Some stores had a booth in front of their brick and mortar. I appreciated the live music and was able to find a comfy area to sit and enjoy. One of the highlights was the small circus-style show featuring bikes and motorcycles, which was entertaining and added a unique touch. The acrobat portion was fairly short and ended up being my least favorite part of the event. The lighting and visual effects were absolutely amazing. There seemed to be a blend of Alice in Wonderland and The Wizard of Oz themes throughout the experience. While the visuals were beautiful, I think it would have been even better if they had fully committed to one theme rather than mixing elements together. My favorite part was exploring the many small rooms scattered throughout the venue. Each room was decorated differently, and it was a lot of fun discovering all the creative details and designs. I do hope that future versions stay more consistent with the chosen theme instead of sprinkling in random figurines that don't quite fit. Overall, it was a very enjoyable experience, and I'd happily return next year to see what they create next.

They offer some great deals for local residents as well as on weeknights. We stopped by here the other night after my birthday dinner. It was a little chilly and windy, but there were so many cool things to see and do here. Talk about a plethora of options for photo ops and selfies! The Wizard of Oz theme is cool. There's a couple rooms that don't seem to follow the theme, which helps mix it up a bit. There's also a "circus" which looks like a lot of BMX and dirt bikes. We heard it and saw some of the performance, but it's a very small area of the attraction, so we were more interested in everything else. We ended up staying here almost two hours and they were getting ready to close. This is definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something fun and different to do in the area.

The staff was very nice and the performers were all so talented. The set up this year was a little different and there weren't as many vendors. Also, this year they didn't "allow" purses in (even though the website stated otherwise and there many people with purses and backpacks). Updated communication would've been helpful. Look for parking on the surrounding streets. DO NOT PARK IN THE BUSINESS LOT ACROSS THE STREET, THEY STARTED TOWING CARS! It also gets cold once the sun goes down so plan accordingly. 12/15/2019 The last time there were any light festivals…read more This is one that I have gone to and seen great displays of lights. It's a good comparison with the one I saw at the LA Arboretum. What you want to do is walk around first then come back for the performances. I enjoyed the dragon on the floating water. Different dragons and monsters to ride for photos. I think I would come back here with a group. Definitely a good date event.

Visit and purchased 5.2.26…read more This giant farmers market nestled in such a cute downtown atmosphere here in Claremont. Although it was gloomy and cold, but people here support the market. There are so many things here, exotic teas, lots of veggies and fruits, even this awesome soapmaker who made Calamansi Soap! Wow! I purchased that too! Plus, Olive Oil with Basil, very fancy here, juice stands, salsa and chips fresh made. A bit of soft music, plenty of parking and got one quite fast. Beef jerky and chamoy candy. Pizza ready for baking when you home, too. I prefer shopping locally and lines not long and boring like grocery markets and major chains. Establishing relationships with market vendors is above all else important. Visiting again!!

The area is blocked off with traffic officers directing traffic. lines will be very long , just breathe deep and be patience take in the holiday festive lights . Thoroughbred has become a family tradition for the past 9 years. Especially during their walking…read moredays. As a a dad of two it's even more amazing seeing your children's face when they see all the decorated houses. My biggest recommendation is to come during a week day and avoid rush hours (6-8:30). The traffic does get pretty bad. If possible visit during the walking days, which are typically the first 4 days of December. We've walked and driven through the street with minimal foot/car traffic and it does make looking at the lights even more special. Benefits of walking is that you are able to take your time and admire everyone's work, benefit of driving is staying warm in your car all while playing some Christmas music. It was really cool to see all the retro-themed exhibits this year, from the "Retro Row" magazine cover section to the toys, teenage bedroom decor, video stores, typewriters, TVs, and more!! There were so many great photo op spots :) It was also interesting to see how much technology has changed over time and how some items are either no longer used at all or are used very differently now lol. As always, we spent time walking around and checking out the different outdoor booths, and a few of my friends even ended up winning some raffles! I also enjoyed seeing all the decorated tables and was especially happy to find the one my friend had entered into the competition. The other art exhibits were fun to look at too, and it was interesting trying to interpret the different pieces haha. As for food, I got to try the Watermelon Candy Chamoy, which I really enjoyed and would definitely order again!! I also tried the Loaded Cheese Fries with Bacon Bits. They were good, but more of a "try it once" kind of thing for me. Lastly, I got to try some Fried Frog Legs from a friend, and much to my surprise, I actually liked them and could see myself ordering them myself in the future. Overall, it was another fun and enjoyable day at the fair :)

Shoutout to the Los Angeles Fire Department for their fantastic programs at the fair!…read more My two nieces absolutely LOVED the booth where they got to role play as firefighters putting out a pretend fire. They even received cool biodegradable firefighter helmets which they still play with. They also got to sit in the driver's seat of a firetruck and meet the crew members. There was also a station where they were able to pick up and learn about firefighting equipment. All of the firefighters were very friendly, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. It was the unexpected highlight of the fair for our family. Thank you LAFD for all that you do for our community!
