These guys do this for a living and hence, have a knowledge base beyond that of the typical certified instructor. I worked with Thomas who in addition to being a Paramedic is also a Long Island Fireman so, what you get are individuals who are able to fill the gaps with real-life experiences rather than Text-Book responses. This program is ideal to keep your certifications up to date or to become a certified lifeguard. However, if you plan on working as a New York City Lifeguard (Rockaway, Coney Island, Orchard Beach, Staten Island) or Federal - Lifeguard (Jacob Riis Park, Queens; Great Kills Park and Sandy Hook, New Jersey), you may want to check first before taking their classes....to the best of my knowledge, you will be required to take the challenge exam despite already being certified through them. Nevertheless, they are a good organization to get your certification(s) from. Thomas took me to the fire-house to demonstrate proper usage of the O2 Tank, BVM including the use of the EMI Emergency Oral Airway Kit. They were clearly knowledgeable and knowledgeable beyond the typical text-book instructors and I therefore highly recommend this group. read more

My son received his lifeguarding, open water certification as well as an updated CPR course through this business and all I can say is - FANTASTIC. They are knowledgeable, organized and fun! The instructors are patient and kind. Mordiki should have some type of CEO position in this business because he is A#1 in customer service. He is so personable and takes his time to explain things and even helped us arrange a last minute private CPR re certification !! He didn't say , " Sorry, can't help you." He figured out a way to find an instructor to drive from Brooklyn to meet my son at a facility to offer the class within an hour. My 15 year old son took the course recently and struggled initially but with the help of the team he was able to obtain certification.The team was very responsive and very helpful and although the whole team helped out experience with Motti ( hope it's spelt correctly) was especially refreshing. 490 Sunrise Hwy, Rockville Center location: My son recently completed the lifeguard certification and CPR course through "Lifeguard Training NY" which ran for two full days. After the first day, my son seemed overwhelmed receiving/learning all necessary information presented (as all kids learn at different paces). He was quite unsure of himself, and strongly hesitant to continue. I reached out to the director for feedback. He immediately responded to my outreach, provided specific feedback, encouraged my son to continue, and gave him positive reassurance needed to attend the 2nd day. My son DID return the second day, thanks only to the encouragement of the staff, and received his certification!!! . Not only are the instructors knowledgeable , but they are also caring and will work with those who may need a bit more repetition in order to succeed and pass the course.
