My brother-in-law used them in the past and recommended I call to get an estimate to do the front and back yard since my sister's house in East Atlanta was going on the market. Cory met me on time and we reviewed all that needed to be done. It was a lot. Their price was good and we excepted the verbal quote. Unfortunately, 4-6 weeks past before the actual work could be done. It was more my issue that so much time went by (I was dealing with a lot of moving parts getting the house prepped). Once we scheduled the day, I was very dissatisfied when I went to checkout the yard work. There were very important things that were not completed; such as, two little trees were not removed and the mulch was only placed in 1/2 of the yard. The yard looked unbalanced. Also, the very front yard of the house wasn't mulched. I reached out to Cory to go over the list of what wasn't done. He worked with me and came back with his crew and completed the project to my complete satisfaction. I have learned a great deal on this project and hired over 10 subs. Just because you say what your expectations are does not mean all expectations are heard 100%. Everyone has a lot going on. #1. Always get the to-do list in writing. I didn't do this with Cory. I simply excepted the quote. Luckily, Cory was very responsive and stepped it up and completed all yard specs. I would definitely recommend them. I had a couple of very tall leyland cypresses in a tight area of my yard, I was worried it was going to be a difficult job, but these guys made it look like child's play. They were so fast - they had both trees cut down, cleaned up & shredded into mulch in about 2 hours! Corey was incredibly responsive, with Covid it was taking longer than usual to get permits. The entire crew was very nice & they cleaned everything up once they were finished. It was like neither they nor the trees were ever there. During my recent search for a reliable arbor I contacted 3 different tree service companies in the inner-city area. All 3 were certified, insured, and professional. The only thing that set Steve's apart was their quoted price - roughly $100 less than the other 2 companies. I contracted Steve's for large limb trimming and my neighbors used them for tree removal, but they also do landscaping and sod work. Steve's was recommended by several friends, or I might have had reservations about using them, one way or another (price/workmanship/reliability); and I've never been more pleased with any kind of job done on my property. Steve's Tree Service is awesome! A tree fell on our roof and needed to be removed quickly. We called Steve's after hours and they still took our call. They had someone at our house at 8 am the next day to give us a quote, and then they had a crew on site to remove the tree about an hour later. By 10 am they had the tree removed, they trimmed up some other trees branches that were close to the house, and they removed an additional smaller tree at our request for a nominal charge. They were professional, VERY fast, and their price was reasonable! read more

You hear horror stories about Tree Companies. You call, they stand you up. You have a tree on your house, they price gouge...Well, I just completed the task of having my trees worked on. I called Company A and they didn't call back. I called company B and they DID call back and showed up on time o give an estimate. They were also "shocked" that I called other companies. Only fools go with the first tree estimate. Then I called Steve's trees. They were only a couple of minutes late but they called ahead which is perfect! I expected them to be late as it was morning rush hour. Steve didn't come out but one of his employees did. He was courteous and didn't talk down to me because I am a chick. Then he did the BEST thing- he gave me a better price! So he wrote up my estimate and then said he'd call later in the week to schedule. And he called the next day! We scheduled it for the next morning because they want to cluster jobs in certain areas to save on gas (totally acceptable). So today the crew showed up. I was first on the list. They got there earlier than planned and were there at 7am-ish. They limbed my huge oak and took down a pecan. Both were hitting the house in storms. Now there is good space around the house and the trees look GREAT! My oak will be so happy! Want to know how long it took? 2 hours. They picked up every stick in my yard (even the ones that were already there) and used the blower to clean up. Very professional. The guy who gave the estimate, Cory, was also there at the beginning of the job and then at the end he came by to make sure i was happy. I'm very pleased with everything they did. read more

All I can say about Steve's Tree service is "HORRIBLE". I never got the chance to observe their work, because of their crappy communication skills. Now! I called them a little over 3 weeks ago for a estimate of some trees that needed to be topped off and one removed from my great aunts backyard. They scheduled an appointment on Monday morning, however someone just showed up out of nowhere the next morning at 8:30. Mine you I had just gotten off of work and was completely knocked out sleep. When I think Steve was approaching the door, when my aunt woke me up. Okay!!! That was fine.... we went to the back and I showed him what trees I would like to be topped off. He gave me some suggestions and I completely agreed. He said it would be about $400 and he would email me the quote on tomorrow or no later than Monday. Well!!!! I waited tell Tuesday and no one called nor did I receive the email. I called several times to speak with someone about the job. I left a message and still to this day almost a month later no one has called me YET!! To anyone that needs tree service done and you live in the Fulton county, bankhead area don't call this company. read more

