Life's Tree Doctor takes advantage of your emotional distress from surviving a natural disaster by straight up lying to your face and not standing on their word. Do not believe them when they say "We bill directly to insurance and you'll probably never hear from us again" because they will most certainly take legal action against you when your insurance doesn't immediately pay them. The crew arrived and worked all day. They ruined my yard and busted and crushed a sewer access line in the process. They told me they would tarp my house. They said they ran out of tarps and asked me to go buy tarps and they would reimburse me and tarp my house. I did just that. I paid nearly $300 in tarps that they never put on my house, and they left for the next job later that day and said they'd come back to tarp it with their bucket truck. They remained in my town for at least a week. I called them multiple times to come tarp my house and they never did. I gave up after they never included it on the write up of the work agreement and I ended up returning the tarps. I didn't hear from the tree company until they explained that they were never paid. I never received a copy of the $31,000 invoice (removal of four trees on a house) until after I had to make multiple phone calls to ask for a copy. My insurance company and Life's Tree Doctor battled it out. Even after I have complied with all of the requests of Life's Tree Doctor, updating them on my insurance situation, and even defending them to my insurance company and locals who thought their invoice was too expensive, one of the owners near about yelled at me on the phone about how my insurance company was going to pay for the complete bill. Granted, I understood that they were aggravated for not being paid but I still thought it was very unprofessional to be almost yelling about taking legal action against me as a "scare tactic" to my insurance. I also brought it to the attention of Life's Tree Doctors about the damage their crane or skid steer caused to my sewer line, and at that point, I was told "I don't have a problem paying for a $900 repair. Send in the pictures and a quote for the repair and I'll send it to the owner and have him call you." I never once spoke to Tony, the owner, about the sewer line damage. I have called and texted them so many times to ask for an update and I just get the runaround. For the record, it isn't just me that they have treated like this. Several people in my town who have used them after Hurricane Helene have expressed similar stories. read more

Tony and his team at Life's Tree Doctor did such an astounding job at our pine riddled home! I called over 5 companies for quotes and his pricing was by far the most competitive. He offered a free estimate which included removing 10+ pines on our property and stump grinding but he went above and beyond by grading the area the trees were removed in and left the site in excellent conditions (especially considering the terrible weather). I was super impressed with how quickly his team managed to rid our property of these dangerous pines and their attention to detail. His responsiveness, diligence and commitment to excellent work means he'll always have my business and look forward to working with him again in future landscaping projects! I signed up for Chip drop paying $20 to whomever made the drop. Got an email Friday that in 48hrs. Lifes tree doctor would make a Drop. Well...48hrs came and went so Monday I sent them an email. The woman said they tried to call but couldnt get thru. ( no,call, checked my log..even snap shot it) she said some one would be out later that day or early next morning. Well, early next morning no drop. Emailed her again asked for my $20 to be refunded. Then...a call from owner Tony. " oh so sorry, driver made a mistake, yada yada yada...i will be out personally in the morning 10am. So sorry and I will refund the $20." Well....its noon. No,call, text, email,or drop. As a business owner you MUST mean what you say and say what you mean. Would NEVER EVER recommend a company who doesn't keep their word. Lesson learned on my part. On June 16, 2020, I hired Life's Tree Doctor LLC to remove a large oak tree from my property at 2147 Cambridge Ave, College Park, GA 30337. During the tree removal process, my driveway was damaged in 2 places. Tony (co-owner of Life's Tree Doctor) hired a person to repair both areas on my driveway, and this work was performed on around the weekend of June 20th, 2020. On both sections of the driveway, the repairs were not completed correctly. On the lower portion of the driveway where most of the damage occurred, the repair person applied a thin cement patch along the crack caused by the tree removal. The patch quickly wore off, and the cement that was applied washed away in subsequent storms between June 20, through about July 3, 2020. Since this repair wasn't done correctly, the driveway was further damaged as the original crack spread, likely due to water seeping through the crack, causing it to expand. The driveway now has 2 additional cracks stemming from the original damage that was caused by the tree removal. The upper portion of