There's no where I know of quite the TLC. They have an amazing array of superfood goodness, a selection that trumps everything else out there. What's more impressive is the quality; everything they carry is the highest quality version of it, fresh, consciously sourced, and amazing! Add to this the wonderful vibe the staff bring and this place is primed to be a trend-setter. The only downside is price. It's not cheap, but part of that is because the items they carry tend to be pricey wherever you get them. The nice thing about TLC is you always get what you pay for; these are the freshest and most amazing ingreds you'll find anywhere. Oh, and don't even get me started on the in-house creations! A variety of raw chocolate, delicious elixiers, and so many healthy and tasty ferments; this place is treat central! Just go there. If it's up your alley, you'll love it!

I'm in love with the elixir bar where you can get super healthy hot and cold drinks hand prepared right in front of you.

There is a reasonable selection of produce and a good selection of prepared food, such a fresh baked bread, meals-to-go and even a restaurant on site for a quick bite. I needed something nice for Christmas Eve and ended up with two options. The tourtiere was authentic and fresh. The crust was flaky, with a lovely brown wash and the filling was delicately seasoned - YUM! I also picked up a ham dinner to-go and it was alright but overpriced at ~$30 each, which I felt to be steep for something like that. Upon asking, they substituted my dessert, which was appreciated. It included a citrus salad with pomegranate (okay but not great), squash soup which was creamy and my stomach can't tolerate, three slices of ham, undercooked broccolini and carrot, as well as mashed potatoes each. So, I guess it could be considered 'four course' and hence the price, but their other Friday grab-and-go packs are more reasonable and I'd recommend a pass on the holiday meals. I won't be doing it again. Every staff member that I encountered was friendly and helpful, although they seemed a bit overwhelmed for the holidays. Regardless, it was well stocked & clean. I was able to pick up some other needed items as well.

It is really very sad that low quality overcooked goods have become acceptable to sell to sell to your consumers and safeway does not care we got your money store manager is getting paid director of operations gets paid they do not care one little bit as soon as i get the list of locations i will post it on here the ones were this is an acceptable practice. you would think with a location right on the transcanada highway that quality would be better it is after all representing sobeys and safeway. your better off going to coop or save on foods they do care about quality that gets put out to it's customers. and the other review in which Rob Goruk thinks everything is ok is horribly wrong i to have had food poisoning from this deli the other offender for allowing this is Roger Broberg | Director of Operations

Something is wrong with their temperature controls. The manager doesn't care and asserts that they have excellent standards. He further states that there is "no way they can tell it is their product that caused me to be sick unless they test what came out of me" (my actual shit). If you truly care about your family, especially infants and the elderly, NEVER by a meat-containing product from this Safeway's Deli section. I am a registered nurse. I know the onset and symptoms of food poisoning. Furthermore, I am on medication that causes chronic constipation (sorry that info... but that is just to illustrate that I would have been much more sick had I not had that chronic problem). As it was, I missed a day's work, and a day's lost wages because my sick days were already exhausted. Because the manager, Rob Goruc, believes there are excellent safety standards, and that "no one has complained of food poisoning in the 9 months I have worked here", I don't believe any action will be taken to address what is clearly flaw somewhere in their food handling process. Beware. And please complain about Rob Goruc if he doen't respond to your concerns either. I have sent complaints to Safeway head office, and Maple Leaf customer service about this store. I have never had issues with Safeway Deli sections at other Safeway stores.

They don't carry my favorite brands though. After a while of me searching around, a woman asked me if I needed help and I told her what I was looking for. I was saying it wrong, so she just stared at me. So I spelt it and the light came on. She pointed at the fridges and said it was in there. Sure enough it was and they had two different strengths. It cost me $6 for 400 grams. They have a small selection of whole foods and bulk foods. They also carry homeopathic remedies. The store isn't a joy to shop in, as it's rather stark and cold, but it does carry many different foods and supplements that are hard to find elsewhere. I found their prices to be reasonable, so I picked up some organic fresh dried thyme and garlic sea salt for my future culinary adventures.
