I picked this place bc it is "health conscious" and their branding made me feel comfortable because of my health issues. I needed my roots done or some way to blend it due to regrowth and no energy to fix it. It is frustrating because I would have been ok with a root melt/smudge/etc. I am pretty open to changing to something manageable during this hard time. I would have been ok with an off scalp application that blends the line with bleach or a semi darker dye. Instead, I was just basically looked at like nope, we only do highlights. No question on why I was in this business or if I was open to other applications than on the scalp bleach. I would have been open to a conversation. It is an unfortunate way of handling things. Since I came to your business on purpose. Instead it seems I was judged instantly and pushed out the door. I don't believe health conscious branding that doesn't care to actually ask why someone is in their specific business before telling them to go down the road. All that said, the interaction wasn't negative. Just unfortunate.

I have never gone back to a salon before with a complaint but I did this time. When I went back Viviana wasn't there. Erin offered to fix my hair and did a good job. She took her time and made sure it was all even. Thank you, Erin! The hair cut I got would have been $60 without the Groupon. Glad I didn't pay that for the worst hair cut I ever got!

As I was walking around the store I noticed the taller gentleman paying particular attention to me. That was a red flag to me. I continue to walk along the aisles and I look over and I notice he is staring me down out of the corner of his eyes. Finally as I'm checking out they ask to see my ID to make sure that my credit card belonged to me. Interpret this as you may but I believe they assumed I would steal something or commit credit card fraud. This store is located in a low income neighborhood so I don't know if they have to be on guard because they encounter these things often but I didn't appreciate it. I pray for the day when no one will discriminate against others because of the color of their skin.
