Wonderful natural store. My new friend introduced me to this cool spot and we had a nice stroll wandering around exploring the aisles. Everything seemed well organized, thoughtful designs & decor and welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorite things traveling away from home is discovering new unique items or spins on things I'm used to seeing closer to home at natural stores/co ops I'm used to seeing. Not only does this store have high-quality products and friendly staff, but it's one of the few grocery stores in town that is actually enforcing masking requirements. Whenever I've visited, every single shopper is masked - properly! It's the only grocery store that I'll take my baby girl. I know these requirements are tough to enforce, and so many places have just given up. This once small little Natural Foods store has grown up, and grown up beautifully. I stopped in here to pick up bagels and lox on a Sunday morning and was surprised to find their remodel almost done. Having recently acquired the space that had been a party supply store for many years they have been able to expand their store to include more items, expanded produce and meat sections, as well as a dedicated herbal medicine section that is more than a short row. Best prices on many organic items, even compared to Fred Meyer, Safeway, winco, etc. Some items, like organic bananas, are cheaper at Fred Meyer (30 cents / lb less), but overall it's well priced. Good selection of organic chocolate and other naughty snack food. Hot food is good, a little expensive (pizza $4.25/slice, should be $2.25-3.25), but in a pinch it's nice to eat something that's ready now. Discount rack is hit and miss, but sometimes good steals pop up. This store has introduced me to many new products and I appreciate their helpful staff. read more

This is my favorite grocery store despite how premium it is. I like to go over after work because its close by, it's convenient and they have produce and other food items you can't find at other stores. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I've been coming in for 22 years. Years ago, the corporate culture was described by another reviewer as "pretentious hippy", and I was spoken to by older women in a voice tone I won't countenance, but that hasn't happened for a long time. The recent expansion was executed faultlessly, and as I've become a vegan and an acolyte of Dr. Greger, I've come in more often. In asking for arcane supplements the staff have always instantly steered me directly to the correct section. The employees always generally seem in a good mood and are friendly and there's a decent selection of products. The hot bar and premade food is disappointing. They used to have more vegan options and they used to make food upon request. What's left is an awful crusted gf pizza that makes me sad (I don't remember if it was always awful but I feel like they had regular crust at one point) and a vegan sandwich that sells out in minutes (very good if you can catch it). Oh and vegan nuggets that for some reason they put non-vegan sauce in the packaging with it? Used to be a vegan sauce with it.. Everyone would eat vegan options but current selections excludes vegan patronage. Not to mention that prices seem to keep climbing. It's a shame. Pretty good. The hot foods bar is mostly vegetarian with some meat options (usually chicken) and a good number of vegan choices. I thought everything tasted okay but it was all so oily. My husband I got a little of everything and even he felt it was oily, describing each dish, even the salads as oily as marinated olives. The prices were reasonable. The store itself has a lot of variety but not of variety of brands. You will probably find the thing you're looking for but maybe not your preferred brand. I am a big fan of LifeSource Natural Foods and love to hang out on the patio during the warm sunny days of summer. However today my mission was to eat a healthy dinner and was in the "Grab N Go" mode. My GNG selection was the Beet & Feta, Quinoa and the Oregon Kale Salad - Organic locally sourced produce that is super nutritious and heart healthy. Super Quick checkout service and friendly staff. Best store in town. The deli food is always awesome (especially love the breakfast options) and their product selection is vast. They have a solid supplement section with very helpful & knowledgeable staff, a big bulk section with almost everything you could think of, unique household/clothing items, natural face/body care products, so many yummy food items that are within several different diets.. My only concern is regarding some staff in the health section. A friend purchased a bottle of colloidal silver with a TAMPER-EVIDENT SEAL. I opened it for her & when I screwed the lid back on, there was NO EVIDENCE that it had been opened. None. We took it back & tried to explain why she wanted a different bottle, but this "expert" had no concept as to why she needed to return it. He told her he thought it would be fine. I tried explaining to him the purpose of a tamper-evident seal, but it was lost to him. He did exchange the bottle for her & was polite, as everyone at Life Source is, but it was concerning that he couldn't grasp something as basic as the purpose of a tamper-evident seal. The people have always been so kind here, they stock a lot of things that are hard to find if you have a lot restrictions in your diet or are looking to keep your food clean. They buy much of their produce from local farms, and I believe most of not all is organic. Their prices are definitely higher than any other grocers in the area, but they are certainly putting more effort in to being a stand up business, and if you can afford it I think there is a good reason to support what they're doing. read more

I love the smell when I walk in here, and it makes me hungry every time. I usually grab a thing or 2 from the deli. Last time I got fresh squeezed pineapple mint juice and it was delicious. Also got a pizza for my kid and that, too, was superb. Can't walk by the beer and wine selection without grabbing something. Sometimes I run into Travis who I may have known a long time ago. The only downsides are that every time I go in, I get weird looks from other customers. Sometimes they ask why I'm shopping there, which makes me uncomfortable because it's like they know I work at the competition (weird!) Also, the cashiers never accept my Natural Grocers employee discount card which is just rude and discriminatory (lolz) . The customer service here is above and beyond excellent. The employees are knowledgeable about products. The selection is great. I'm pretty sure all of their produce is organic and mostly local. Only downfall is pricing - it's easy to spend $100+ dollars on a bag of groceries. But I do understand that the source local and organic products to provide for customers and they're also a small business so they likely need pricing to be where it is at. You can sign up for emails to be informed about "secret sales" which happen every Wednesday. They also offer 10 cents off your purchase when you bring your own bag. read more
