I am so glad I went to Lighthouse Fitness and completed the 6 week challenge! I was nervous before starting because I was not too familiar with weights and how to use them. I had not worked out much either so those two factors in it self is what drove my nerves however this gym made it a great experience! I love how whichever class I decided to attend, the trainers, Colin, Shelby and Maggy gave each of us their attention and corrected us with the proper form. I never felt left out. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. In trying to cancel my contract, I could only communicate via email and only at received one response per day - around 10:30 at night. They do not honor their side of the contract at all. Lighthouse Fitness is a legal scam. read more

You have to sign this 12 month agreement, if you aren't able to fulfill the entirety of the agreement it's an extra $500 charge. Before signing I had explained to my trainer I wouldn't be able to fulfill the 12 months due to upcoming events (Annual military training, going to California for 1 month to look for a permanent place, & then being on orders again for 2 months for advance training) they charged me $200 per month so why would I want to pay that when I'd be gone for 4 months. I explained this whole situation to the trainer who was signing me up and he ASSURED me I'd Just need to write a letter in order to cancel. Time comes around and NOPE I was also told I needed a 30 day notice by "corporate " which I had basically given 4 months in advance notice and they would not work with me, continued charging me & had the worst costumer service, I asked for a phone number multiple times and it was never given to me. read more

I am very impressed with the organization, class structure, and mix of workouts offered. There is a wide variety of workouts that work every muscle group. The location, just off Sanjon, is great (even though I live in the East End). The gym is super clean and there are options to workout inside or outside. Colin and crew are always there to encourage and help with technique. There are many optional group challenges to help with accountability. If you miss a week, you'll get a phone call, message, and a card mailed to you encouraging you to come back. The groups are very welcoming and there's a wide variety of experience of the members. It's a great group of members. I would encourage everyone to at least try one of the challenges offered on social media. Once you get a taste, and are completely exhausted, you'll be hooked! read more

I been trying to cancel my account since the end of November. I canceled before the billing cycle for the month of December started but I was still billed for December. after confirming it with the lighthouse manager at the very location I became a member. He sent me the information saying that my account was canceled and I owed for Dec and so I paid it. And now I'm being billed again for January. I feel like I'm being held financially hostage for a contract that was void after October (never signed a renewal) I explained the reasons for leaving was only that I was unemployed, but now I would NEVER obtain their services and will warn anyone who tries to do so. This company will not contact me in any way besides an email once a day around 8pm. I have sent multiple emails, talked to the manager by text, attempted to call the number. Desperately need to get my contract cancelled due to an injury and not being able to be in the gym for an unknown amount of time. I have proof and documentation from a doctor. Plus I moved from my home gym and they continually avoid my texts. I hate to leave a bad review but customer service is half of a business and this company has lacked in this department for nearly a week now. read more

I never really understood how weight training could improve my overall fitness. I assumed it was something for burly people. Excited to see results at the end of 6 weeks and reaching my first goal. I love the times they have their classes because it's flexible to my work hours. When I first came in to Lighthouse I told Colin I didn't want to get too bulky. I just wanted to tone up. But then he put me on his Blueprint program and the gainz just won't stop! I don't have a neck any more and I look like I'm carrying around two invisible watermelons under my arms! Lighthouse is great. The cycles are well-thought out, follow logical progressions, and are varied to hit all major body parts within the week. The individual scaling is perfect and provides great feedback on what your abilities are are for a particular movement. There's also a good helping of conditioning each session and some days are all conditioning. Workouts are well-planned and posted in the gym at the beginning of the week so it helps me plan my week with other aspects of my life. The gym is well-equipped and Colin gives personalized, real-time feedback and corrections during the workout to improve form and ensure safety. 7 out of 5 stars. Would workout again! read more

I've experienced MANY CrossFit gyms and pretty much all of them in the area. So, what's so great about Lighthouse? There is no other gym where you can get a personal training experience in a group class atmosphere. When you become a part of Lighthouse, you get your very own "blueprint" which makes scaling non-existent and the pressure to hit the arbitrary 'RX'd' weights and times a thing of the past. Wrap this up in a clean, friendly and fun atmosphere and you have total package. Is it worth it to join Lighthouse? I'd say you can't afford NOT to. read more

Colin does a great job of customizing workouts around injuries/limitations and I was able to continue working out weeks after knee surgery with customized workouts that were scaled back and there was no judgment by anyone! We been members since February and honestly signing up to Lighthouse Fitness was the best decision we made. We had been looking for a trainer but we ended up getting more than that. Before COVID, the trainer was about a month behind in his sessions. He would schedule a session and not show up, but count it as having been a full session. I paid for the first month and the last month in advance, plus I have paid for the month of March without any sessions given. There was no attempt to make up the sessions, say via zoom etc. So I had paid for three months worth of sessions without any training. The gym was closed because of COVID, so they tried to get me to sign a contract with another gym to continue the sessions. Now they sent $1050 to collections which I refused to pay, so they reported me to the collection agencies. So, they take my money, provide no service or follow-up, and then ding my credit report. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and a complaint with the State Attorney General's office of Oregon. The Attorney General's office stated they have a number of complaints on file with Lighthouse. Very very over-the-top happy to be a member at Lighthouse Fitness. Collins knowledge is so expensive and he is very in tune with his members and their individual needs. Because of a couple of injuries I've had, I have been very hesitant to do certain bodybuilding movements, but with Collins coaching and guidance, I have overcome the fears and reach greater potential than I even thought I could. read more

Lighthouse is an excellent gym. The coaching is top notch, they know their stuff and they care about their members. The workouts are great, super fun and varied. The programming cycles are so cool, you know roughly what each week will bring. I love how we all have our own version of the workout so that my ability, strength and experience are all factored in. I don't know of any gym that does that. Most gyms only do Rx'd and scaled version. Most of all, I love the community and its members. They are fun, nice, mellow, non-competive, friendly people whose goal is to stay fit and healthy. If you have an injury or recuperating from an injury, this is the place to workout. read more
