This has been the absolute worst experience I've ever had at a dealership; they are very, very dishonest! Bought a 2019 Honda from New Rochelle Toyota. During the test drive, I called out that the heater isn't working great and salesman promises to have it handled before we pick it up. Then report shows there's a recall for the Honda; why wouldn't New Rochelle Toyota not have the recall handled before they even advertise the vehicle? Keep in mind, they acquired the car in May 2025 AND New Rochelle Honda is sister dealership (same owner/parent company). Instead the salesman insinuates that sometimes the fix for recalls isn't available. After picking up the car on June 9th and driving home, I noticed that there's no sound from the radio when using FM. I called the salesman the next morning to report that. The salesman books me an appointment for Saturday June 14th to have radio and heater taken care of. On Friday June 13th, I called him to confirm that we're all good for Saturday June 14th. When I arrive on June 14th at 8:00AM on June 14th the service department gives me the runaround and nothing got done. I am offered another appointment for June 19th, the following week. Based on the above subpar experience, on June 16th I take the car to a Honda dealer near my home to get it looked over. I come to find out that recall fix has been widely available since Jan/Feb of this year. I also find out that the front brakes (pads and rotors) were in need of immediate replacement (down to 2 mm). I immediately contact New Rochelle Toyota and they told me to bring the car back and they will take care of things and they gave me a 9:00AM appointment for June 19th. On June 19th, I arrived at New Rochelle Toyota at 8:45AM and as planned, one of their staff members took the car to New Rochelle Honda (sister dealership). I was in their sitting room the entire day to 4:00PM; come to find out they did not address any of the issues even though I had an appointment on the books from the week prior. They did not even attempt to handle the recall. I was completely disappointed. No one wanted to take ownership and have the situation handled. They then asked me to bring it back on June 20th, without any assurance which items will be addressed. On the evening of 19th (9:00PM) New Rochelle Toyota sales manager leaves me a voicemail that the dealership will only take care of the recall. They disputed/refused to fix the radio, heater, and do the brakes stating that it passed NY inspection on a vehicle I just got from them the week prior. I would never transact with this dealership, even if they were the last dealership on this planet. I also would never recommend them to anyone! All i wanted was fair treatment and they failed to do that.

But new owners and a new name brought a new vibe, a bad vibe. Owner, Gregg Reith, made me feel like he was doing me a favor by fixing my car. Some time ago, I brought my car in and Gregg gave me an estimate. I told him I was good with his price and he said he ordered the parts. Gregg told me to call him "next week" to see if the parts had arrived. When I called, Gregg told me the parts had not come in yet and to call again next week. This happened 4 or 5 times, spanning 4 or 5 more weeks. The car should have been fixed by then! Finally, I told Gregg, "You call me when the parts arrive." For some reason I never understood, Gregg did not think he should call me, the customer. He thought the customer should keep calling and checking. I never heard from Gregg. I don't think he ever ordered the parts. He just wasted my time. It's like the job was not big enough or important enough for his "exclusive" Auto body business, but he was not straight forward or decent enough to tell me. Within that same week of getting my car back, I was nearly smashed by an Amazon truck right by estoy 18 on I95Non my way, coincidentally, to the shop to thank them for their work. The stabilitrak light kept flashing, the car started to choke then it stopped moving although it was on. I left the car with them and a few days later he assured me everything was 10000% A-ok. About 2-3 weeks later, the stabilitrak light starts beeping and flickering again. When I reached out yet again, he assured me it was simply a misfire and all was ok. Upon meeting Chris, I explained to him this is what would happen prior to me taking the car to him and the car had left me stranded with my toddler and I needed to be sure the car wouldn't do that again otherwise I'd take the loss rather then invest the near $11GRAND I paid him- not to mention I also paid for new brakes and it has come to light that he didn't even change my brakes at that, which leaves me to wonder what else he did not fix all though I made sure to have my payment in full to him because of his reassurances. I even sent business his way because of how kind he was. I have called and texted several times over the last few weeks and apparently he has blocked me because it goes straight to voicemail and the bubbles went from blue to green. The stabilitrak light continues to light up, and the car begins to "jerk" among a slew of other things. I share all of this to say, it's a hot Sunday, we were trying to celebrate my daughter's birthday and the stabilitrak light pops up, it says to turn off the AC- which isn't even on, and now I'm on the side of the road in a situation I specifically ask he not place me in by being honest and saying he didn't know if he could fix the car- with my child!!!! Poor service/workmanship and port etiquette in customer service don't even cover what this is. Shame on you Chris for speaking so poorly of other mechanics and shop owners about letting their egos get in the way of quality customer service and honesty when you are EXACTLY like them! Twice I had other (closer) garages do minor work on my Wrangler because it was more convenient and I regretted it. Dedona ultimately ended up correcting their mistakes. Jimmy's work is always clean, he doesn't sell you parts or service you don't need, and he is a 100% straight shooter. Every time I've ever gone in, he's taken the time to test drive the Jeep with me, discuss repairs and upgrades in depth and show me around the shop. Always a ton of cool projects underway downstairs. He treats you like you're family, and an army of repeat customers is a testament to his character, talent and skill.