the driveway was cracked by a bobcat tractor that was used to haul debris from our yard to their truck. The same person that Tony hired to repair the lower portion of the driveway also attempted to fix the upper portion of the driveway two different times - but the result each time left that section of the driveway with an appearance that the repair wasn't done correctly - as the cement is full of bubbles - caused by rain. The repair person didn't cover the repaired area. As such, the cement was ruined by the rain the same day the last repair attempt was made. I spoke with Tony from Life's Tree Doctor twice after the last repairs were made, and asked him, or someone to come back out and fix the repairs. Tony said he would come out in person on Saturday, July 18th to fix part of the driveway. He never showed up. I was out of town from July 18 to Aug 7, and I spoke to Tony one more time on August 8th, and asked him to file a claim through his insurance company - as being insured, it seemed best to work through his insurance to get the repairs done properly. On that day, Tony informed me he would call his insurance company the next day, Friday, Aug 8. That was the last time I spoke with Tony. On Monday, Sept 28, I emailed Tony an estimate to get my driveway fixed, and he replied back via text and said that "he already sent someone out to fix my driveway" and that he could "never make me happy." His opinion and logic aside, Tony has still venimently denied to either let me work through his insurance company - much less provide me with, or acknowledge that he has insurance. This raises serious questions around his professionalism - and is a red flag in regards if he's truly insured at all. Perhaps this explains why he hired an amateur to "fix" my driveway? Regardless, no one would be happy with repairs that actually look worse than the original damage. Completely unacceptable. If you decide to hire this company, make sure to: 1. Get EVERYTHING in writing. This needs to include dates and dollar amounts. Tony does accept credit cards. However, after my tree was already on the ground, he wanted another 3% tacked on to process the card payment - so I just wrote him a check. 2. Take pictures of your property before and after you have the work done. 3. Don't pay in full until you're absolutely 100% satisfied with the work, or any repairs that were done. I made the mistake of paying in full assuming Tony would finish the repairs, but he's pretty much ghosted me ever since. 4. Last but not least, neither registered address for the business (Herodian Way or Windchime Ct) are correct. (just be careful!) read more

It really disappoints me the way my agreement turned out with the Tony who is the owner of this company. They began cutting my trees with an experienced cutter named Jacob. Everything went well the first day. It rained the next day and the crew began cutting. Jacob did not work that day because it was raining. An unexperienced worker began cutting a very tall popular tree that Jacob had already said that he would climb and cut it in sections. Well, the new cutter just fell the tree across my yard and some of it fell in my neighbors yard across his drive way and breaking limbs on one of his trees. The bob cat tore my yard up terribly and mud was all in the main road of our subdivision and cars were going through this. I called Tony the owner and explained what was going on in hopes that they would come back when the weather was better. They kept working and the mess got worse. At the end there were three tree in the rear side of my house along a fence. This was included in the agreement. Well, they cut two trees and was not going to cut the last pine that was about 8 inches in diameter. I told Tony in the initial agreement that I want those trees cut because they were leaning toward the road and in danger of falling. Well, two trees were cut and Tony told me that they last one was not included. They stopped work to cut one tree on my neighbors side that was only 10 feet from my last tree. They dropped that tree across his lawn and across the road and charged him $650 for 30-45 minutes of work. I continued arguing with Tony and he insisted that the last tree was not included. I said, why would I have just two trees cut and leave the main one that was causing the problem. His answer was, I gave you a good deal. I feel that everything was leading up to get more money from me. I simply told him that I would refuse to pay until he finished the work. He also promised to grind a stump for my neighbor whose tree he messed up. The promise was not kept. I finally got just about everything I wanted but I still have one tree that they did not grind the stump. I am 73 years old and I feel to old to have to argue and worry and feel that I am about to be taken advantage of. My yard is still a mess but I expected some damage etc. Oh yes, Marcos did a great job grinding the stumps. I was pleased with that. I said all this with more to be said. I would not recommend this company to anyone. If you do,make sure that you have the say so on everything because all they are after to get the trees down any way they can.
