He also said that rooms were reserved when they were definitely not. He ignored our reservations and was completely rude. He claimed that there would be a "really big special discount" HA! If you have a large group that wants to hang out in this house, it's something to consider. *HARD BED...I mean like, sleeping on boards. Both hubby and I woke up sore with our necks in pain. (We were in the wicker room). My parents in the master suite had a nice bed with a huge TV. Overall, the whole family agreed, we don't think Would stay here again. They responded fairly quickly with what seemed like thoughtful support and they offered to "see what they could do." After that, after following up on their offer they stopped responding to all correspondence (text, Vrbo messaging, calls etc). This was over a month ago and myself and my guest have tried to contact them. Very rude and unprofessional to ignore customers.

We were…read moretold we were booking the middle unit, but upon check in, the group before us had received an "upgrade" ( their words) and were given the middle unit and we were placed in the basement unit. This is not a three bedroom unit- two futons, two horribly dates and nasty stained futons do not constitute beds. If you are over 5'6" you will need to crane your neck to fit in the shower. This is a very old basement that someone has attempted to make decent for sleeping quarters. Everyone shares the yard and porch, so if we were to have stayed in the middle unit, i cant imagine a restful sleep there either as the porch is partied on all night. There were 14 people in the top unit, 6 people in the middle and the 5 of us in the basement. The person that owns this property also owns the houses on both sides and it was party central all weekend. If you are bringing your kids, or want relaxation, there are better places to choose than this location. As a lodging owner myself, I just have to add that the bed sucked horribly. Comfort def is not first and foremost.

My husband and I were impressed with the quality and diversity of the regional wines. Dick Ries led our tour and was OUTSTANDING! Informative and engaged and charming! He was knowledgeable across the board and was connected with the staff and operations at each of our stops. We've done lots of wine tastings and tours over the years and I was wondering if I'd learn anything new AND I DID! The packet they provided for the tour was excellent and VERY useful and informative. It was a beautiful day and the wineries were gorgeous and treated us like royalty. It was a treat to be delivered to each location and to just sit back and enjoy the ride. I really can't say enough good things about this thoroughly enjoyable experience! We hope to return to the area to take the Western wineries' tour. Thank you, Rick, for a GREAT afternoon!!

Our townhome had two main floor bedrooms and an upper loft, all with twin beds - so it could sleep 6 in beds and maybe 2 more on couches. There was no double bed for a couple to sleep in, and my 6' husband's feet hung over the edge of all beds. Bedding was not impressive in any fashion, nor were pillows. There were no lamps in the bedrooms, so overhead lights only. 2 bathrooms and a washer dryer were all good. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment, but bring your own coffee because they don't provide ANYTHING. Lovely table and chairs, big comfy couches and a big TV, all good. Lots of taxidermy, which I find troubling but that might just be me. "The Bay's Edge consists of spacious townhomes along the shores of a well-stocked private fishing pond" - again, rather optimistic.... The townhomes sit on a small man-made square pool of water. It's not a pond. It's stocked with fish, and "catch and release" fishing is allowed, so the fish just keep getting hurt and tossed back over and over. Doesn't seem very sport-like to me. There is no way to get into, or on to the water. It's for looks only. There is a very small area of sand and chairs that is trying to look like a beach but is not. Water is chemically treated, and dead fish were at the water's edge. There is a horseshoe pit and a volleyball area, and the outdoor public bathroom was spotless. Major roads on all sides, so it doesn't look, or feel, like a resort, but more like a roadside attraction. The deck is lovely. Great table and chairs, great gas grill. Renting a sun umbrella will set you back 50.00 + a 30.00 deposit you'll get back (and the sign explaining this is worded in an angry and scolding fashion, as if you are in trouble for a past sin). At this time of the year, it was impossible to be on the deck without it - too hot, full sun. The deck has rails and is mostly child-proof but the square body of water is wide open and easy for little kids to fall as they look for fish. Check-in takes place at the fish-cleaning and bait store on the property, and this is where fisher-people on bigger lakes might enjoy the place, they could fish on the big waters, come home, have the fish cleaned and then grill them up themselves. The bait store also sells beer and Amish furniture. Fish cleaning must be paid for in cash, and there is no ATM on site. If guys were on a fishing weekend, they'd probably be ok as long as they didn't mind the short beds. Families should note the challenges in the bedrooms and the safety issues. Location is close to bigger water, and it might be a good place to stay for Cedar Point as well. I wish I could say the front desk person made it all worthwhile, but she was terse and gruff, as others have stated. To be fair, it can't be an easy job do deal with fisher-people while running a fish cleaning business. The reservation and payment was accurate and easy. Nobody was wearing a mask in the store. We don't fish, we were attending a birthday gathering at Twin Oast, which is a great nearby brewery. We were really looking forward to being away from the kids and getting a great night's sleep, but it wasn't possible in twin beds. Since we had to go out for coffee in the morning, we left long before check out, so we paid 271.00 for 19 hours. Hope this helps others.

Stayed recently for weekend of at Cedar Point. Approx 6-7 miles from Cedar Point, about 15-20…read moreminutes depending on traffic, decent location. Front desk staff very nice at check-in. 2 queen room was spacious with trundle sofa, that was comfortable for school age child. Extra pillow and comforter in closet for trundle soft but no additional sheets. Room has spacious bathroom, mini fridge, but no microwave. In hallway there is an ice machine and filtered water refill, which was great. Hotel had just opened within 1 month, but concerning is how dirty the floors/hallways are already. Carpet wasn't cleanly placed and you can see a lot of flaws throughout but not a huge deal. The dirty tile and carpeted floor just soon after opening is a little concerning so soon after opening. The stairs and hallways were not vacumed the 3 days we were there. The room was clean but not spotless on check-in. We asked for towels one evening and they were brought up within minutes by very kind staff. Breakfast had microwave style pork bacon, spinach/swiss crustless quiche (which was really great), assorted bagels, plain Greek yogurt, dairy and non-dairy milk options. Warm oatmeal and topping station for oatmeal/yogurt was great. Basic hotel hot coffee/tea options, Scrambled eggs with salsa/hot sauce. Waffle making station (2). The breakfast area is quite small and gets very busy after 8am, with staff having a hard time keeping items stocked and long wait to make a waffle. Breakfast is great prior to 8am. Pool area is very small and when more than 2 families are in pool, feels cramped and busy. No hot tub. I went to 24/7 gym each morning and used treadmill, which was nice. The sensor for lighting when working out (during dark hours) is a safety issue. Every 20 minutes the lights turned off completely, you would need to get off equipment and walk over to the door to turn lights back on. Filtered water station but bring your own bottle. Pricey for location, amenities but not a bad choice overall.

Only stayed here for a night, but this place was perfect. I booked a camping spot over the phone 15…read moreminutes before the office closed, and the woman on the phone was extremely helpful. We slept on the ground in sleeping bags. There were a lot of people making noise until about 12:30am, playing music, singing, talking and yelling. The showers were not great but fine for a campground. I went to bed around 2am when everything had died down. Around 7am, some banging started like there might be a shooting range nearby. In the morning, I explored the camping area and got some exercise. So much better than a hotel gym! I ran around, shot some hoops, and bounced on their "jumping pillow" which was exactly what I needed before a day of driving. And it was so much cheaper than a hotel room.
