Longs has a variety of the basic tourist items such as coolers, sun tan and body spray, beer, wine, coconut water, some food items like pre packaged cheese and some deli meat. It gets backed is the only downfall. It's in the eye or the heart of the tourist reports and can be a bit of a maze depending at the time of the day. read more

Came here for water shoes and it served its purpose. Staff was also really friendly. They have a lot of stuff for the cheap compared to most other places. Actually ABC Store was a little cheaper. Still, this has more. If you need supplies, you could do a lot worse than this place. read more

A time portal exists on Kaua'i, in the town of Lihue. This can be the only explanation, because it appears I woke from a dream and find myself in a Longs drugstore. It seems only yesterday I was at home in California - formerly the proud headquarters of Longs Drugs - now long gone after the CVS takeover. All Longs Drugs now bear the CVS logo, all have been remodelled with any traces of Longs eliminated. I wander the Longs aisles now with a smile on my face. Here again is the abundant inventory selection (vs. CVS-generics), the beloved red aisle titles, the friendly workers, so many checkout counters, etc. It seems Hawaii has been insulated thus far from the CVS corporate assimilation. Lihue Longs shoppers are the winners. Here's hoping they can continue to shop at Longs for a long time to come. read more

Long's in Koloa used to be a great store. Well stocked, very friendly customer service. I've been going to their pharmacy for six years. Now, it's awful. The pharmacy no longer answers the phone. I wait on live to pick up prescriptions for around 15 minutes and get treated incredibly rudely. The newer people working in the front are rude too. I transferred to a new pharmacy this week.. I know they have trouble staffing; that's no excuse for hostile employees and I need a pharmacist who will answer the phone. Pay more and you will be staffed up. read more

Dont care for the manager June. She is rude, and totally obnoxious and so unfriendly. Customer service with her is not so great and I think Longs need to reconsider hiring a better manager who doesn't favor their employees, who is not unfriendly, obnoxious, and rude to their customers!!! But all in all, the store items itself is good n pharmacy employees are awesome people. I give the manager June a rating of 1 outta 10. I love Longs! I so miss them on the Mainland. CVS is fine as a pharmacy, but does not have near the merchandise that Longs carries. Longs near Poipu had what I needed during my week in town and I ended up stopping in 3 times for Food, cleaning supplies, and souvenirs. read more

I almost cried when I saw this Longs Drugs. I had no idea they even still existed until I saw them here. It brought back great memories of visiting Longs Drugs when I was a kid back in California before they were taken over by CVS. Stupid CVS. This store was big and has everything you may need as expect out of a Longs Drugs. Nice little souvenir section, snack section, local foods section, etc. Found the motion sickness medicine we were looking for! With the exception of the store brand being "CVS Brand" now, everything looked exactly as I remembered it. I hope this place never goes away! Prices are good for being on an island and it is a great place to find local foods that you won't find back on the mainland! read more

I like Kukui Grove Center, and normally I am not excited about going to a drug store. We have Long's Drugs on the mainland, but Long's on Kaua'i is more fun! The selection of local candies, popcorn, skincare products, beverages, greeting cards, etc... are the difference maker. Of course I will return! I hope it is soon! read more

Yesterday I received a text message saying I had a prescription ready to be picked up at the Lihue Pharmacy. I was not aware of this. I tried to phone the pharmacy but got the answering service. It was awful, round and round again. it took me 15 minutes to get to talk to a person at the pharmacy who said I did not have a prescription on file with them at this time. She was kind enough to check with the other local Longs but nothing was ordered. Brian read more

We stayed across the street from here, and walked over to grab some souvenirs. They have a lot of great things to pickup at prices that are reasonable, and several items were on sale. Definitely worth checking out if you can't make it to Wal Mart or Costco for souvenirs! read more

This is not your ordinary Longs! Large selection of products, more than any other I've visited before. The 2-3 aisles dedicated to "Health Food" had me singing. Many of the items I found (quinoa pasta! Woodstock Farms trail mix!) I've only been able to find at Whole Foods on Oahu, and for a whole lot more dinero. The usual touristy section is really well stocked and organized. It's no secret that I have a slight obsession with Longs stores, but this one just might be my favorite location of all. read more

It's okay Longs Drug Store. But a little bit disorganized. The loyalty / membership process is a bit out of control at Longs Drugs. They will spend 5 minutes trying to find your phone number in the system rather than simply bringing things up at the lowest possible price. Little difficult to find first time but convenient location. We forgot pills so had Pharmacy transfer RX to them. They were very courteous and helpful. Sent me text when RX was ready. Lots of things to buy such as candy, coffee, etc. to stock up. read more

I have always loved Longs and was very sad when ours were taken over by CVS,for which I have no fondness. So it's always a pleasure when we come to Hawaii and see the familiar logo. We have shopped at this Longs for years whenever we were in Kauai, stocking up on staples and treats. Today we bought Hawaiian tea to make iced tea, gum for the week, a comb and brush for Alan, who forgot his, that kind of stuff. I even found some of the Hawaiian Sun dark chocolate covered macadamia nuts that Rinky turned me on to. Score! read more

DO NOT PROCESS PHOTOS HERE! Their website says the photo center opens at 7am, but no one who knows anything about photo comes in until at least 8. The manager on-duty was incredibly rude, and made it seem like it was my fault for not knowing the employee schedule. Not a friendly place for island visitors. Go to Costco instead. read more

I wish I could give it no stars. The new Longs in Kukuiula Shopping Center DOES NOT HONOR THE LONGS ADS. I went there yesterday to get a case of Dasani because it was advertised for $5.99. It rang up $9.99 and I asked why. It seems this store does not honor their own ads. I told them to keep their water. It was the highest price on the island and I could buy it several other places on the island for $6.99 or $7.99. Because this store is smack dab in the middle of a large tourist section of the island I believe they just want to stick it to their visitors. I've been coming to this island for 20 yrs and this is the first time I've run into something as obvious as this. This store will not be getting my business. read more

Hey, its Long's. But on this island, it is a place needed. Recommend a stop here if you are heading away from Lihue, because you will pay double the price for normal items at the special marts or stores scattered throughout the island. This is THE place to go for Lihue's largest selection of oriental and Hawaiian snacks ... both sides of an entire grocery aisle.

The store was organized. The cashier we dealt with was sweet. They had a young staff member that sort of just floated by. She just stared at me until I left the aisle she was fascinated with...candy. The prices are comparable to Walmart and ABC. Tons of parking! read more

I live in California and Longs in Kukui Grove has been doing my Christmas cards for several years. My wife and I always take Santa hats to Kauai and pose for shots around the island. I lost my wife thirty months ago but still have Longs make the cards long distance. The photo dept. is great and so is the store manager.
