Long story short, I was misdiagnosed with Achilles tendonitis, which at the time, I felt just couldn't be right. Brandon, my PT at Pursue, almost immediately, and super impressively, was able to determine it was a nerve issue that originated from my hip/back. The weeks went by and I improved immensely. I began PT worried about my ability to return to running at 100% in time for a marathon I plan to seriously train for in the fall and I now leave PT feeling even better than 100%. All thanks to Brandon, who was very personable and great to work with, along with the rest of the Pursue PT staff. Dr. Curtis is the best out there. He is the most kindest doctor I have ever met. He truly cares and I can't say that anymore about any doctor I have seen. He is thorough. He takes his time to check everything, sending me for tests before he just randomly diagnoses me. In 10 years he has NEVER ever said, sorry, can't help. He has helped me through a lot of pain and agony I can't say enough about Dr. Curtis or his wonderful staff. I prefer him to my regular internist who, I will only see only if I have too. I wanted to wait to complete my therapy at Total Health before I wrote this review. I had pain and…read morenumbness for years in my upper back and arm. This limited me from participating in sports, playing with my sons and affected my overall quality of life. After driving passed this place over and over, I decided to make an appointment and give it a try. I had an initial consultation with Drs. Locatelli and Tyminski. They were very friendly and thorough with their exam and subsequently sent me for an MRI. Confirming the bulging disks in my neck, they started therapy right away. This included manual therapy, exercises and their decompression machine. It took a while as it was a chronic condition, however, I'm happy to report I haven't felt this good in years! The PT I predominantly worked with was Beth Gaerlan. She is knowledgeable, motivating, professional and a pleasure to work with. I really owe a lot of my recovery to her. The entire staff at Total Health fit Beth's description as well, what a wonderful group of professionals! Truth be told, I really didn't want to go to PT as I was skeptical. After working with the staff, I wanted to continue even when they said I didn't need to go. Total Health gave me my life back and for that, I'll be forever grateful. I have…read moreMedicare and I was never told of an out-of-pocket expense and I had been to the facility many times I ended up leaving the state for emergency hip replacement surgery so I was never checking my physical mail at my home. I received an email last week saying I had a balance of $173 and I was being sent to collections. I answered the email immediately and called them and said that I was out of state that I could send $50 ASAP and then upon returning to I would pay the balance in full. Nobody answered my email and just this morning I received a second email saying I was being sent to collections. When I did call the office, they told me they would not take anything less than $100 and I explained to them that I was out of state and I was not denying the debt. I just was unaware of it and I was still recovering from surgery. Bottom line is this facility with the billing department is extremely rude and unprofessional, and I have no issues with the acupuncturist she was great, but I would stay away from this place because if you run into a billing problem, there is no communication and they are not willing to be flexible at all. If you're looking for Acupuncture, I community Morristown. She is wonderful and she works with you. I tried leaving a review under their website and I was unable to so I'll keep trying to do that and this is the best area I can do a complaint. I just feel bad for the older generation that might run into this billing issue and not be aware of it on a fixed income.

The billing company is sending me and my friend who went there astronomical bills even though are insurance says they paid in full. We both sent them our EOB's from the insurance proving that and they don't care. They just want money money money, more than they are owed. They put our bills in collections because we refuse to overpay them and they are completely unreasonable and won't budge even a dollar. We both tried to offer settlements to resolve the issue even though we didn't have to and they refuse to work with us. I would go somewhere else that has fair billing practices.

What a disappointment. I had been there a couple of times before for the treatment of other…read moreathletic injuries and was happy with their service. This time it was completely different. The first time I went for my current injury, I had to wait for almost a half hour. I was then told that I could come back another day because the DPT was busy. I responded by saying I was there now. I'll wait. When I finally got in to get diagnosed, there were a ton of people in there. The DPT listened to my description of my injury and without even examining me, told me what my injury was. There were so many interruptions at this point I wanted to walk out. But, I stayed to a continuing stream of interruptions during the time on was on the examining table when she finally examined me, almost an hour after I walked in the door. Against my better judgment, I made another appointment. When I showed up for the next appointment, I again had to wait. Again, there were a ton of people there. The assistant PT had no idea what I was supposed to be doing and had to continuously go back and forth to the DPT who was again dealing with multiple people. I just walked out. They couldn't care less about me walking out and canceling all my appointments. Despite its name, this PT place isn't geared to athletic injuries. It is dominated by older people. (There is nothing wrong with that. Just don't advertise that you gear to sports. For example, the DPT clearly wasn't an athlete.) It appears that the service that was once the cornerstone of this place is gone. It seems that it is all about getting as many people in the door as possible (Read: $$$$). That afternoon I made an appointment with Sportscare. They are very passionate about what they do. I will never return to SportsMed.
