Their process when they first get you in is to put you on the massage table and e-stim.They inquire about your trouble spots each time and then the wonderful massage therapists go to work on those areas. After one is loosened up,the Chiropractor comes in and does their adjustments.I like that they don't just crack your neck and back.They work the troubled areas.I was seeing a Physical Therapist for weeks and was not getting better.One visit at Lyn Lake and Dr Ryan and I am feeling like a boss! Someone picked up the phone and said, "Skon Chiropractic," and I said, "Dr. Skon, is that you?" and that person hung up. I called right back, and no one picked up the phone. They have caller ID because he's called me back before if he had a client and missed a call. Not sure what happened, but it left me not wanting to do business here anymore. We found my wife another chiropractor to go to, and she was okay, but had to wait a day because of this fiasco. The neck pain I've always written off as stress since my teenage years? Apparently that's not normal. I learned a lot in my consult, information needing my immediate attention and action. We put together a treatment plan, milestones and goals included, with an understanding that if things haven't improved in 3 months, we'd need a neck MRI. They connected with my insurance to find out what would be covered, and what I can expect to pay. No surprise billing. Toftoy Chiro offered text message appointment scheduling, so I messaged Dr. Jon and he told me I could come in 7:30am the next morning! The appointment was great and he really took his time to explain things; I really liked Dr. Jon and enjoyed the experience. I will definitely go back if the symptoms come back! The reason I gave Toftoy Chiro four out of five stars is because the location is inside a endurance work out facility, which came along with some noise. I was also a bit confused how to go about processing the insurance side of things because usually the providers make copies of the cards and do the billing/processing for the patient, which Dr. Jon didn't do. I realized right away that they were not going to be able to help my pain and ended up going to a medical doctor where I found out that I had a herniated disc in my neck. I'm sure this place is great for wellness care, but if you're in acute pain like I was, this is not the place to go. I gave them two stars because the staff were very nice and helpful, until I didn't want to sign up for a $2000 plan.
