I believe that Lifespan has become Brown Health Urgent Care. Fwiw, I have been here twice. Both times, next to no wait & problems solved on-site. This second time prompted me to write a positive review for two reasons. 1-had two visits for health issue with 10 previous days, but was let go as being fine. But reality was that I was in fact far from fine. The nurse practitioner was the one to figure this out . I would guess because she listened and figured that additional testing was required. I had already had ekg before this visit, but she decided to do X-ray too. She still wanted more information so then got blood tests. End result was that the two last tests showed I have s serious problem. So now we can move forward with healing and not prolong the misery. Was given prescription for first step, and will follow advice and make subsequent appointments til it's resolved. So glad I bit the bullet and came here as I hate going to medical appointments. 2- I can't tell you what a massive relief it was to be able to get all these tests done on-site and get results right away. So much better than trying to get seen at separate facilities and waste more time driving and in waiting to be seen. Important note: everyone from front desk + technicians are very professional, so competent and kind. It's a very comfortable environment. Kudos to NPs I've seen here-smartest people who actually listen, test, and make sure you understand what is going on. Patience is a virtue indeed-so important when you're sick &exhausted. Finally I have to repeat what a relief it was to go to such a well-equipped operation. For those who care about appearances, yes it all looks brand new, clean and well designed. I had a great experience at this urgent care... I had an issue that required X-rays. Everyone from the intake receptionist to the X-ray tech to the Nurse practitioner were friendly, attentive and professional. I am blessed to have such a great facility close to my house. My daughter had an abyss on her finger and she was charged over $500 for urgent care visit. She has insurance and she should only pay her copay. They are treating her like a ping pong ball. She calls billing, they tell her she needs to go to the urgent care for them to fix the bill. She goes there, and they tell her to call billing. No one is taking responsibility or accountability for miscoding this visit. Good luck getting the money. The BBB will be notified. read more

I went here tonight after discovering a tick bite. I know several people here in RI over past years who have contacted Lyme disease and I am super paranoid about this disease. If you take doxycycline within 72 hrs of a bite - it greatly lessens your chances. So, off I went in a crazy thunderstorm during a Friday evening commuter rush to this location in Warwick because none of the Urgent Cares closer to me were still open or had availability at 6 pm. Anyway, glad they were open - and they were pretty efficient and quick at getting my appointment underway. The nurse practitioner was friendly and knowledgeable. She said I should take the prophylactic antibiotic and great news: they had it right there in stock to give me. Next thing I know - a medical assistant shows up with the pills in a cup with some water. I have a sensitive stomach, gerd, etc. and try not to take meds on an empty stomach. At this point - it had been several hours since I had any food. She offered me some crackers- but I'm gluten intolerant. Now it's going on 7 pm - I thought they were just going to give me the pills in a container and send me on my way. This is where I got very upset. They said I either had to ingest the pills there before I left or have them call it into my pharmacy for pick up. WHat difference does it make if they're giving the pills to a grown responsible man to take an hour later with food in the comfort of my home? It wasn't that urgent Iife or death I take it that very moment! I was so stressed out - now I have to decide between swallowing these things down and hoping it doesn't upset my stomach or dealing with wait times and another trip out on a stormy night to CVS! I finally just said give me the damn pills and swallowed them down in front of her and was so exasperated that the water I drank went into my airways and made me start coughing violently. Meanwhile - she just disappears real quick / sliding the glass exam room door shut real quick leaving me to my violent coughing fit. I just wanted to get the heck out of here and get some food - when I slid the exam door open to ask if I was free to leave - other staff members sitting at a kiosk nearby were snickering amongst themselves because they were privy to my interaction with the med tech and my subsequent coughing fit. How unprofessional ! I would rather not visit this clinic again - Lifespan: delivering health WITH care my ass! read more

Walked in over an hour before closing at my doctor's recommendation. The person in front of me was given an appointment. I very clearly needed a quick strep test and they refused to help me and instead said they were done with appointments for the night and turned me away. There was no one else in the waiting room....not sure why they say that they are open until 8 if they actually close at 6:50pm? I left and went to another urgent care who took me in immediately(even though they also closed at 8 and had many more people in the waiting area) and got me the test and prescribed antibiotics I clearly needed. Don't waste your time here- they don't care about helping patients; they care about getting out of work early. Although they are the closet to where I live, I will never go there again and will seek alternate facilities. This staff is better at making excuses rather than helping sick people. read more

I just visited Lifespan Urgent Care on Airport Rd and found the staff to be so kind and compassionate. I came in with severe pain and expected to wait hours due to COVID. I was surprised when they took me right away and found a room for me to rest. While I waited to be be seen, they gave me ice for my pain. I was seen by the very kind PA, Robert Carcone. He patiently explained everything to me and then administered the medication. Within no time I was feeling better. Overall it was a very good experience. The only improvement I would suggest would be the addition of seating in the outer office/hall for those like me who were to ill to stand - I had to lie on the floor. I went in on Tuesday morning they performed a group of test prescribed a couple of med I started taking them on Tuesday and felt worst I called them on Wednesday after never getting up from bed there's response was its normal I never woke orvateb so on Wednesday I called again and told the what was going on there respond was it's normal . Friday I called cvs because I want sure i was taking the Med right because neither cus or life span had directions on how to take the med, I slept all day waking at4;30 called the walk-in and was told it be a nothing $50 cp pay or call my primary care physician at 5:00 in the after noon on a Friday I went thereafter avoiding my calls an was greeted a a police office them telling them I was a harassing them so I called the police back and gave them my side of the story and nothing was done, DONOT USE LIFESPAN on Airport Rd there nothing but lazy people , hope lifespan rakes their name off the building i and going to cancel my appointment with life span and go somewhere else read more

If you have Tricare health insurance, you are better served elsewhere. Though listed as a service provider, they have doctors at this facility who don't accept it. Depending on the day or just the way they feel, they will turn you away without even bothering to ask why you came in. Health care "some" of the time is as good as gambling at the casino, and at the casino, you may have better odds. read more

Visited this office and as a precaution was Rapid and PCR tested - was told "Rapid aren't as accurate so both will be run" now 2 weeks later no results and the office doesn't have record or results of this test. MOST DEFINATELY WAS TESTED BOTH WAYS AS MY NOSE BLED FROM THE PCR AND SIDE OF NOSE WAS SORE FOR DAYS. Also, a test was ordered and was told I could bring it back there - upon arrival was told need to bring it to a lab which aren't open on Sundays.....this office and team is so disorganized and so unprofessional it's very concerning. read more

I was not a patient here. I brought someone here. Run from this place if you can. You are much better off going to Carewell Urgent care on Centerville Rd. The first thing Lifespan does is ask you to sign in at a kiosk. If you haven't been to Lifespan before the minute you laboriously type in your name you will be told there is no record of you and to see the receptionist. They don't offer you hand sanitizer after touching this publucachine in a place full of people with flu. Nice. The receptionist was rude. The directions given us re medication was unclear. read more

i was told they did a test that they didnt do, they rushed me down there i was there in 15 mins and i still waited over an hour and a half to be seen. while waiting they turned away multiple people just because they stopped registration. upon being seen i was given tests that i explicitly told them i didnt need because i had just gotten them done within 6 months. they never told me they werent testing for what i needed to be tested for, and i was given no follow up instructions. they made me uncomfortable and rushed me out because they were closing. they only gave me half of my results and when i called to talk to an np about what i should do, i was told they would call me back. i recieved no call back at all and upon going into the office to speak to someone they told me they couldnt help me. also gave me the same speach about being called back even though i was standing in the waiting room. read more
