Princeton Friends School is a community of learners who work together to create an environment…read morewhere individuals feel supported, welcome, and included, where adults often learn from the students, and all feel engaged in the learning process. As a small school, every member of the community gets to know one another, and mixed-age groupings for events and some classes are the norm. Social and emotional well-being is something the staff take seriously and constantly review and address. PFS believes in the importance of outdoor learning, and often students can be found studying microbiology in a local stream, finding writing inspiration among the trees, and gaining confidence in themselves when working in the garden or exploring the woods. Teachers respect the authenticity and agency of each student, and encourage and empower them accordingly. I have worked at PFS for four years as a teacher and within the administrative team, and my sense is that the teachers who choose to be here do so because they truly care about the other members of the community, and enjoy the daily challenge of helping one another be our best selves. We seek to discover and nurture the joy in learning and in contributing to a community of folks who care for one another. Diverse learners are welcome at PFS and teachers and staff work hard to 'meet them where they are' while encouraging growth and student ownership of their learning. Students who need extra support at PFS are evaluated, and given accommodations in class and supported by a student study team. Families are encouraged to be active partners in the students' learning, and are welcomed regularly on campus for events. Teachers are in regular communication with families through student advisory teams, and there are many opportunities to connect through the Family Association.

I'm writing this to share an honest experience for other families who may not fully understand how…read moreprivate school policies can impact them during difficult times. My children attended this school and were happy there. It was the only school they had known, and they had built relationships, routines, and a sense of stability within that environment. When our family experienced financial hardship due to job loss, we were no longer able to meet the tuition requirements. As a result, our children were asked to leave. I understand that private schools operate as businesses and rely on tuition. However, what was difficult was the lack of flexibility, support, or transition planning for the children. The process felt abrupt, and there was little acknowledgment of the emotional impact on them. For young children, being removed from their school environment is not just a logistical change, it's a significant emotional disruption. That part did not seem to be considered in how the situation was handled. I'm sharing this so other parents are aware: If your financial situation changes, there may be limited options, and the outcome can be immediate. If you are considering this school, I would encourage you to ask detailed questions about: -financial aid policies during unexpected hardship -transition support if a family can no longer afford tuition -how the school supports children emotionally in those situations The education itself may be strong, but families should understand the full picture before committing.

We have been a Chapin family for eleven years…read more My older daughter had attended Chapin since pre-k and graduated last year. She was more than ready to take on the challenges of secondary school. Her freshman year was an academic success! Throughout her years at Chapin, she has grown to be an independent, well-rounded individual. She's not afraid to email teachers about assignments, ask questions when she is uncertain about something discussed during class, or voice her opinion about anything. We owe those positive attributes to Chapin. My younger daughter has also attended Chapin since pre-k. She continues to amaze us with how much she's learned in just a short amount of time. We owe that to the excellent Chapin teachers who not only educate their students but also care about their growth and development. My husband and I are excited for my little one to experience all that Chapin has to offer in the coming years. Chapin is an extraordinary school. The decision to send our children here is one of the best decisions that my husband and I have ever made.

Our son blossomed under her guidance and is a curious, talkative kid now. The location staff and all the other teachers are great. Owner Bryan, center heads Danielle and Katie are approachable and accommodating. They go the extra mile for kids and parents alike. They host various events that are well though out (breakfast events, thanksgiving lunch, to-go coffee, open house evenings and parents night out... the list is endless). And their summer camp is just amazing. I wish our son could stay here forever :) I will also add that we moved here from another school in the area that was just positively horrid (happy school). Everyone at Goddard was very patient with me and my apprehensions. My son adjusted within a day. A DAY! No tears, no complaints. Just a joyful child enjoying school as one should. I cannot rave about this place enough

I am sure my son missed the school, and especially his lead teacher Miss Sarah (toddler one class). Miss Sarah is an amazing teacher! I cannot imagine a better first teacher for my son. In addition to taking care of my son, she also put a lot of thoughts to his developments, trying to help him engaging more in various activities, and teaching him a lot of different things. We are so grateful for her. There is a lot of helpful communication and feedback during pick up time, and during the meetings with parents a few times a year. All other teachers are also great. The daily report with pictures and details is also very helpful. We are also very happy with the administration. When we visited for a tour, Ms Danielle was very helpful and friendly which was the main reason we chose Goddard. Ms Danielle is not the director there any more (she now owns another Goddard school) but all other staff are also nice. I would like to recommend the Goddard school Princeton without any reservation.

They're highly professional, attentive, and loving. We've seen our kids thrive in their care, develop excellent communication and socialization skills, and learn so many new things. Our children love going to CHNS every day. They've made so many new friends, learned a lot of new things, and had a lot of fun. As parents, it's wonderful to see our kids excited to go to school and happy when they come back home. If you have young children and are looking for a fantastic nursery school, we can't recommend Cherry Hill Nursery School enough. The staff is amazing, the play based environment is wonderful and the opportunities to see your child in the classroom is one of a kind!t. We know our children are in good hands, and we wouldn't trust anyone else with their early education!

As someone who was only 18 months old when Covid locked everyone down for a year, we started our daughter in 2021 in the 3's class. CHNS handled all Covid safety protocols gracefully, and school became our 3 year old daughters favorite place, even masked and socially distant. Moving onto this year in the 4's class with a more normal, mask free experience, she flourished even more. The staff is so warm, loving, and nurturing and most have been teaching at CHNS for decades. These teachers are the reason CHNS is such a special place! They truly know how to teach children to foster independence, problem solving, and relationship building at such a young age. Our daughter has made lasting friendships that we know will continue for years to come! One of the best parts of CHNS is the co-op model, which allows the families to not only experience a day in the classroom with their child, but to also get to know their classmates and the other families. This was a great social outlet to meet other local families and especially great if you are new to the area or looking to make other friends with parents of kids the same age as your own. We look forward to being able to return to CHNS in a few years when our youngest is old enough! Highly recommend!!

She learned many different skills- academically, socially and emotionally. The teachers are wonderful to say the least, as they truly care about every child. Each teacher tends to every child individually, in an appropriate academic setting and in a manner that meets the child's emotional and social needs. My daughter grew and blossomed with every day she attended and every year that passed. I truly believe in my heart, that who she is today, stems from the years she attended this school. It is a warm and nurturing environment with the appropriate age required academic structure that parallels with an environment of warmth and kindness. An atmosphere, like the one at this Montessori School, is an intricate, impressionable and most important part of the young years of our child's youth. The time spent as young toddlers mean so much as to who they become growing into adolescents and young adults and Windsor Montessori does an excellent job at preparing our children for an amazing future. Ms. Yasmín has done an astounding job with this school, the curriculum, the teaching of self awareness; including patience and self intrigued academic skills and the necessity of learning how to play and be okay with ones self. I still and will always recommend this Montessori School to anyone I come across with a child in their pre-k years. I couldn't be happier with the decision of having my daughter attend this school. Her years there influenced, formed and created the wonderful, amazing, academically excelling child I have now (as a third grader). So, in turn, I'd like to place a very special, warm-hearted thank you to all of the teachers. And a deeply rooted, heart felt thank you to Ms Yasmín. You have indefinitely made your mark on my daughter still to this day! Always, Sasha L-P
