As an extremely protective girl-dad, it was painstaking to find a school we could trust to care for…read moreour little girl. Quality of care & security are high on the list of must haves for me. Everyone here is very attentive, responsive, mindful & caring. There is a "nanny cam" in all the rooms that's viewable on campus, the teachers & staff do a great job of keeping constant attendance, check-ins and activity logs (sometimes photos) are shared with parents thru a special app, and there seem to be excellent protocols in place for the children's safety & well being. (The one thing I wish they had is video cameras accessible to parents off-site. That would put me even more at ease.) We really love how Ms. Heyley treats the kids in her classroom like her own. She has such a big heart for what she does, and it shows. She often gives us one-on-one progress updates, and she goes over & beyond just being a teacher. Our daughter has learned so much from being in Ms. Heyley's class - from improving social skills, life skills, fun lessons & crafts, to writing and vocabulary. The Director, Ms. TK, has always been so approachable & responsive too. They run a great school here.

This is the most AMAZING PRESCHOOL in The Woodlands!!!…read more After painstakingly researching practically all the daycares and preschools in the area and touring several of them, we immediately felt the most at ease and excited about Little Sunshine's Playhouse. Ms. TK (the director) and her entire team are so professional, organized, thoughtful, and kind. They have treated us like family from the very first encounter and continue to show us warmth and exceptional care every single day. The school is immaculately kept and has great security protocols for a parent's peace of mind. There are various extracurriculars (like gymnastics, dance, and soccer) offered, as well as special events & holiday socials. The faculty are so creative in keeping things fun & engaging - - not only for the children but their families too! Ms. HEYLEY is an incredible teacher & trustworthy caregiver. Our 2-year old has learned so much from the curriculum and has so much fun in class. I appreciate the frequent updates (and activity photos) that make me feel like I can be a part of each moment, even at a distance. Eventually, we will graduate to the next age group/classroom (and onward), but her "first" teacher and first year experience will forever hold a special piece of our hearts. Thank you to Ms. TK, Ms. Monica (assistant director), Ms. Beth & Ms. Heather (head teachers) for always being so approachable, informative, and helpful. Thank you to Ms. Heyley and supporting classroom teachers (Ms. Camryn, Ms. Beth, Ms. Belle, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Alyssa, and other names I'm still trying to remember) for the care & attention you give to our little girl and all her friends! We appreciate you all sooooo much. We love LSP and everyone who has played a part in our little girl's wonderful preschool experience! We made the right decision enrolling at LSP. Truly the best.... It is our home away from home for these precious early years.

But there were times that every two weeks there were different teachers in the room. One lasted 1 day because the state came and did a background check on the employees and for some reason this new girl was released that day! The last straw was when he was moved up with his friends to the next classroom. I was nervous about this change because he finally had 2 teachers that lasted a month! But I was promised (by the director) the teacher had been there for a long time and was great. So we were hopeful. So in the new class room we were not there long at all, when an accident happened and...it is now 6 months from when it happened and he still has a scar. The kids were playing outside and when they lined up to go in, they said he ran off, tripped and his face went into the iron fence and his teeth through his lip and into a board as he landed face down on the ground. If you know my child (who is not perfect but very shy) this is not his nature! I asked the lead teacher what happened and she flippantly says she doesn't know....HE was covered in blood and she does not know! I was in shock, grabbed my child and left! The next day I go to see the director who was not there when this happened and she tells me that the lead teacher didn't show up to work and quit...that screams something is wrong! She then calls in the other teacher (another new hire) what happened and the above story is what I got. She said she was busy with another student but saw it happen. I ask her what she is going to do to ensure my childs safety (as he has also been bitten in the new class just the day before....deep bite through a sweater and his skin was broken on his back) and again, I am given the speech to give them more time.....NO I was done! I was calm, over and over again as he was bitten (skin broken) because new teachers were not keeping kids engaged. I believe when we left, the number of times he was bitten was 8 and he didn't bite back. The teacher told me they had a kid who loved to bite, but there was not a bite policy in place other than they would talk to the parents. And the teacher in the classroom told me that child was a problem as he bit 3 kids on the last day we were there. The several times I did drop ins, they were not following curriculum! I know I should like a helicopter mom, but when your child keeps getting injured.... you start to take notice quickly! And this is how I found out about a teacher putting soap in a child mouth.....but the director/owner can spin a story to place blame on everyone but them. I moved my child to another school (United Methodist in Montgomery) after this and at 6 months now with the new school....no injuries! He has had the same teachers the entire time and he has learned so much.....verses Primrose where he was not because they were constantly training new teachers. I regret that I allowed my child to stay there as long as I did!

I would not recommend this daycare to families with children who have developmental support needs…read more My son was enrolled here, and as a parent, I went above and beyond to provide support for my child, including arranging outside ABA services in the classroom with him daily, yet it still felt like the daycare was unwilling or unprepared to appropriately support him. Despite having professional support in place, the daycare still decided to remove him from the program. This experience was extremely disappointing and disheartening. Instead of working collaboratively and inclusively with a child who was actively receiving services and making developmental progress, it felt like the daycare ultimately chose not to accommodate his needs. What a horrible way to treat a two year old! If I could give them zero stars I would.

This keeps it interesting and fun for the kids. I love the hands on lab experiments in science. Also my daughter learned how to use a mouse in computer class. We even downloaded several of learning apps they use in class for home. They break them into small groups and they take turns rotating to various classes with special teachers there. In their main class they have main teacher and usually two other Aids . They do art projects and have stations for free play. They have different themes each week and show and tell. They have nutritious meals as well. Most of teachers and staff truly care about children and show that in their enthusiasm. They seem to have a lot of patience for kids and various issues that they may struggle. They really try and work with them. My daughter has developed many close bonds with her teachers and friends there. I feel her social and language skills have improved there. My daughter looks forward to going to school every day!
