He's also helped me with recommendations for products and won't BS you. If he doesn't feel a product is legitimate, he'll tell you. It helps that the shop doesn't seem to carry trash products. I really wanted to like this shop because the barber seemed like a cool guy, but the actual cut and trim were disappointing. He never touched scissors, only used a trimmer for everything, and while the haircut turned out just "okay," the facial hair trim was rough. My beard came out uneven (longer on one side, not straight) and the mustache trim was the worst part -- I asked for it just above the lip, but he buzzed it with a trimmer and shaved into it right under my nose, which completely messed up the natural shape. On top of that, he seemed more focused on joking around with the other barbers than actually paying attention to detail. I ended up having to fix my beard myself at home, but the mustache is basically ruined until it grows back. My coworkers even joked that it looks like I lost a fight with a lawnmower. Cool atmosphere, but I can't recommend it if you're looking for attention to detail or solid beard work. Also kinda ridiculously expensive for what I got, i might as well have gone to great clips of super clips for this instead of spending $80+ for it. Like ridiculously easy. I opted for the 1st available barber. The paired me with Sara. I didn't ask for a particular barber because I didn't know any of them being it was my 1st time there. Ridiculous place, was told that I could not get my haircut because all the barbers were full with appointments. While two of them were sitting on their *** on their phones. Only option I was given was to have my hair cut by a kid who said he was learning how to cut hair. Seemed like a decent enough place and was excited to go since I can literally walk from home.
