Don't let them fool you. I guess I may be the exception to the rule, but my experience with Lifted Trucks has been miserable. It all started, Thursday, February 29, 2024, when my wife and I visited the Lifted Trucks dealership in Huntsville, Alabama. We were there to look at a truck I had seen online and was interested in buying. We were met by a salesman who showed us the truck and we discussed figures and other normal business items. We took a test drive. I told the salesman I had another appointment to get to and that I planned to return that afternoon or Friday March 1, 2024, to test drive the vehicle again. That afternoon I had phone conversations with the sales manager regarding the purchase of the truck. He indicated the price he had to have for the vehicle and, after taking everything into consideration, I decided to buy the truck. I agreed to be at the dealership on Friday morning at 8:00 a.m. to do the paperwork on the vehicle. On Friday, March1, 2024, I returned to the dealership to finalize the paperwork and pay for the truck. My father had driven me to the dealership and decided to stay and take a ride in the truck. We were told the Finance/Paperwork manager was not in yet but "would be there soon." We met the salesman who facilitated another test drive. During the test drive the vehicle had a brake sensor sounding every time the brakes were pushed. We had noticed that the brake fluid was in the "add to" portion of the reservoir, so we were not overly concerned that the alarm sounding was a big deal. Upon returning to the dealership from the test drive, we discovered that the finance/paperwork manager was not available, but we were told he was expected at any minute. The dealership agreed to our request to have the brake system checked out and they took the vehicle to a repair garage. Meanwhile, the paperwork manager still had not appeared. For the next four hours we were left to wait, hoping the paperwork would be completed. No such luck. We waited. Then we waited longer. Sometime near 2:30 p.m., the paperwork manager arrived. We still waited. Finally, we were called to do the paperwork. After paying for the vehicle, we were given a single key for the truck by the salesman. To top it off there wasn't even a remote fob for the vehicle. I looked at him and asked him where the rest of the keys and fobs were. He said that's all he had. I reminded him that the day before I asked about the spare key and fobs, and he had told me that they were in the office. Now this may have been an honest mistake, and the salesman assumed that there were an additional key and remote fobs in the office, but this truck is equipped with remote start and several other features that require a remote. Noone in their right mind would purchase a truck like this with no remote fobs and a single key. The salesman just looked at me like a deer in the headlights and shrugged his shoulders. It was then a more senior salesman came over and said Lifted Trucks would at least provide a single remote fob. They told me they would get a fob from the Chevrolet dealer and get it programmed. We departed the dealership around 4:30 with high hopes of finishing the deal with the arrival of a programmed remote fob. Little did I know what else would happen. Fast-forward to Saturday morning. I received a call from Lifted Trucks and was informed that they have a key fob and that they would program it. Great, I thought. I drove thirty minutes to the dealership, where I spent another 30 minutes waiting. Turns out, they can't program the fob, I was then told I needed to take my newly purchased truck to the chevy dealership. According to Lifted Trucks, they are open on Saturdays and will program the remote fob. I drove to the Chevrolet dealer where I wasted another hour waiting on the service manager to tell me that I didn't buy my truck from them and didn't have an appointment, therefore, they would not program the remote. He did tell me if I made an appointment, it would cost $200 to program the remote. Another two hours wasted at the chevy dealership. I called back LIFTED TRUCKS and let them know what was said. The senior salesman/manager said "Hey man, we just want to make you happy. We will pay to get it programmed." I told him that while I appreciated the words, there were no actions other than me running around and that the situation needed to be taken care of because I was now becoming upset with all the running around. He said he would get a mobile locksmith that could come to me to program the remote. Once again, I thought Great. Fast-forward to Sunday. I get my dealership paperwork out of my envelope to make sure I have everything to get my tag and lo and behold I have the wrong Certificate of Title application. I am sitting there looking at a complete stranger's title application with all his personal information and vehicle information. This is probably the moment I started regretting the whole deal. read more
