't get a discount, but yet seniors get a discount. In order to support the level of staffing and cleanliness--not to mention the hardware and indoor and outdoor pools and recreation area does the Club have to have a lot of members? Yes. Does the Club handle this amount of members well? Yes. I sometimes get annoyed that folks leave their wet towels around. But they don't stay there long. I have my quiet space in the indoor pool and there are places in the club where you can sit and chill with your phone or laptop; or you can be social on the ground floor cafes. The machines and weights allow you to be in your own space as well given the breath of what is offered. I second the other reviewer who said, "You ever really want to love a place but just can't?" It is too loud on every floor. I pay $290 a month to come here. I've been a member for 5 months. I'm now thinking about alternatives because the noise levels are just too much. The only way I can drown everything else out is by blasting music in my own earbuds, which would be unsafe for my hearing. The noise levels make the Work area unusable for anyone except (apparently) people who can handle a TON of noise and distractions. I once read somewhere that the loud music is a tactic to actually keep people out of the gym while still being beholden to their monthly dues. I'm beginning to wonder if that is true. The exercise classes are also incredibly loud. The exercise classes that share an open space with the 3rd floor fitness area (Alpha, GTX) sometimes simultaneously, flood the 3rd floor with two sets of very loud music over the already-loud regular sound system. I've taken both of those classes, by the way, and although they are good, the music makes it very difficult to hear the instructor. Even within the "relaxng" SOL yoga class, with all lights off in a very still yoga pose, I could hear bass pumping from the cycle studio. And outside at the pool, even those speakers are ~10-20 decibels too much for true poolside relaxation. So yeah, the noise levels basically everywhere except the locker rooms are crazy. I'd rather go to LA Fitness, pay a *sixth* of the price, and deal with THEIR noise than this "more expensive" noise. Ha! What another reviewer mentioned about it feeling like a kid's camp/elementary school is also very true. I appreciate that there are facilities for families, but when they close the whole outdoor leisure pool because a kid defecated, they should at LEAST put up a sign. The way that the lifeguards handled that was surprising. No one said anything to me. The lifeguards even disappeared completely from the pool deck for a while. If an unsuspecting guest had come outside and tried to stop in the pool at that time, no one would have been around to warn them. Unfortunately it seems a lot of the time the aquatics staff does not have strong leadership and it can be fairly disorganized. If you expect the waterslides to be functioning when you come, don't. 9 times out of 10 when I am out there, they are not on. The outdoor spa once broke for a week, and the indoor spa in the ladies' locker room also broke at one point. I think communication should be better in this regard: the front desk should inform me of this when I check in. I shouldn't have to do a workout, shower, change into my bathing suit, and then go outside to discover that the outdoor spa/hot tub is not working. It's a VERY nice facility, and I'd say I'm generally happy with the cleanliness! But there is too much wrong with this gym, and I don't really njoy using it as much as I initially did. The inescapable pumping loud music is really the dealbreaker. Makes me sad! read more

I immediately started Pilates classes. I had no Pilates background but was willing to give it a try. It has changed my body like no other type of exercise. It is worth the membership. I take classes with Arissa and I am so happy to have met her. She is a very kind, caring and thoughtful person. She is also professional and I can tell that she is dedicated and passionate about Pilates. I have introduced several friends to Pilates and they ended up joining because of their experience with Arissa and how pilates is taught. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Arissa and this gym and the classes. All the members are respectful and caring. The instructors are professional and go out of their way to please everyone. Gym is great but some of the staff seem to think this is an elementary school rather than a "country club" as they advertise it to be. They talk down to members as if we owed them something. All starting with that very young "front desk manager" who thinks we need to beg and plead for his assistance. I lost a set of AirPod and for a whole month they told me they had nothing in the lost in found untill one day I said. "I know I lost it here how can you tell me that without checking" and immediately decided to "check again" and guess what? The head phones are right there. No apology or anything just turned around and walked away. And then the cycling coach Natasha who replaced Carlos who was an amazing coach. Coach natasha thinks she can yell at you to be quite during her class. Please pull me aside after class if you need to tell me something. This isn't a school guys we pay a lot of money here and the members deserve the respect they obviously pay for. read more
