Hawaiian Airlines lost my luggage and with it my medication. My wife and I are on our honeymoon and we walked into the pharmacy 3 minutes before closing on Sunday in hopes to procure an emergency refill of various prescriptions. Initially Lihue Pharmacy provided me with their services for my cat. I am so thankful & grateful that Lihue Pharmacy is able to compound my cat's medication!! They may be good for on island service but beware if you are trying to get eye drops shipped to another island. I've had three experiences where it took 14 days and multiple queries to get eye drops after calling in a refill. There is always some kind of excuse. They also made mistakes with patient birthday, name and spelling which makes you less confident about the quality of the products and the whole operation. My other Dr used a compounding pharmacy in Missouri and it got to Hawai'i a lot faster than when Lihue Pharmacy handled it. read more

Hands down the best pharmacy on the island! Fast. Very very fast at filling prescriptions.

They're great when it's all good, but have been frequently out of stock (*of my particular medications). Ive been advised to call to confirm inventory when or before having my PCP prescribe. However, when told that stock is available, when my PCP sends order (prescription) immediately after my checking, it somehow ends up being "out of stock". This has happened not once, or twice, but three consecutive times (this time) and has occurred up to six times for a different medication. Reportedly, it's due to not being the "first (to) come" so I haven't been the "first (to get) served", which has had a hard time setting right in my left brain, so often, and right after being in stock. Because to my mind, unless it's been picked up and gone, if it's waiting for someone else to pick up, I would (still) be the first (to) come. And granted I don't know this as fact. But that seems to have been a whole lot of "coincidences" happening to land against me and I guess it's just a good thing I wasn't in Las Vegas at those times. Other than those sad emojis however, experiences @ LP have been otherwise positive, uneventful, and met with happy faces. it's just a bummer to not be able to say it's always the case. read more

This is my first official Yelp review ever. I have worked in hospitality for my whole life and can't stand "reviewers" that don't give constructive feedback and just complain. We'll I am joing the flock because this was seriously upsetting to me, did not catch her name but she was the short Pharmacy Technician with a nose piercing. I had called earlier in the day about transferring my prescription from Safeway to Lihue Pharmacy as Safewayvdies not accept my new insurance. The woman was very gruff and confused and kept telling me that I was looking to get ahold of Kaiser and that this was a pharmacy, after her not listening to me and trying to redirect me to the insurance office I finally said ok thank you, bye. I was close to the pharmacy a few hours later and decided to stop in so that I could apologize for any confusion and see if I could in fact transfer my prescription still. I walk in with my baby in my arms and the technician smiles at us while she is on the phone. She hangs up and flashed another smile...as soon as I started with my story and apologizing for my part in the confusion as I was the guy on the phone. she instantly recognized me as the guy on the phone and started frowning, She then turns to the very old gentleman behind the counter to say loud enough for me to hear that I'm the "F-ing Haole" pissed her off and annoyed her. She continued to act so put out and not making it known she does not want my business and trying to rush me out if the store. So I told her sorry again for any trouble I've caused and I'll just keep my prescription at Safeway. Girl....I get it...I'm Haole...lived here almost 10 yrs, got a local girl wife and baby...but I'll still never call myself a local. You are pushing 30 I'm guessing...maybe loose the nose ring and learn to breathe cause it doesn't look like you are calming with age. read more

Truly the best Pharmacy. My medical wouldn't cover my prescription, Kevin and his staff absorbed the cost for me. I'm speechless which does not happen often. Recent changes to our medical plan forces us to go to CVS connected pharmacy. After this awesome treatment from Lihue pharmacy . You are more than a customer, they care and take care. They were recommended by the local urgent care so we took the recommendation. So glad we did! We arrived within 3-4 mins from leaving urgent care and the pharmacist was filling the prescription already and was ready before I even sat down. They were caring and prompt which was so welcomed when you don't feel well. Much appreciation for the assistance. read more
