I actually went in the morning so as to avoid crowds. It was still pretty busy though, but being as it is in a cave the time of visit isn't relevant. A perk! You pay about $50a carload, so get a few friends and family together, and it takes about 25-30min. There are some really great displays, and music. Comic characters, superheroes, Star Wars, Bluey, Santa, and other things. All very satisfying! Makes a great memory for little ones. Be sure and check it out, and get tour tix online.

The wait to go through took quite a while be prepared 1-1/2 to 2hrs we were waiting in the parking lot before the show. Super fun music lots of lights one of a kind light show if you are a Christmas person absolutely go check it out! We drove 3 hrs. Well worth it.

AhMAZING! This was great! ...and even better that it was in a cavern so we could ride through during daylight hours! One of my concerns was getting caught up in traffic, so we came through around 3pm. That was the best decision ever. We were able to take our time, pause to look at something longer, and peruse the lights. Technology is amazing. Some of the displays are very high-speed. The synchronization of lights and music is ......awesome. On top of that you could tune your car radio to a local station that pays Christmas music. I don't know what else to say but, do it. It's worth it. Go early if you can.

This was a really fun place to take the kids. Our friends had a pickup truck, so most of our group sat in the back, which is the best way to see. Tons of different themed displays, including Harry Potter and Mario. It's not a super long activity, but the price is relatively affordable. Overall, the whole family had fun.

Definitely a Midwest thing The drive was longer than we had anticipated and while the light set ups were fairly simple and predictable, it was definitely worth the drive from Cincinnati just for the kitschy holiday fun. Be prepared to wait in long lines most any time of day!

This is a neat experience we did the drive through. The walking tour seems to be the same but that is closed Feb-October Amazing to see something that large

Drove down from Grand Rapids Michigan to see the light show with my family!!!! Didn't know what to expect and was blown away! Highly recommend getting tickets for the guided tour. You can see so much more of the show.

Very nice and well worth it! They play Christmas music throughout the drive that go along with the various holiday light themes. The drive took us roughly 15 minutes and there's plenty to see. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

So stunning!!!! We drove through on Christmas Eve at 10am and we were shocked that there was no line! It took about 30 mins to drive through and every second was beautiful!!! 10/10

A bit pricey but worth it. Enough lights to entertain the whole family from grandparents to babies.

This is as very cool! I think it was about 20 minutes or so of a drive through light show. It's a little pricey but done well. The cave aspect added a new aspect of the Christmas light show.

WOW! JUST WOW!! I haven't been to lights under Louisville in three years and I am floored as to how much it has changed. It is an absolutely stunning light show to drive-through in the cavern I drove through with my son, and we took some pictures, which I will post. A beautiful selection of old and new Christmas music played as we drove through. HEADS UP! if you arrive and buy a ticket it's $56. But if you go online, use the online coupon you can get it for $37. And believe me it is well worth that $37 and more!! Best time to go is before 2:00/ weekdays. (lots less crowded) You will not be disappointed!! Thank me later!

My dog Ezra enjoying the lights!! Not the best pic but o ly one i took.

It kicks off with an actual event that usually includes a horse drawn carriage, Santa clause visits and holiday and seasonal games inside the court house. Then at night fall they light up a walking path in the park with all kinds of cool holiday lights. After the initial event they still light the lights on the path every night all the way to the end of the year. This event and viewing the lights the rest of the season is completely free and doing either or both is always a lot of fun. When me and my family use to live in the highview area we would go to the original kickoff holiday fest. But even in years we can't make that fun event we still visit the highview holiday fest and walk the path with all the lights. We enjoy it so much that sometimes we will hit it up 2-3 times a year. Very fun and cool holiday tradition. In that same 2-3 mile vicinity there are 3 other super cool holiday lights to view. There is toyland Christmas and the blue lights show on the other side of outer loop and then back behind the park off fagenbush is a house on green manor that has a workout. Santa clause roller coaster. So if your looking for a fun night of holiday lights viewing this is a great place to start.

When you hit the fork you take a left down the "one way". There is suppose to be a guy flagging or waving you on but on our visit he just sat there so we thought he was telling us to not go that way and we ended up taking a 3 mile detour through the park and and circling around. You can buy tickets at the main entrance booth once you go the right way or you can purchase online. The online pre purchase is recommended because evidently they can sell out. Pricing is pretty high. It is $35 a car load. I will say this. It's is very pretty and cool but extremely repetitive. You drive very slowly through a wooded trail for a mile or so. The woods is decorated with ginger bread house facades and other holiday type buildings. They have a lot of fake stained glass Christmas's decor of popular Christmas figures, movie/tv stars and cartoons. They have Christmas music playing in different sections throughout. At the very end they do have a cool Ferris wheel penguin decoration that leads you into a beautiful tunnel of lights you drive under. Which is the highlight of the visit. Overall I can say me and the kids finally experienced this. The workers here all kinda had a bad attitude and seemed lazy. Which I get it. It's cold and nobody likes working during the holidays. But if you are charging $35 a carload for Christmas fun then maybe act like you want to be there. As mentioned the decorations were very lovely and pretty. But we all was disappointed in how repetitive it was. They could of really broke it off in sections and each section having a different theme or decor style and it would be immensely better. I'm not sure we will come back unless major changes are made. I'm glad we finally did and seen this yearly attraction. However, if every year is exactly the same it just isn't worth seeing twice. There is all kinds of cool free light shows in Lousiville that offers more variety.

Some of the items are not for sale, having been handmade by a store associate to make their customers smile. Prices are fair and aligned with other sources. They do allow you to try on items which is nice. Some can be more expensive and you'd want to be certain they fit well. Besides costumes they have a ton of accessories and party themed decor.
