I went today to register my child in the KinderCare at south Brunswick I also had Called the week prior to make sure someone was aware I would be coming in to register my daughter the following week. After my many conversations they seemed excited for my child to officially join them after having had a week of summer camp experience last year. When I arrived at the facility at 7:00am, I was met by Lauren who greeted me and proceeded to ask, "How can I help you?" I explained to her that I had come to register my daughter. I had a file of papers in my hands, and after I explained why I was there, Lauren abruptly said, "Well, my staff didn't advise me of this and they usually do so..." I was confused. I wasn't sure what came next so I apologized to her for her staff not telling her that I was coming but explained that I had spoken to the director and different staff members on numerous occasions( I had been calling for a while to make sure there was space after I feel in love with the facility last summer when my child was enrolled for a week of camp) to ensure my daughter could indeed be registered, with the director even telling me that my child can start the same day that I register her. I asked to speak to the supervisor or director at that point Lauren said "You're speaking to her" Claiming to be the Director/Supervisor herself. Lauren asked my child's age and when I provided her that information she said "Sorry, we don't have space in that classroom." I asked "When did that change occur?", and began to pack my paperwork and information back in the folder. Which upset Lauren . Lauren was walking towards the phone when I asked her that question and began packing she stopped dead in her tracks and said...... "YOU SEE, I WAS GOING TO HELP YOU, BUT SINCE YOU HAVE AN ATTITUDE I DO NOT FEEL LIKE GOING THE EXTRA MILE FOR YOU" I explained to her that I didn't have an attitude, I explained it was early and I had a lot of running around to do before I went to work. I was baffled, I was embarrassed and mostly I felt so little at that very moment, knowing I had to still drop my other child off to camp, and then drop my little one back at camp. I knew I had to get to work, and had did my part to ensure there was space on the previous working day. Lauren proceeded to cross her arms and say "We will not be accepting your child at this moment, goodbye I'm done here" I (embarrassingly) had tears in my eyes and said, "I'm lost you were just about to 'go the extra mile for me'' I said "What did I do? What do you want me to do? I really need to register my child" Lauren said "Goodbye now" To make matters incredibly worse, I called after I left, maybe partially hanging on to the hope that Lauren would see the error in her ways and make it right. I explained to Lauren once again what the situation was, I explained in detail everything that has happened that lead to now. Lauren sat unreasonably quiet on the phone , when I finished my last sentence she began to talk down to me and repeatedly telling me over and over she wasn't going to help me and my child would NOT be registered, and she wasn't going to do anything about it. I asked "Why? That's not good practice to tell a consumer that you wouldn't go the extra mile for them" Lauren then said, "Why are you cutting me off. I'm done here" and hung up. I learned that Lauren was actually the Program Specialist. I later called and spoke to the site director, Tiffany, whom I have spoken to in the past regarding making sure there was space for my child. Tiffany apologized to me and stated that someone should've taken my information down when I called those many times, to keep me updated. She remembered hearing about my child and I. She explained that they just had an open house on that Friday and it filled up rather quickly, before I came and that if they had my number they would've called but no one took down my info . I've left several messages for Mrs. Anthony who is in the corporate office and am awaiting a call back by next week , which is when she comes back for vacation. A rep called me a couple days ago and again apologized over and over. I honestly just feel discriminated against. I challenge anyone at KinderCare to dispute anything I said . I see how the staff treats children with most respect. They listen to what the children are saying and they respond to the children with full attentive response. My daughter really enjoys coming here everyday. Ms. Stacy always, always ready to greet everyone coming in with her cheerful and happy greetings, Ms. Kelley as well. Ms. Denyce always friendly to the children and always ready asking them how their days are going on and she is always ready with her healthy treats too! Ms. Iris rocks! All the teachers and staff are just amazing!!! The facility is clean and they have tons of educational activities. My daughter's favorite is the ball-pit. TLE has a "make believe" indoor playground. Long Review Alert! I had high expectations from this Daycare…read morewhen i did the tour and read all the great reviews, but I was highly disappointed. We picked this daycare even though it was farther away from our home. To give some background, My daughter was 18 months when we enrolled her in this school. She was in another daycare since she was 7 months and the only reason we had to switch was because we moved to Edison. We loved her previous daycare. 