I'll tell you right out, the clam strips kept this from a 5. They were not good to the point where it disrupted the whole delocious plate. Now when you get passed that, I loved this place. The colors, chill vibe, cool staff, toms of specials, this is an easy all the time spot to go to. I had trouble choosing what I wanted because everything sounded great and seeing the plates coming out of the kitchen I wanted all of it. Everything fried was good, the shrimp were fresh and the best of everything next to the calamari. The lobster roll was so chock full of lobster. Sometimes you have to look for it among the filling, but here it was flat out lobster, fresh, cooked to perfection, absolutely worth it. The lobster bisque was one of the top I've had. It was super filling, it could be a bit thinner considering it was a little on the thick side. It did have lobster pieces inside, and again, one of my top anywhere. I keep hearing about how great this place is but hadn't gotten around to trying it out yet. The owner is from Rhode Island, so really knows seafood. My friend and me came here for my birthday, and wanted to have lobster rolls. I have had plenty of cold lobster rolls in my life - we use to go to Maine a lot, but I've surprisingly never had a warm roll. We both ordered the warm lobster rolls. They come with crispy fries and coleslaw. All I can say is - WOW. This was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The bun was perfectly toasted with butter on it, but not too much. There was TONS of lobster meat on the sandwich. It was falling out - I had to keep packing it back into the roll. The lobster was cooked perfectly and the amount of melted butter was just right. That, along with the perfectly crisp fries and coleslaw was a home run. My friend had just came back from a vacation in New England and said this lobster roll was better than the one she had on vacation. Seriously, I keep trying to find an excuse to go get another one sooner than later. They are not cheap - $24, but I felt like we got a ton of lobster for that. You can also get a fountain drink, which you can refill at your leisure. They have a bunch of other items on the menu - clam strips, seafood platter (baked or fried), fish and chips, scallop or shrimp platters, etc. It was busy when we were there and I saw a lot of people ordering the fried platters and enjoying them. Absolutely amazing. Visited this spot on a whim for my anniversary dinner. My wife and her family are all from Massachusetts so the bar is pretty high when it comes to seafood and this little gem went above and beyond. Small wait time for a table which was not a huge thing at all. The clam chowder was excellent. Huge amount of clams in such a small bowl was surprising. For the mains my better half got the seafood linguine which had shrimp, scallops and lobster. Freakin unreal! I got two mains the fried platter and the lobster Mac and cheese. All of it was so good! Cute little place in the Aldi shopping center. 4 outside tables, 6 inside tables and 4 counter seats at the window. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Customer service is almost funny as there were no less than 6 people who checked on us, every 2-3 minutes. Really nice people, happy to be helpful. Tiny seafood restaurant in the soon to be Aldi strip mall. Stumbled across this gem! Was greeted with a friendly smile by a young man behind the counter. He asked if it was our first visit then proceeded to point to the wooden surfboards on the wall. You order at the counter, pay, then the food is brought to your table. He explained the menu and we decided on a bowl of steamers to start. Selected the grilled salmon salad and the baked seafood platter as entrees. No alcohol available but there are fountain drinks and bottled water. Small dining area adjacent to the lobby and we picked a booth to sit. Everything we ordered was served to us. The steamers were excellent! Super fresh, hot and served with a side of butter for dipping. Entrees were served as we were finishing up the steamers. My salmon salad was great. Fresh greens, grape tomatoes, mozzarella balls and onions. I chose the balsamic vinaigrette. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed the baked seafood platter. We drove up from Haines City and found this hidden gem!!!Very quick service! The ambiance was low key with inside and outside seating. The cashier was very sweet! Our food came quickly and it was AMAZING! I got the Lobster Mac appetizer (for my meal). My husband got the shrimp basket. Came here to eat based upon other reviews. I had the fisherman's platter fried with fish, shrimp, scallops and clam strips with fries and coleslaw. Also ordered hush puppies, as an appetizer. When delivered to our table, there were six large balls. Downs I'd was that when I cut into one to eat, the center of the ball,still,was raw dough. We sent them back, and they did make it right by bringing more, but after the other food was already delivered. They were good, but as an afterthought, was not as good as expected. The rest of our meals were good. You have to order at the cashier, pay, then find a table and wait for the food to come out from the kitchen, with s delivery person shouting out your name. The food was ok, but in our meal, we had a smallish piece of fried fish, six shrimp, five fried scallops ( you should not fry scallops), and a big pile of fried clam strips. After seeing a write-up in the Local Magazine, we finally gave them a try. I believe it was Tia behind the counter who was extremely helpful in explaining their menu and specials. It is located in a strip mall but they had is nicely decorated. Our party of 4 ordered clam chowder so yummy and thick that the spoon stood still. We ordered our chowder with the clam cakes. I would say they were more like hush puppies. We ordered the grill platter and our friends ordered the fried platter. The food was fresh and tasty. Loved the steamers had them three days in a row to get my fix it will be a month before I'm back in town. The 2nd day I think I made two couples upset I was eating by the window. They had already eaten and they kept looking at me. And when they left one of them came in looking to see why they didn't know they had steamers lol. Been hearing good things about Seafood Shack from friends and they were not wrong about this place! Food (fried seafood platter, cod, shrimp, scallops, calamari, cole slaw and fries) was excellent, served hot, tasty and to perfection. My wife had the same platter just that it was baked with veggies, potatoes instead of fries. Equally as tasty as mine. (We went on a thursday for lunch, no waiting). Each platter was $24, well worth the money, large portions except for the cole slaw. Service was friendly, quick and accurate. No beer here. I ordered the fish and fries with coleslaw while my wife got just got shrimp and fries. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but it also wasn't super flavorful. I think with a bit more seasoning, it would have took it over the top, but for me, it was just ok. As for the coleslaw, I wasn't a fan at all. Again, not as flavorful as I would have liked and was a bit too runny in my opinion. I know my taste buds are different then others, so if you're in the area and don't care much for heavy seasoning, check them out. We enjoyed our visit to the Shack. My husband and I shared the seafood platter with stuffed shrimp, baked cod and a large scallop. Sides were corn on the cob and mashed potatoes -- all of which were well cooked and tasty. We added a bowl of clam chowder and crab cakes; while the chowder was thick and full of crab and potatoes the cakes were a definite disappointment. They were doughy and lacking in crab.