These guys were great! They gave us a fair quote to have a large pine tree removed from our front yard. He said they would show up at 7:30am...they were there at 7:15!!! I had never had a tree removed, I thought it would be one or two guys with a chainsaw. He had 12 guys with him, a crane, a huge chipper and 3 trucks. They had the tree down and were driving away in a little over an hour. Everyone on the crew were nice and they left our front yard debris free. read more

Over the last decade I've hired at least four tree cutting companies to remove dead or dieing trees from my property. Not one of these companies provided me with the expertise and peace of mind that Steve's Tree Service did. This job was a tricky one, with a large 100 year old oak towering over my Virginia Highland home, so I had several companies give me estimates. They all agreed the tree was dieing, but he methodology for removal really varied, from manually cutting and lowering limbs and tree truck parts, to using a crane or bucket truck to remove my tree. One of the tree service experts estimated two full days as a removal time. The prices varied as well, as much as $2500. One of the things that really impressed me was Cory's knowledge and confidence in what the job would entail. He was also very responsive to calls and text messages...and he was on the job on the day he promised ....a rarity! His team of workers have been with the company for years and were amazing to watch as they carefully removed this tree. They were finished within 5 1/2 hours from the time the first truck arrived at 7:30 until the last man drove away. A job well done and at a price that didn't leave me feel taken advantage of. Oh and by the way, my neighbors watched on as Cory and his men did their work at my home and as a result he's gotten 2 or 3 more clients. read more

These guys have manners!!! I have met soooooo many rude tree people in my life, and these guys were NOT that. They cut down the branches and then cleaned up Everything. It looked better when they left than when they got there. They ground up an extra pile of sticks I had out for the trash man to take, and then they told me how to save the tree. Obviously, it's in their interest for the trees to die, hahaha. AND I wasn't even who contracted them. It was my neighbor who paid to have branches over my yard cut down. I had a dead cherry tree in my backyard in a terrible location where if/when it fell, would take out a fence, shed, neighbors shed and basically wreak havoc. They made their appointment on time, came in with a reasonable quote, and handled all of the issues with the arborist (live in the city). I also had them quote cleaning up a huge oak tree that covers over my house. Once the arborist approved, they called and scheduled the time to bring down the tree. A small army of workers showed up, felled the tree in the matter of minutes, trimmed up the oak (nicely I might add, it still looked great), and even went through several other trees and removed dead/hazardous branches for me. They cleaned up everything as if no tree had ever been there. The whole process may have taken an hour and a half. I was pretty impressed with their service and would recommend them. read more

I had TERRIBLE lack of service from Steve's Tree Service! My neighbors had recommended and I called in April about removing fir trees that had been killed by blight and a volunteer bay tree. Corey came out the next day and gave me an estimate and said it would be a month because the city was behind in issuing tree permits due to the virus. Not sure how it compared with others in price because based on neighbors and Yelp reviews it is the only quote I got. A neighbor had also gotten an estimate at the same time. After hearing nothing for 2 months I called Corey 3 times in July and finally got him to answer. He said he would call me back the next day with a schedule. No call and 2 months later I have left several texts and messages. Mine was not an emergency situation and all I wanted was an update. I give up! What an inexcusable lack of service even during COVID-19 times!! I will start over with some of your recommendations and pass along to my neighbor who has also not heard from Corey either. read more

Had someone (Corey?) come to my house for an estimate, the job was supposed to be completed on 5/19/16 as it was written on my estimate. That day (5/19) at 12:30pm I had not heard from anyone. Called and spoke to Wanda, she apologized and said they were backed up due to bad weather. She said I would receive a call that day. Never received a call. A few days later I called back and spoke to Wanda, she said "so sorry, "they" should have called, I will have them (Corey?) call you today"....never received a call. The job still has not been completed, and no one from Steve's Trees has even attempted to call me back. Who runs a business like that? read more

These guys are the best. We were referred by our realtor, for an oak with some dead limbs right after we bought our first house. They gave us the most reasonable quote with no gimmicks and I scheduled our appointment. They arrived in their window with a big truck and a crew, finished the job in under an hour, and left our home cleaner than they found it! They blew all the leaves off our roof, the driveway, and the deck. The tree looks GREAT and they even took off an extra limb without raising the price. I was woken up this morning, along with the entire neighborhood of Laurel Ridge at 7:30 AM on a work AND school day, by the horrifying sounds of trees in a wood chipper and chainsaws. The entire neighborhood came out to show that this was clearly too early to be out but no one even gave us a second look. So we tried to call the main office to see what could be done about this but when we called it said that they were not open yet because it's too early. So let me get this straight, It's too early for the main office to be open but you have a crew out here far before, waking my young child up over an hour before she has to be up for school?
