Man... I love walking thru this space. I happened to stumble across this gallery a few years ago and I've been a fan ever since! The photography is outta this world. The colors, the angles, the mood...the quality ... it is all amazing! When you dim the lights-the lighting and the colors of the photo changes... it's mind blowin' !!! This photographer does a lot of landscape shots- like national parks, New York, nature . I'm able to recognize the locations of the majority of the photography probably because I've been to all 50 states and have a thing for national parks and nature etc.... so that's probably why I am moved by it so much One shot was on the cover of Life ( a view from the north rim of the Grand Canyon- Inspiration Point I believe)... other beautiful shots include the Great Wall of china, antelope canyon, Hawaii, LA and of course New York. " Gotham" is my absolute favorite shot. I envision adorning it on one of my walls one day. If you're down to drop 3000,5000, 10,000- then you will own a lovely shot that I think is totally worth it read more

Walking around Soho, i stumbled onto Peter Lik's gallery, and was immediately drawn in. There was a photo of a tree in the window, and another one immediately upon entering. Nothing like i had ever seen before. The details, the colors, the size!!! Just Amazing. I could have spent the whole day there, just looking at his work. Gallery is a nice size, an they do a great job showcasing his work. I wish i could get a better grasp of how he actually works. There is a photograph of the night sky, with a tree in the middle of it that is great. Another favorite is the three panel photo of the empire state building, looking south. If you are in the area, or love photography, it is definitely worth a visit. read more

I truly love Photography and am putting a lot of thought into starting to venture into some photography work as well. When admiring Peter Lik's work, it's like viewing someone else's view of the world and what's not to love about that? I enjoy seeing the world through someone else and seeing beauty where I may not naturally see it. He mainly focuses on landscapes and architecture from around the world. His gallery is breathtaking and I had a good experience with the ladies working here including some in depth conversations about the artist himself and information about his style of photography. If I had extra income to spend on photographs like this I'm positive I would own a handful of his pieces, until that actually happens I will have to settle with admiring his fine photography in his gallery. While in SOHO, do what locals do...stroll through all the galleries and pick your favorite pieces, and if you're so inclined, make a purchase. read more

Wish I had never walked by (in a sad way) - here's why: I have been eying a photo in this gallery for almost a year, and I finally decided to make moves on a purchase. The Sentinel is this gorgeous shot on a foggy day in NYC. It is the perfect photograph. When I found out it would take $9K out of my bank account, I thought otherwise. Sorry man, but that's simply too much for an image. The staff were very friendly and professional, and the space was very clean. When I voiced my range of $100, they offered other photograph suggestions. However, this one shot is the only one I fancied. Since I've never seen a soul in the gallery, my assumption is that the artist must charge so much to pay for his empty SoHo location :/ Still, this under-the-bridge photograph was quintessential New York, and I wish I could have made the purchase!! read more

This is some of the finest photography EVER....ANYWHERE. Peter Lik has galleries in a lot of cities. I've seen his Vegas store, Beverly Hills, and now Soho. Some of the photographs change to suit the area, but he has a core group of photos that are in all the stores. Regardless, his work is exquisite, and talk about color...... oh so bright, vivid and beautiful. He photographs places 'round the world, and his ability to create a very unique blend of color and light truly goes unequalled. Have one of the sales associates show you how lighting alters the look and feel of his photographs. Truly mesmerizing. As much as I want to take pictures with my amateur camera of his professional ones for the purpose of putting on Yelp, well, there is NO way I could ever do that... it kind of defeats the whole copyright thing, amongst other issues. Even I understand that one. If you have never been to one of his galleries, you simply must. Even if you go with only the intention of looking, the price is right for that, TOTALLY FREE, and you will be amazed, and you will want to buy something. They are perfection. read more

I realize a few of the more negative reviews address trying to make a purchase, which I have NOT done - so 4 stars is really for the store setup and breadth of pictures they have on display ....Definitely worth stopping in if in the neighborhood! read more

I used to be a huge Peter Lik fan, and have several of his best pieces including Tree of Life. I recently went into the store to question them about their change in policy on upsizing their pieces. I received a cold reception including one sales assistant (Gabrielle) rolling her eyes at me when she thought I wasn't looking! I am appalled at the lack of service and no effort to help an existing customer. I will not buy from this store again. It's clear this is now all about money and not about art. read more

This was our 3rd Peter Lik gallery that we have been to - the other two being in Las Vegas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We told them what we were interested in and they made suggestions and helped us through the 2 hour purchase. It was a great experience and we are looking forward to going back and adding more to our collection. read more

The gallery itself is beautiful. Exquisite decor and superb presentation of photography. But there was a pretentious employee named Derek who was so incredible rude and passive aggressive with his insults that it ruined our experience there. My friends who were planning on buying a piece left insulted. We actually drove over an hour specifically with the purpose of going to this gallery too, very disappointing. read more
