"Fault Line" was a face that to me resembled a Russian ballet dancer. Composed with fine bone structure. I couldn't help looking at this painting. "Immersion 3" shows a woman with her slim damp arm and evening wear. "Beauty is the Beads" shows an African man presumably a Masai with a spear and a multitude of necklaces with beautifully colored beads. Sculptors and paintings were all here and I enjoyed this show.

They manage a shell nyartcompetitions.com This is a formal complaint regarding NY Art Competitions due to a lack of clear and prominent disclosure of a mandatory $55 submission fee during the initial stages of the application process. The fee was only revealed at the final step after I had already invested significant time completing the submission. This created the impression of a bait-and-switch or drip pricing structure, where material cost information was not clearly presented upfront, resulting in applicants proceeding through a lengthy submission process without full awareness of the financial requirement. I spent a significant amount of time completing the application under the assumption that all key participation requirements, including fees, would be clearly disclosed at the outset. This lack of upfront transparency led to unnecessary time expenditure and confusion regarding the true cost of participation. I am requesting improved disclosure practices so that all mandatory fees are clearly and prominently stated at the beginning of the application process before users are required to invest time or submit materials. I am also requesting deletion of my submitted materials and personal information from their system and confirmation that this has been completed.

Eden Gallery at this location is on Broome St. in Soho, NYC. We attended the Garden of Eden Art Party in Nov. 2024. Security checked everyone's bags upon arrival & people with specific sized bags were not allowed to being them into the gallery. Some individuals opted to keep their bags outside near Security, however the gallery is not responsible for anything that happens to your property - it if gets stolen, lost, etc. I was able to keep my bag w/ me w/ out any issues. Once inside, there was a fixture that had chocolate treats - they were delicious. Buzzing w/ a great crowd & fabulous energy, the Garden of Eden Exhibit encompassed art on the 1st floor. Eden Soho Gallery has a basement w/ other artwork. Contemporary Art is my favorite & it was awesome to view the various sculptures, vibrant wall art, Basquiat- inspired art, Pop Art, limited edition art signed by the artists, etc. Thank you to the nice & friendly staff. Learning about many of the artists, & their background as well as what inspired their artwork was amazing. I understand that there are exclusive buyers that receive VIP treatment, but Eden Soho Gallery should allow everyone to view all of the art, which includes art on the upper floor. The Garden of Eden Art Party Event had an good open Champagne Bar. Meeting interesting artists throughout any event is always "icing on the cake" & the Garden of Eden Art Party was no exception. My visit to the Gagosian was the book signing of Peter Lindenbergh"s latest coffee table book "Images of Women II", with a special appearance of Uma Thurman. Of course how could I resist, this super brilliant in depth photographer - his movement of natural and non retouched images, like the one of his latest projects with Kate Moss for Vogue, are signs of the times - ; and the wonderful Uma Thurman this controversial screen goddess with a heart of a gypsy. Yes this inspires me! Therefore for the good taste of the Gagosian hosting these two personalities I have to give them five stars ! Even so I know it's all about business (am not fooled ). Still am curious what the Gagosian's next project is and will be back! Yes I recommend to check out this gallery on the UES, if you are nearby ! ! !

I visited Gagosian's Madison location last weekend when I was visiting the city with my mom, because they have a truly incredible exhibit right now (through July 3, so if you're reading this before that date, run/don't walk to Gagosian). The exhibit (Picasso: Tête-à-tête) is in collaboration with Paloma Picasso (Picasso's daughter), and it includes fifty rarely seen paintings, sculptures, and drawings from the full span of Picasso's career - including a dozen works that are being exhibited for the very first time (and others that haven't been shown for decades). When you arrive, you show ID and then take the elevator up to the galleries. It's free to visit. And the exhibit was incredible, better than most museum exhibits I've seen. I'd never visited Gagosian before, but now I'll keep an eye out for future exhibits. This one really blew me away!

(Check out my review and pics from that exhibit on Yelp!) Both galleries are free! Each of the bright, colorful paintings in "Hard Boiled" portrays a different Japanese culture inspired story, inviting you to take a peek inside. For me, the style employs an understanding from traditional wood block prints, anime, and manga, but evolves into a new fresh hybrid with its own perspective, like the wonderful 3-panel "Turnip Head." "Takkyu Onsen Table," an artist piece with a table tennis top, ties to the imagery of the adjacent painting "Double Happiness." My favorite is "Butterfly" displaying a Japanese bathhouse interior - but every piece is delightfully vibrant, drawing you in for a closer look. Zoe Blue M.'s solo show continues until June 28th. Look forward to seeing what's ahead at both galleries given the excellent pieces presented!

They were founded in 2010 and moved into their current space on Madison Avenue at East 64th in 2016. (Love to visit art museums when you visit NYC? Don't sleep on the city's art galleries. Because Di Donna's exhibits are as museum-quality as they promise on their website.) Here's how it works. It's free to visit. (FYI they are closed on Sundays.) You'll walk up to a white door on Madison Avenue (it's marked to let you know you're in the right place) and press a call button. Then you'll be let into a hallway and you'll walk down it to the elevator which you take to Di Donna's floor. Then you walk into a small but intimate and modern gallery space (about three separate gallery rooms). It's free to visit, and there were a few staff members at a desk to answer questions and selling an exhibition catalogue. The exhibit I saw on Saturday (which closes on June 13, 2026) was Dalí: The Great Years. The exhibit was great. Many of the pieces were on loan from the Dalí Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida. Since I've never been there, I probably hadn't seen any of them before unless they'd been loaned out for other exhibits I saw in the past. The exhibit was well-organized (it is chronological so it was easy to know where to start, where to go next, and where to finish) and had helpful information to read while exploring the galleries. I had a great time at Di Donna, and I've already signed up for their email list so I'll know when their next great exhibit opens!

The gallery itself is located on a lower level of the building. Take the elevator to Level C, and the elevator will open into the gallery itself. Just to the left is a small sitting area with some pieces. To the right is the main gallery. The curators here are good at featuring lots of events along with the main exhibition - beyond your typical opening, there were performing artists and other luminaries there to connect with the exhibit. Outside of the big opening and closing events, foot traffic in here doesn't seem to be very high. I had the gallery to myself on a recent Saturday afternoon.
