I've been to this salon several times and never had issues when choosing solid or fine shimmer colors. However, my experience changed when I selected a coarse glitter polish. After my initial appointment, the polish began peeling almost immediately because it did not cure properly. I returned about two days later to have it fixed, but the same issue happened again. A few days after that, I came back for a third time. At that point, I didn't ask for another fix I asked for a color change because I don't have the time or flexibility to keep returning for repeated corrections. That color change was a direct result of the polish continuing to fail, yet I was charged for it. During a later visit, I brought this up and explained that the third visit was essentially a color correction, not a preference change, and that I only paid at the time because I didn't want to argue. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable just some accountability or adjustment based on the situation. I was told that nothing could be done. The issue was clearly with the polish or application, as I've never experienced this problem before. What's disappointing is not the mistake, but the refusal to take responsibility or value a returning customer. Because of this, I won't be returning. It's ridiculous that they are willing to lose a customer over this & they will take your money so fast but If something goes wrong with your service here, don't expect ownership or resolution. read more

I saw that this place had good reviews. I'm from Seattle and upon going in. I made an appointment for gel X when I went in the technician Tony was putting tips on my nail for acrylic nails. I realize on the fourth nail and let him know that that was not what my appointment was for. I had to wait 20 minutes for my appointment time because he had another client while he was doing my nails [[HIGHLIGHT]]I wanted to switch only two of my nails from pink to white once he put the white on it, I realize that I wanted the pink my nails were not cured at all. All he had to do was wipe them off and just re-paint it. He really frustrated and told me he basically didn't want to do my nails[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] and I didn't get the design I wanted at all and just got regular French... from the beginning when he did the acrylic instead of the gelx and treated me weird and was being awkward to me. The customer service here is great but unfortunately i've had issues with the nail services. Two days after i went and got a gel manicure and pedicure my nails were already chipping. i went back and they fixed them but then another day later they just kept getting worse. after 3 days my toe nail gel polish chipped in the middle and left a blank hole of no polish. very disappointing since the services are not cheap. I went into LifeStyle Nails and Spa because I saw that on their menu they provide acrylic pedicures. I was just a walk in, but I was seated promptly. I mentioned that I wanted a basic pedicure with acrylics and it was immediately a whole ordeal. Not only did I have the man that was doing my pedicure, but I also had 4 people gathered around all starring at my feet. I apologized for having such small toe nails, but that was the reason why I wanted acrylics. The man seemed very nervous as he began applying the acrylic. The 4 people kept circling around giving him pointers. When he finally got the acrylic bead on my toe nail bed, he quickly wiped it off and started again and again. After an hour and a half and only having 3 toes complete, someone else finally took over. I was there for a total of two and a half hours. I was finally done. I went to the check out desk and was told that it was going cost $100. I was so over being there that I just paid it and left. The absolute best part, all of the acrylics popped right off after 9 days. I am soooo particular when it comes to my nails lol especially when we're talking about acrylics. I've literally been getting fresh sets since grade school so that's a little over two decades so let's just say I know what I like and how I like it. Needless to say, I LOVE it here. If I lived in the Phoenix area this would be my go to spot hands down. Booking was super easy, we just called and made it through the phone. Arrived early and they had no problem taking us in right away. Minh and Sonia took the time to pay attention to detail and I was still in and out in less than 2 hours. Everyone here was welcoming and highly professional [for all the people scared of Vietnamese nail salons(; ] Also if you're looking for a specific design or color the team here is super helpful but a picture of what you're looking for would be essential in helping them help you. I write this with heavy fingers as I've never rated a business 1 star. I found them on Yelp and I called ahead since today is a day before the holidays, wasn't sure if it would be closed or packed because last minute appointments, but they were able to take me in at 12. I arrived about 8 minutes late but they didn't have any other customers in at the time, so they started my mani right away. I'm indecisive so making a choice on color is always troublesome for me - but I opted to try for a powder pink with an ombré into a clean