Wow...what can I say! Undeniably, the best fresh seafood in all of Florida..hands down. Bought a pound of steamers (from Gloucester, MA) , a pound of flounder (White mild Fish), & a pound of Salmon! Just finished eating the steamers & Flounder and it was the absolute best freshest seafood in the area! I lived in Gloucester, MA for 15 years and know very fresh selections...I am blown away. I truly wanted to like this place and become a regular customer. However, the overwhelming number of politically charged photos on the walls--particularly those depicting one of our presidents in jail and labeled a criminal--felt highly inappropriate and unprofessional. If the business has such a strong bias against Democrats, it would be more transparent to simply state that it's a space only welcoming to Republicans. At the very least, have the courage to own your political stance instead of offending people in such an over-the-top, almost unhinged way. I served this country for a long time--through four presidents and four administrations--and I've never known a single real U.S. soldier who would publicly mock or disrespect any sitting president, regardless of party. Beyond the political messaging, the environment itself was unpleasant. The odor inside wasn't just a fish smell--it strongly resembled sewage, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. As for the food, the mussels I purchased (only once) had a horrid smell, and most of them were completely inedible to cook. 1 read more

I meant three stars not four, I'm not sure why it jump to four. I had the shrimp boat and it was very good. I will go back, I love sitting close to the water while eating seafood. My husband and I lived direct ocean front for a few years in our sixth floor condominium ocean front condo in the Wind Rush condominium there on Cocoa Beach before moving to a waterfront house close to the Kennedy Space Center on Merritt Island, Florida. I now living on the water in The Village, Florida on a small but beautiful lake.. I just love eating seafood while sitting on or near the water especially when the seafood is very good as it is at the lighthouse restaurant in The Villages. read more

Being from Massachusetts and loving seafood, as well as Boston sports, I wanted to give it another chance after a disappointing meal, but it proved to be even more disappointing. I ordered the fried clams, which were the smallest ones I've ever seen, there were probably about 10-12 sour tasting clams clumped together on plate with cold fries for $30. Sad because The Villages really needs a good seafood vendor. Maybe they can study business management along with global market forces and improve things, but I think this one won't last long. Integrity is not in this business. I was sold LUMP crab. It was not lump crab (it was a pound of bits and pieces . Very different than lump crab. Full of cartilage as well after telling me it was clean. Of course you expect some cartilage in any crab. He knew full well what he sold me was not lump crab. I called a little after 9 to ask if they had stone crab. The man who answered the phone said they had them then said they weren't open yet. I then asked for the price and he said "I don't care" and hung up on me. Excuse me for not knowing your hours, I will take my order elsewhere. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, polite and always willing you accommodate any requests I have. The variety of seafood is fantastic.
