Two weeks later when it was time for my follow up for my root canal (tooth that had been bothering for weeks) there was a scheduling issue with their staff, they just thru me at the very end of the existing schedule , another 3 weeks out. Don't think I can wait another 3 weeks. I just had my second check up for the year (insurance pays for 2) so now I'll be paying for another one out of my pocket, plus x-rays ..... He cares so much that he gives his personal number to patients when the office is closed and over holidays, in case of dental emergencies. His office staff are also gems. I've known them for years, but they take such effort to learn new patients' names and are truly interested in your needs. They all work very hard to accommodate patients especially when you are in pain or have an emergency situation. Dentistry can be painful and it can often be expensive which is why I value my doctor and his staff. They soften both blows with their helpfulness and warmth. I'll be very sad the day that Dr. Nunnally decides to retire. Until then, I'll appreciate his practice for the rare jewel that it is, a health professional that treats every patient like a neighbor not a number.

I have been going to Dr Hammer for years and first started with him when his practice opened in Radcliff. The entire staff do a wonderful job taking care of patients. Unfortunately they are closed on Wed afternoons and Fridays which can sometimes cause a delay in getting in although he does accommodate emergency dental situations at any time. They accept a lot of major insurance programs. I often joke with Dr Hammer that he is the only painless dentist I have ever been to. If you are looking for a good dentist I recommend either Drs Hammer or Van Zant.

(my hygienist in California was very chatty and it's hard to answer questions with sharp instruments in your mouth). There is a tv on the ceiling so you can watch while you have your cleaning. Courtney caught on fast that the show on the History channel was about mass murderers (not a very calming show) and she switched the channel to ESPN for me. Next Dr Arnold (Bill) came in and introduced himself. He was great. Very down to earth and approachable. We chatted a bit about California and then he began his exam. Again, great exam and he gave me advice about some tooth sensitivity I have been experiencing. There is a very nice restroom with soft touch materials to use on your various parts. They even have disposable teeth brushes with teeth paste for your enjoyment. It is so you can be a decent human being and get your breakfast and lunch out of your face grill prior to getting your cleaning. Just to the left of the main entrance sits a super nice, extra awesome Team Durbin human Logistics specialist and multi-tasking ninja Kim. Kim can literally check you in while she is on the phone with three different insurance companies battling to get the best price while reading one email and writing two others and greeting you all at the same time without skipping a beat.