almost white... (I showed them a picture) they said they could do it (i asked to confirm because i was happy for a single color - and confidently said yes) so I was looking forward to it. My mistake for not asking what they'd charge me, because it was quite a lot. They started removing my old acrylic right away, as I wanted to go with a dip powder nail this time. I had Justin helping me today, and he was incredibly nice, hummed to the music throughout. There was another gentleman that seemed as though he was the manager or someone who owns the store, as he was more ready to elevate the conversation and also ensure there wasn't anything lost in translation. He also seemed to not only understand what I wanted better, he was able to read when I wasn't completely sold on something - which I think is incredibly useful and helpful when you come to a predominately Asian owned/operated nail place. It's easy for things to get lost in translation. That happened a few times just in chatter with Justin, which is ok, languages are unique and I find it endearing to try and get on the same page. But I know others may not have the patience. I mention it because I had to say a few times I wanted almond short nails, and I left with them longer than I wanted (which I did like) but had the other gentleman been doing them, I think he'd have been more apt to ensure that I was 110% satisfied before I got out of that chair. For as long as it took 2 hours and 15 minutes) and the quality of Justin's work (pointy almond look, some dips and indents in some nails, tough to see but I notice), I'd say it was sub par. Although they look nice, I'd say they are simply "ok", and if I were to return return (which I do not anticipate), I'd try make absolute sure I don't get him as my nail tech again (unfortunately). Because lots of folks are regulars and happy when they come in, great reviews, and that's why I stopped in today. It was busy as I was leaving. I'd also like to make the mention that after Justin finished my right hand (also first time someone does one hand fully before starting the other), I had a bit of buyer's remorse with the pink color I'd selected and told him I didn't like it. I told him I knew he'd worked hard on this (by then it was an hour and 15 in at least) and so before you start the other hand, perhaps we can change it to a more neutral tone. He asked me what I wanted, I pulled up Pinterest and said, "more nude" and yet, he continued on. I think he felt he'd convince me of the "finished" product because he said "not yet", and seemed confident it would be better. That said, they DID look better because after filing down, the attempt at the ombré white look helped the pink get a lot more powder - which is what I was looking for (was almost feeling like it was close to pepto before that) and so - in lieu of not sitting for another 2 hours for him to fix, I opted to go get my pedicure. It wasn't until closer to 2pm and after that folks started coming in. By then (2:20ish) I go sit in chair 5 and request the top pedicure (it includes a paraffin dip, and I definitely need callus removal) - I believe it's the deluxe, and they get started. The chair is fine, I felt like I was leaning back a bit but I was unable to adjust. It did have massage but it was incredibly faint, so that was too bad (keep in mind in general for massage I like deep tissue so perhaps I'm expecting too much from a massage chair). I left at 3:08, exactly 3 hours, $135 after (my manicure was 50, removal of old was $10, length was another 5, ombré was another $10, and I don't know what the other $5 was for) but that's WILDLY overpriced for me NOT to have LOVED them. I won't be coming back. TIP: know what you want, and ASK, and stop them if you don't like it. If you show them a picture and them saying they can won't guarantee they'll look like that (which I do understand, I'm usually easily pleased but for the price today I'm incredibly displeased). I've been getting my nails done on and off for years and have only lived in the valley for about 4 years, without a go to nail salon! Every place I try seems to be so hit or miss. I'm in love!! I've been changing out my acrylics for the last 2 years every 2-3 weeks. I was trying so many different places and couldn't find somewhere I was happy with...Until these guys!! I previously had a bad experience at another salon (NOT THIS SALON THEYRE AMAZING) in which I took a drill to my thumb (not fun at all, especially since it was on the joint). I came here very hesitant and I have no idea why. The attention to detail, while time managing, and never loosing their cool is what drew me in, and you can tell other techs have the same vibe. They all seem like a happy family. My nail techs name is Phi (I think that's how you spell it) and she's currently pregnant, but she's the cutest nicest person!! She has me in and out of her chair within an hour and she doesn't skimp on a single thing. Integrity and pride is what she has in her work. If she misses something, or if the nail isn't filed the EXACT way it's supposed to be, that's no problem... cool as a cucumber she files and continues. Moral: I will continue to come back because I've found my forever place you should call them up and get your nails done too!!
