Stopped by here over the weekend with the wife looking for a Livingroom fan, chandelier and other lighting fixtures for our home. We were greeted at the door and t is a good-sized store, but we didn't find anything to our liking. It would seem most of these places carry the same thing and don't take into account that customers shop lighting businesses looking for something out of the ordinary. The prices were also pretty high, which begs the question; are they trying to put themselves out of business? read more

When Thomas Edison invented the lightbulb, I bet he never imagined it twisted and shining in all different directions like some of the lights in this place. Some of the lights in this place are Salvador Dali like in design. The styles of lights is all over the place, and you'll surely find something that fits your taste. I like this showroom better than the one on Orange Ave. in the downtown area. However, when I lived near a Lamps Plus, I thought that was the cat's ass of lighting stores. (that means excellent) Lightstyle is a bit of a cluster with stuff hanging everywhere, but I can't say I have any good suggestions on how to do it differently. You kinda feel like you're walking through a much smaller space since it's so filled with stuff. Your neck can get sore too from looking up all the time. They have some cool furniture as well, so when your neck does get sore, take a break and look around at the tables and chairs and bookcases and other stuff as well. They have some stuff on clearance and some may be out of box or one-offs, so be prepared to buy if you like a good deal. Take your time as you might miss something. If you see something you like, they may have a variation of it they can order too (that's what we did). Prices can be on the high side for some items, so it may be wise to research before you buy. read more

We are updating the lighting in the house and have been searching for just the right pieces. We didn't want the same old cookie cutter lighting available or seen everywhere lighting. We had been to Lightstyle a few years ago and liked what we saw as well as the service. So, we decided to revisit. Needless to say the service was very good and the selection beautiful. They have lots of styles of indoor and outdoor lighting to fit any decor. If you want quality on a slight budget check out the clearance section. You won't be disappointed. We were searching for a new fixture to go between the family room and kitchen, over the sink. After walking all over the store and choosing several we liked we found just what we did not know we wanted. It will look great there! We did find it in the clearance section. However, that did not mean Greg and his assistant, a lovely young man (Justin) did not treat or pack it with care and detail to preservation. They packed it well. They were wonderful and extremely helpful. We already picked out a few outdoor selections for our garage lanterns. Oh, did I forget to mention that the selections were so terrific that we left with one fixture and returned the next day for two more! We purchased a new kitchen fixture and one for the living room. I am building a house and needed help with my lighting choices. Greg Devack helped me choose the lighting I needed at a reasonable price. He sat me down at a large table with several catalogs with the type of lighting I was looking for, it did take a few trips to the store to finalize my choices. He kept track of everything I was looking at along with the pricing. I ended up with a lot of choices and had to narrow it down. His co worker Jay came out to my home and helped me with making sure I got the right size fixtures and just gave me some ideas as to what would work for my rooms. The customer service was fabulous, made this task actually enjoyable. I stopped in their store on Ivanhoe several times and never once was even greeted, so obviously this location is the one to use! So glad I gave the company another chance at this Orange Blossom Trail location, I will be back for more fixtures and will make sure my friends know about this gem. read more

This was one of our worst customer service experiences ever! We went in and the first girl to approach us was very nice but she disappeared and we never saw her again. The second girl was not at all friendly, not at all helpful and apparently was more concerned about microwaving her food and eating lunch than helping anyone. The two people sitting at the desk would not even look up! A man was sitting in an office talking casually to someone and could't be bothered with us either. We had come to pick out five ceiling fans and two pendants lights. We found the fan we liked but after waiting for anyone to come help us for some time we left empty handed. We had traveled quite a way to get there too. I will never go back and I do not recommend this store at all! read more

I can't say enough nice things about Greg Devack. I am a transplant from NY to Orlando and have very specific lighting ideas..all of which Greg entertained. We spent several hours on the right way to convert what I love about my prior home's lighting to a selection of lights that are even better than what I had! He took my call on the phone over a week ago and was ready when I came in. My husband and daughter were with me and he took into consideration their likes as well. All in all we finished outfitting the entire home plus ceiling fans because of Greg's product knowledge, creativity and overall service orientation. Purchased a light fixture from this company. When electrician installed fixture, three of the 9 arms for the fixtures did not work. We called and explained what happened. All they said was that there wasn't anything they could do for us and suggested that maybe we should call an electrician out to fix it. They also said - that's stange. We've seen where 1 of the arms haven't worked before but never 3. We paid $550+ for this fixture that is now worthless and they refused to exchange, replace, refund or fix it. Basically it was an "oh well" attitude. These lights have to be hard wired so how do you know whether they work or not until they are installed? I would just be careful when purchasing from this company. We purchased an extremely pricey fixture which doesn't work so they have money in their pocket and we have nothing in return. At least if they had a better attitude when explaining the problem it wouldn't have been as bad. You would think if you pay someone money for a product, that you would get a working product in return. I would have rather given someone who is jobless the money. read more

They are helpful in the store and they have great followup after the purchase. We live in Cocoa Beach in a midrise, and have been looking for a dining room light fixture (that doesn't block our view), as well as a track rail system for our kitchen to illuminate areas that have no under-the-counter lighting. We have limited flexibility because our ceilings are cement so we have to work with the existing electrical! Nothing we'd seen so far, that we could have installed, was very exciting to us. That is, until our contractor recommended Lightstyle of Orlando on Orange Blossom Trail. So we drove up to the South Orange Blossom Trail store to see what they had and are so glad we did! The show room is beautiful, with a large variety of light fixtures. On our first trip Jay was very helpful (and not pushy). He gave us an education in LED lighting, including a display of LED bulbs, and how they dim or don't (there are differences).He educated us a bit on rail systems and printed out some spec sheets and other information that we could take home and look over. We called to make an appointment a couple of days later with Jay, and because he would not be in the showroom that day, he referred us to Greg. Greg was equally helpful. In addition to his helping us purchase the track rail system and lights we needed, he printed off several spec sheets for dining room light fixture options and also helped us solve a lighting problem in our kitchen where we wanted to put can lighting in a soffit which was already too full of "other stuff"! We highly recommend this business. Both Jay and Greg are very helpful and knowledgeable. In addition to the showroom options being extensive, there are many additonal options in size and finishes, and orders for items not on hand generally take one and a half to two weeks to be delivered. This will be out "go-to" lighting store for the future! read more
