Hush puppies

This place did not disappoint Small establishment Very friendly service (very-very attentive to the customers) Lots of specials and options Coke products Super tasty Very fast for a sit down place Lots of quick turnover Order at the counter and find a seat. I had the Maine Lobster Roll (came with fries and awesome coleslaw) and had a side of hush puppies - This place is a bit pricey ($24 Lobster Roll).

Cute little place in the Aldi shopping center. 4 outside tables, 6 inside tables and 4 counter seats at the window. Order at the counter and they bring it out. Customer service is almost funny as there were no less than 6 people who checked on us, every 2-3 minutes. Really nice people, happy to be helpful. I had the grilled shrimp platter that came with mashed pitas grilled vegetables (I substituted for Cole slaw). We also got hush puppies. Everything was delicious. They have Coke Zero.

Fried Seafood Platter - cod, shrimp, clams and fries.

The staff showed patience and were attentive to each customer. The seafood was fresh and cooked to perfection but wasn't seasoned well. Tables were too close so conversations were crossed and people trying to talk over each other.. Nice small restaurant in a small town.

Tiny seafood restaurant in the soon to be Aldi strip mall. Stumbled across this gem! Was greeted with a friendly smile by a young man behind the counter. He asked if it was our first visit then proceeded to point to the wooden surfboards on the wall. You order at the counter, pay, then the food is brought to your table. He explained the menu and we decided on a bowl of steamers to start. Selected the grilled salmon salad and the baked seafood platter as entrees. No alcohol available but there are fountain drinks and bottled water. Small dining area adjacent to the lobby and we picked a booth to sit. Everything we ordered was served to us. The steamers were excellent! Super fresh, hot and served with a side of butter for dipping. Entrees were served as we were finishing up the steamers. My salmon salad was great. Fresh greens, grape tomatoes, mozzarella balls and onions. I chose the balsamic vinaigrette. The salmon was seasoned and cooked perfectly. My husband enjoyed the baked seafood platter. Scallops, stuffed shrimp and fish. Served with seasonal vegetables and coleslaw. Generous portion and delicious. Will definitely return again!

New England by the sea themed Christmas tree!

Seafood Shack has amazing food w/great attentive service, cozy and casual vibe! The hubby and I went there and hr ordered scallops and I ordered the clams w/lingunie pasta. The food came out fast, hot, tasted amazing with generous portions! The atmosphere is cozy, casual, & comfortable with a New England charm w/OUT fluff! The service was quick, attentive and genuinely pleasant by Kylie, Joe and amongst others! And the price was perfect too! We will be back for more!!!

We drove up from Haines City and found this hidden gem!!!Very quick service! The ambiance was low key with inside and outside seating. The cashier was very sweet! Our food came quickly and it was AMAZING! I got the Lobster Mac appetizer (for my meal). My husband got the shrimp basket. The Lobster Mac came in a very nice portion size, which I had to take most of it home. Wonderful flavor, a lot and large pieces of lobster. My husband's shrimp was a large portion, came with fries and delicious Cole slaw. GREAT JOB! We will be back.

Came here to eat based upon other reviews. I had the fisherman's platter fried with fish, shrimp, scallops and clam strips with fries and coleslaw. Also ordered hush puppies, as an appetizer. When delivered to our table, there were six large balls. Downs I'd was that when I cut into one to eat, the center of the ball, still, was raw dough. We sent them back, and they did make it right by bringing more, but after the other food was already delivered. They were good, but as an afterthought, was not as good as expected. The rest of our meals were good. You have to order at the cashier, pay, then find a table and wait for the food to come out from the kitchen, with s delivery person shouting out your name. The food was ok, but in our meal, we had a smallish piece of fried fish, six shrimp, five fried scallops ( you should not fry scallops), and a big pile of fried clam strips. Overall, lots of food, but I have had better.

After seeing a write-up in the Local Magazine, we finally gave them a try. I believe it was Tia behind the counter who was extremely helpful in explaining their menu and specials. It is located in a strip mall but they had is nicely decorated. Our party of 4 ordered clam chowder so yummy and thick that the spoon stood still. We ordered our chowder with the clam cakes. I would say they were more like hush puppies. We ordered the grill platter and our friends ordered the fried platter. The food was fresh and tasty. There was plenty on the platters to share with our spouses. The only downside was no beer or wine. But that wouldn't stop us from visiting again.

Loved the steamers had them three days in a row to get my fix it will be a month before I'm back in town. The 2nd day I think I made two couples upset I was eating by the window. They had already eaten and they kept looking at me. And when they left one of them came in looking to see why they didn't know they had steamers lol. They were great made me feel like I was back home in act remembering when we would go to the beaches in RI and dig our own up. Staff were all friendly smiles were everywhere. See you next

Inside enjoying the ambiance.

My review on The Villages Florida Community I formation: The Seafood Shack in Leesburg, Florida, is a New England-style seafood restaurant known for its lobster rolls, clam chowder, and seafood boils, offering a casual, family-friendly atmosphere with dine-in, takeout, and outdoor seating options. It's located in the Aldi plaza and is praised for fresh ingredients, generous portions, and friendly service, with popular items including Connecticut or Maine-style lobster rolls, whole belly clams, and seafood pasta. The food is absolutely delicious and is perfect for friends and family.

Ahhhh loved it. We like to get out of The Villages and try the local places and this did not disappoint! My baked seafood was so good, nice sized portions of butterflied shrimp, scallops, and a buttery crusted cod. We can't wait to go back.

Stepping down into dinning&Bar area but looking through the back Windows is an outdoor patio&yard area on beautiful Florida day for lunch who is sitting inside. not me! They told us to pick our seat outside since we were the first to arrive that day for lunch. Adorable space they created outside and even a deck and dock on the canal to choose to sit for lunch. Soft music playing and we had it all to ourselves for about 20 mins and then it filled up. The gentleman was happy, cheerful and kind. Great selection of seafood on the menu. We chose the redfish sandwich, slaw&fries. He did tell us everything is homemade even the sauces. The redfish was moist, flavorful with a good amount of fish, the redfish was not fishy at all. Very good. slaw was delicious little sweet had no carrots but that was ok did not miss them. Tartar&cocktail was fresh and you could taste that it was homemade. French fries looked like they just peeled the potatoes cut and lightly fried them perfectly. A little crunch on the outside and soft in the inside. The story of this little gem of place. old owners had it for 36yrs. Retired that in it self is a special thing. Then sold it to another guy who kept everything the same and restored the buildings and spruced up the place a bit along with getting a full liquor license. Don't fix a menu that is not broken just add to it. He will have it for another 36yrs. Glad the beat goes on and I got to experience a little of hometown Inverness. A Happy Place!

But when I first visited Harry and the Natives about 6 months ago I realized this place was different. Now, I can honestly say it's a place 'I look forward to' vs. a lot of The Villages food options which are 'places i settle for'. Pricing is fair for the quality you get. The drinks are Tiki inspired and delicious (I highly recommend the Village Dodo) and you can tell they pride themselves of freshness and quality. They have some of the best crab cakes I've ever had, a bit pricey but they are almost 100% crab (almost not binder/filler) and if you know the price of crab these days you'd understand the pricing. For me, a Village Dodo drink, Filet Mignon medium rare 'surf and turf' style with a crab cake, and creamed spinach side served outside with the tiki torches blaring is near perfection in a meal.
