I really like this Roths. It super clean, well organized and produce doesn't look rotten like Fred Meyers produce. Prices are a bit on the high side, but I go straight to the meat section anyway. Ordered graduation flowers for our granddaughter online. Felt really good about it. Misinformation had them contact us. All good. Flowers get delivered. Then the picture comes. Although they are similar not what we expected. Contacted the store spoke with manager. She advised they have " double the roses, & they substitute when not available. We ordered purple roses with lavender and got pink & some purple something. I don't think it's lavender Edit....... This was $68 just received message they refunded. So I was craving a Reuben and since I live nearby I figured why not give it a shot. Made my order at the touch screen did my shopping and paid and it was waiting for me. Came home and it was. Ice and warm. Bread was good. I paid for double meat which was a 3 dollar charge. I'm concerned if I hadn't than this sandwich would just be horrible. Also there was barely and sauerkraut on it if any. Honestly I was not impressed with this sandwich it left me craving a real Reuben. Don't get me wrong it wasn't horrible and tasted good. But when I think of a Reuben, this is not it. I'll try it one more time and maybe let them know. Go check it out. read more

Just went in to buy alcohol with my present id and refuse me service because someone walked in behind me and thought they were wirh me, after I brought over a manager and explained I was by myself they still refused and was very disrespectful to me the manger named amanda kept hanging up on me when I asked why I was refused and asked for the hire up manager and got hung up on multiple times. And yk it's really not a big deal as i understand why they are doing this but I came alone again like I said and wont tolerate the disrespect from a stranger. Gourmet market with great deli and other food stations around the store. Had the Ruben sando and a sushi tray this time. Both were generous and not too high a price. Service is courteous and quick. I also found the other grocery items I was shopping for. So all and all a successful trip with delicious results. read more

I love the Roth's grocery store chains. I do know they were sold so I hope the new owners keep the same great selection and local products. Roths is not the cheapest store n town, but they do often have products I cannot find at other stores as well as the great seafood, wind and cheese department. Friendly helpful staff. read more

I'm rating this place on 1) doughnuts, and 2) sushi. The doughnuts here are great. Fresh and reasonably priced. I've always been happy with what I've gotten from their bakery, and in my opinion, they're way better than other chain grocery stores. I also recommend their sushi. It's maybe a 4/5 but it gets a 5/5 from me when factoring in price and convenience. It has saved us from doing more expensive dinner delivery as couple of times; easy to grab and go and have something ready for dinner. Their deli food is all really good too. I do think the hot items would be better priced per item rather than all one price. We like to get jojos but when you pay per pound for the hot item price they're expensive so we don't get them often. read more

Since we moved to this area, this has been our go to place! Even though the prices are a bit higher, they have great donuts and deli! The staff are friendly and it is never so busy that you have to wait in line. We have discovered their fried chicken which is pretty good. The service and ambiance are outstanding; however, today I stopped in to get strawberries. Every container had many moldy strawberries. I asked the night manager to look at the boxes and he couldn't find any without mold. $8.99 for the box! In the past I bought fresh corn that was packaged. I got home and opened it and the corn had soured. I took it back. Another time I bought 2 fresh dungeoness crabs and they were bad. Again, a trip back to the store! Tonight I wanted to pick up some deli fried chicken legs. All they had were over-fried breasts and wings. When I asked about the legs, the clerk said they are popular and sell out. It was 5:30! This has happened three times. This was the Roth's on Liberty Rd . It seems that more should be done to prevent things like this from happening. Roths has pretty much lost their Family Market reputation. Their prices have become out of control since being bought by that Canadian company. I stopped in for a couple of things. Milk..over $5 dollars a gallon. Reese potato salad was marked at 12.00 and almost $5 for a pkg of hamburger buns. Oh...forgot the chicken priced at 12.00 for 8 pieces. Won't make the mistake of stopping at Roths for anything again. read more

I give 2 stars because the produce department doesn't know about produce and specifically about oranges, mixing navel with Valencia is not cool , it's two different types one has seeds (Valencia) and they are for juice than navel is more for eating and like the name says they have a navel, so advertising navel and getting Valencia is not right,starting from the produce department manager to the produce person who sets the display needs to learn the basics of produce, two different types the look similar but they are different . read more

I sometimes go to Roth's because it's not far from my home. They have a fairly good selection, and the employees are generally pretty friendly. But I cannot get over the fact that for many items they charge $2-$3 more than other stores. If I were to have bought the three items I wanted the last time I would have paid almost $9 more than I would have at other stores within a short drive away. read more

