Upon seeing me pull up someone approached and responded that they could perform a state inspection and I could wait there while it was being done. Really courteous... About 10 minutes later I was told it was all done, I filled up my gas tank, and went merrily on my way. This is the way car service SHOULD be. Quick and easy. She went back and the mechanic refused to test drive it. The owner was called in and said it wasn't their fault! He got nasty, saying I needed a shrink!? The car was no longer drivable. Suddenly I needed a new or rebuilt transmission. I had to get rid of it. I've never left a bad review for any business, but after denying culpability and losing thousands of dollars for a temporary rental and needing to go get another car, well, there it is.
