She sincerely apologized for what happened and spoke to the Kauai store, She is not sure why they wouldn't show me a cpap machine, as there was ample stock in the store. their excuse was "how am I to show him a machine if I don't have his air setting?" Totally irrelevant, you don't need that information to just show me a CPAP machine. Thank you Dale for reaching out to discuss what happened. Unfortunately I gave my business to Home Infusion. To the Kauai Gammie store, I'm not sure what your "power trip" is. The question is, how many other customers have they treated this way. I broke my femur on June 2 and Gammies worked with my husband to get my walker, toilet seats and shower chair as this will be a lengthy recovery. We were so pleased with their service that we decided to purchase a transport wheelchair from them so I can go do longer activities with my husband. Seamless easy process. Purchased online at 930am. Rented a scooter for a friend visiting the island for 10 days. Ordering was amazingly simple and super friendly and helpful. Great delivery service also--and a great deal! So, Gammie's struck again! If you can imagine what insurance fraud would look like...Gammie's is top of the heap! My friend who is mentally disabled was (in my opinion) scammed by Gammie's by having his medical insurance fully pay for a $700 CPAP medical device. 7 days later their house burned down. Even though his medical insurance already paid for the machine, Gammie's has decided that in the best interests of having the unique ability to feel they can sucker the mentally challenged into just agreeing to pay whatever amount they can try to get away with. The already charged him $700 for the original machine...and now they are unwilling to discuss why they are billing him personally and addition $800 for the first machine? Gammie's is got the insurance payment, now they are trying to take advantage of a mentally handicapped man and double charge him...and without a replacement machine. Gammie's should be called Scammies!!! read more

My wife broke her foot on day two of our vacation. Finding Gammie's was a lifesaver to our our vacation. We were able to get a rubber cap like boot for her foot so she could still swim and we rented a knee scooter so she could get around easily. When the doctor sent you there to get your urgent medical need for equipment such as crutches, nebulizor, etc.......That your insurance will pay for. No matter what kind of insurance you have she tells you you can't get it right away it'll take at least 2 to 3 days. ( that's because she is so slow in doing her work) Then she sends you to the handsome young man who will sell you some equipment that you need to pay cash for right away. they make much more money with patines cash than the insurance payment. your left with no choice. I am a pharmacist and I owned 2 home medical equipment companies for over 20 years. Gammie did an excellent job of coming to our rescue. Visiting for the week, my wife stubbed her foot and couldn't put weight on it. I called at 4:30 and asked for a wheelchair to rent. They delivered it to our hotel within an hour. We arrived over the weekend for a delayed Honeymoon in Kauai (covid) and discovered that my husbands CPAP was damaged beyond repair in transit-- we were given a referral to Gammies by the local pharmacy, and had to wait out the weekend for them to open. With fingers crossed, we made our way to the office Monday..hoping they could supply us with a mask/supplies to get our Vacation back on track..and allow my husband to sleep ! The airport messed up my boyfriend's wheelchair to the point where he couldn't use it. We needed to get it fixed but also needed another one to use for an hour or two. We called Grammies and they had some available. We were in and out within ten minutes. Returning the chair was very easy too. read more

Here I sit again waiting... I'm the only customer & there are 3 service reps - one is on the phone - the other sorting out a problem with my walker for the second time. The other, Brittnee, has twice interrupted me with the direction to "sit tight" - whatever that means, while she sits at the customer service desk working on her computer. My walker has now been returned to me, and I should now be released from my order to "sit tight" however all service reps are now in the back of the store. They probably saw me on Yelp & are trying to figure out how to proceed. The only thing I was trying to do while my walker was being fixed was to purchase a basket for it so I wouldn't infringe on their 12:00-1:00 lunch hour when the store closes. But my consideration went unappreciated and it wasn't until my walker was returned that I was permitted to purchase the basket, thereby shortening their lunch hour by 10 minutes. I'm sorry to have post this negative review. The Kyles should be commended; Brittnee needs a job in the back - far away from customer interaction. read more

When we arrived at our condo in Poipu, we discovered that my hon of hons husband's CPAP machine had stopped working. Since he has severe sleep apnea and requires the CPAP to help him breathe while sleeping, it was critical that we either got the machine working again, or purchased new one. Since we were on a little island in HI, we were pretty skeptical that we would be able to do either. On Monday we called the manufacturer of the device for help. After doing some troubleshooting with no luck, they found a home-care place in Lihue that had CPAP machines available, and also did repair. We headed over there immediately. Fortunately, the CPAP repair guy was in and quickly diagnosed the problem - the power supply had died. He had a refurbished one that he offered to sell us for $90. We accepted his offer and were out of there in fifteen minutes, and back on the beach in 30! Thanks for helping to save our vacation, Gammie!!!! read more

I've been buying CPAP supplies here for several months. They will only provide the disposable filters as part of the filter "kit"...one disposable and one non-disposable every 6 months. According to Medicare guidelines I am supposed to be able to get 2 disposable filters every month. They refused, even after I showed documentation that the single filters are available without the kit and that the Medicare guidelines are supposed to be followed. If you use CPAP supplies, look for another company. EDIT: I'm adding a star from my 2 star review. After posting (and sending a complaint to their headquarters), the CEO of the company sent me an email and apologized. He stated that the manager had been informed of the incorrect information that the staff had and would be doing an inservice to correct the information that they've been using. read more

So disappointed by the level of customer service. I arranged with manager, Kyle, to have some medical equipment moved. Kyle asked for my name, phone number and physical address so he could make the service call himself and would call me the next day to schedule an appointment. I have waited for a phone call and to this day...have never heard from the manager. I decided not to call them to "remind" them because I had originally stressed that I needed their assistance as soon as possible, and if they couldn't follow up with me, then perhaps I wasn't important enough to be a customer. I finally located/contacted Gammie's previous employee, Adrian, who has done service work for me, and arranged for help with my medical equipment needs. This business needs to have some customer service training. It's too bad that the level of efficiency and service has gone downhill since the previous manager left. read more

I called and asked about getting a wheelchair tire replaced. I drove in and caught someone as they were leaving for lunch. He looked at my old tire and said they could fix it. I returned that same afternoon and both tires were fixed. I am very pleased with the quick service and highly recommend this business. I was so pleased with the outstanding service I received from Gammies in Kauai and Maui. Serrena & Brittnee were both incredibly helpful in booking a power lift recliner and mobility scooter for my Father to use while we were on both islands vacationing! The prices wee affordable and the quality was great! I had both delivered and picked up for me which made it incredibly easy! I am really impressed with the high quality service they provide, it made all of the difference in having a great vacation! Super easy to get ahold of. The staff was friendly and very thorough when checking out a scooter for my mom. We were able to leave it at our hotel for a fee since Gammies was closed on the weekend for drop off. That's the only drawback. read more

We needed a wheelchair, walker, shower chair and patient lift for a condo stay. Gammie's website made ordering a breeze and everything was arranged in a matter of hours. Our check-in time was 3:00 and at 3:15 the equipment was delivered by a pleasant, polite young man who explained the workings of everything. We had to vacate the unit by 10:00 and another pleasant young guy showed up at 9:30 - perfect timing both times! The equipment was in tiptop shape.