This place is in the high end of the price. It's expensive, but the produce is fresh. Even the Doritos seem a little crisper. The deli department is great the hot case is always full and the salads are always over flowing. They even have a salad bar that is fully stocked. The food is delicious, but a bit over priced. The meat department has a great meat selection, but once again the price isn't for those on a budget. This place is great for those quick dinner emergencies, but I would avoid doing all your shopping there. read more

I went in this morning super early to get some last minute things for my thanksgiving dinner and the cashier was soo sweet and polite. I can't exactly remember his name I think it was Francisco. I came in in a little bit of a bad mood( ruined some dishes) and I left smiling and happy he is a great young man. He made me feel like I was there every day and like I was important. Their cooked chicken is always dry, dry, dry and they are using some new kind of chocolate on their donuts that is just nasty. Won't be buying either again. With such high prices you would think they could offer better. read more

Where I moved from, we had a store that was like Roths, but better (Nugget Stores). This is the Roth's down the street from where I live. Generally I find all Roth's stores clean, including this one. The hard part about this and other Roth's is the clutter up front by the registers. It's so hard to get through to the line. Same with the wine section. You can barely get your cart through. I've also noticed that the food in the display case in the deli doesn't always look the freshest. Tonight I took home a rotisserie chicken to make a salad for dinner. It was okay. I can tell it had been sitting there for quite some time. The folks here are pretty friendly, as with the other stores. I think the selection could be a little larger. They do seem to take care of their veggie section pretty well though. I shop here for convenience, but to be honest, if there was a Whole Earth or Trader Joe's nearby, I would rarely go here...mostly out of favoritism, and not due to bad service or food. That's all I got to say about that. read more

As i was waiting to pay for my doughnuts and my horribly made coffee i was looking at the cereals and a female member of loss prevention rudely bumped into me. (Im assuming it was not accidental as it was not followed by an apology) Regardless of the fact that i was upset by the lack of respect being shown to me I responsibly proceeded to pay for my items at which time I was again disrespected when the cashier overcharged me by almost 4$. It was at this time I again was disrespected by a worker who was claiming to be the manager. I asked kindly if i could use the restroom as I sat my coffee down to put my change away and the "manager" informed me that I could not use the restroom. In complete disbelief and utter disgust of the uncompassionate behaviors being shown to me I grabbed my coffee and headed towards the door. It was then that the "manager" tried saying that I was stealing my coffee that I had already paid for and in fact informed me that I was being asked to never return. I think that the entire staff needs to learn customer service skills and to have compassion and be taught what respect is. If nothing else to at least act human in public because truth be told some animals belong in a cage. read more

Always a pleasant experience and the staff are always friendly. My kids love their donuts but they tend to run out fast so if you're not quick then sometimes you don't get any. Overall the store is great, everything is easy to find, and the store is always clean. The vegetables are always fresh and the register clerks will make sure you get the best price if something is even a little off. read more

Looks like a newer store, everything is well laid out, very clean. Selection doesn't seem as large as either the West Salem (which I would consider the Flagship store) or South Salem stores, but decent. Wish they had a bigger selection of meats and cheeses in the deli, as well as higher end cuts of meat in the butcher case, seems like the basics only. Probably good market analysis for what they stock based on the neighborhood. Always seems like the whole bean coffee selection has been sitting in the bins for ages though, looks dull and dried out, no sheen of any of the oils from the beans at all. Store is right on my way home from work so tend to pop in here frequently. Probably more like 3 and 1/2 stars, does the trick for getting necessities, still have to trek to one of the other Roth's for anything more higher end though. read more

It's a great store, but I feel like they could charge a little less. It's a little expensive for a grocery store, so I normally don't go here. I am glad they work hard to make it look nice and have an upscale feel but I guess I would just like it to be a bit cheaper for me to go regularly. Nice store other than that. read more

Was in town for Mom's Bday and heard they had a Chocolate Mint cake from the bakery.... ordered for day after Thanksgiving, ready as promised and very decadent and delicious.... Big hit! And decorated with beautiful huge Sunflower as requested. Definitely Recommend Bakery! read more

first time here over the weekend...as I usually frequent Vista. this location has a HUGE/MASSIVE produce section...with a small little bakery to the side. why not 5 stars? this place is DARK. they need lights in there! i swear, I could barely see through the east end of the store. overall, pretty easy to navigate and find items, unlike one's first time thru the Sunnyslope Roths, where items are never where they should be. I would go here again. And it's worth the extra drive if you had to choose between this Roths and the skanky/small/icky Lancaster one! read more