1) At little treasures my daughter took so long to adjust. Every morning she wouldn't want to go there and was so clingy in the evening when she returned home. She was in Penguins classroom. 2) I felt the overall atmosphere in LT was not warm and non-welcoming.We had to drop her at around 7:45am when none of her class teachers were there. So she had to be dropped off in another classroom with another teacher who was least concerned about her. She wouldn't bother to say Hi to us or our daughter or welcome her any way. Some days she would completely ignore us . Drop offs were very unpleasant. When we raised our concern to the director, she said someone was going to take a look.Of course that never happened. I don't know how they do Quality control for such issues. 3) Timings of the regular teachers were such that we could never catch them if we were dropping and picking up outside 9-6pm window. During those hours it was only the part time teachers who had no clue if you ask them any question about your child. It created such a disconnect for us with her class teachers. So only way to communicate was to call them all the time for any major/minor question. Because otherwise we never met them in person. LT could provide better coverage for parents who because of their work schedule don't get to meet the main teachers. 4)A few times when I did a late drop off so i can meet her teachers (and reach my work late as well), I noticed that my daughter didn't wanted to go to her lead teacher who has been with her for couple of months. With Little kids It is very simple to tell who they like and who they don't. I don't think there was any attempt made to bond with my daughter. 5) Daily reports were hand scribbled with very minimum information of what the child ate during meal time. If I can find, I will post a picture of one of the reports. Imagine first we don't get to meet her teachers regularly and the only way we are relying to get some info is via the daily reports which were nearly useless. Once I requested her teacher to write more descriptive report including if she had milk (incase she did not eat food). I was told that for kids of her age (18 months), focus should be more on the food then milk so they never gave us that info. 6) LT is extremely structured that makes the teachers here more concerned about following the schedule and intense curriculum. The last meal/snack time was 3:30pm, and by the time i arrived my daughter would be so hungry and screaming for Milk. Nothing is offered to the child after the last meal because that is not in the schedule. It seems like the teachers are overworked. The type of words that she learned quickly and repeated at home speaks a lot- 'Stop It' 'Go Sit Down' 'Listen to me' 7)Also they would take the kids outside even in cold weather and told us to send appropriate clothing to bundle up or keep the child home if you don't want them to go outside. I don't understand How would the teachers keep the child bundled up who keeps taking off her hat or shoes or mittens even when outside. Overall I feel my child never bonded well with her teachers during the 5 months. Nobody really cared if she didn't come to the school one of the days or it was her last day at the school. Little kids need just a bit more love when they are away from their parents to help them cope emotionally. It was this thing which was really missing at LT. I am not sure about other classrooms or other teachers but our experience with this specific class was not great. The only positive side was state of art facility which is kept very clean and a structured curriculum . I wish I had decided against it so that my daughter wouldn't have gone through another change in 5 months. I wouldn't recommend this center to any of my friends.

Owner Bryan, center heads Danielle and Katie are approachable and accommodating. They go the extra mile for kids and parents alike. They host various events that are well though out (breakfast events, thanksgiving lunch, to-go coffee, open house evenings and parents night out... the list is endless). And their summer camp is just amazing. I wish our son could stay here forever :) I will also add that we moved here from another school in the area that was just positively horrid (happy school). I am sure my son missed the school, and especially his lead teacher Miss Sarah (toddler one class). Miss Sarah is an amazing teacher! I cannot imagine a better first teacher for my son. In addition to taking care of my son, she also put a lot of thoughts to his developments, trying to help him engaging more in various activities, and teaching him a lot of different things. We are so grateful for her. There is a lot of helpful communication and feedback during pick up time, and during the meetings with parents a few times a year. All other teachers are also great. The daily report with pictures and details is also very helpful. We are also very happy with the administration. When we visited for a tour, Ms Danielle was very helpful and friendly which was the main reason we chose Goddard. Ms Danielle is not the director there any more (she now owns another Goddard school) but all other staff are also nice. I would like to recommend the Goddard school Princeton without any reservation.
