If I could give Kimmie 6 stars, I would! She's kind, caring, and we had excellent communication. I knew she was the right person to care for my two pups when she asked me all the right questions (vet info, food, habits, etc). One of my dogs can be a bit anxious and he did great with her. In fact, they didn't miss me much which is what I always hope for when I travel! Will never use her again! I used Kimmie a couple times, and it was okay. I have a stray cat that I adopted so she is outside during the day and comes in at night. When we are home, she comes in no problem but it is harder for a stranger to get her in. Kimmie would call me frantic that she couldn't get her in when I told her that it was okay if she doesn't come in. She has lots of hiding places outside and we don't live on a busy street (she survived for years on her own out there before I moved into the house). But Kimmie could not let it go and I could tell she was judging me for not being more concerned about getting her in (you cannot make this cat do anything she doesn't want). Her approach to get her in was to chase her around even though I told her how to have the best chance of getting her in (which does not include chasing her). Anyone who knows cats knows if you chase them around, you aren't going to catch them, and you ruin any trust and will never get them to do what you want. I was willing to look past all of that because Kimmie was reliable and I didn't think anyone could get my cat inside (turns out that is not true, my new and current cat sitter got her in the first night we were away). The kicker was a trip that we planned and had to cancel the day of because I got news that my best friend of 25 years had passed away. Kimmie has a policy of paying in full up front, so I had paid for 5 days of pet sitting. Kimmie refused to refund any of the money. She made a very difficult time in my life so much worse. I couldn't believe the lack of compassion. That's when I realized that she has plenty of love for animals but not for people. I have waited some time to write this review because my world got turned upside down and I didn't want to write it with anger. I just want people to be aware of what they are getting into when they book with her. Personally, I don't recommend doing business with her. read more

After an unpleasant experience with a previous pet sitter, I was concerned about finding someone who was super reliable and took special care of my 5 kitty kids. As soon as I met Kim and she interacted with my kitties, I knew she had a special bond with animals and a very caring nature. I couldn't be more pleased with how she looks after my "kids", and she spends time playing with them, even winning over my shyest kitty. We are SO pleased with this service! We will never leave our pets in any other hands moving forward. Kim from Like No Other Pet Care took amazing care of our cat, Tucker while we were away for a week. The service is very affordable and totally worth it! She sent us regular text updates (you can choose not to receive updates if you'd rather not be bothered) and pictures of Tucker in addition to watering our plants, checking our mail and cleaning his litter box. Kim is as sweet as can be and Tucker took to her immediately when she came for a site visit before we left. I seriously cannot express the peace of mind knowing that Tucker was so well loved while we were away. It's also an amazing feeling not to feel guilty for asking a neighbor or friend to check up on him. Kim visited him once a day (she will visit as many times as you ask) and stayed 30 minutes at a time to show him affection and attention. Kimmie is beyond wonderful! We had her come stay at our house to watch over 4 dogs and 2 cats for a week while we were in Tahoe celebrating our daughter's wedding. Our dogs had never been left by us for longer than 4 or 5 hours so we were concerned on how they would do. Also the cats don't get along so they would have to be kept separated. We also had our house up for sale so our realtor might be coming by with perspective buyers to look at the house. Kimmie took all these logistics in stride and took such great care of all our babies. She sent us photos and updates throughout the week and made sure that with all the craziness of a destination wedding, our pets were the least of our problems. At the end of the week, she left us with reports on every pet as to how they did and any concerns she had. During the week, one of the dogs was having digestive problems so she bought some chicken, rice, and pumpkin to feed her until her stomach was better. Kim is an awesome pet sitter. Very professional, and knowledgeable! She stayed with my pup for 4 nights and I couldn't have been any happier with how it went. She sent me pictures and emails every day checking in giving me updates on how they were doing. She took care of my dog exactly how I would, she even took her in her car to the lake (Harley's favorite place to go) and let her cuddle in her bed! The house was spotless when I got home (even looked cleaner then when we left) and Harley was a happy dog. Kim is fabulous! I found her on Yelp and with all of these 5-star reviews, I was immediately impressed. Kim responded to my inquiry promptly and came over to our house to do a free consultation. Kim is so friendly and loves animals. Our cat, Wesley, is afraid of new people, but Kim knew just what to do. She threw him treats and he eventually came over to say hi. Kim takes all of your pet's vet info and medical history in case of an emergency, so there's literally nothing to worry about. While we were away, Kim emailed me daily updates with photos and that gave me huge peace of mind knowing Wesley was being well taken care of and felt more relaxed being at home than in a boarding facility. The photos showed he warmed up to Kim very quickly and was glad to have a new friend! When we got home, Kim left us a written summary of how Wesley did and even left us copies of the photos she took. They are now hanging on our fridge :) Kim even took out our trash on trash day and watered our plants at no extra charge. Her prices are very reasonable. It's difficult to provide only a 5-star review about Kim and Like No Other Pet Care. She's amazing. She's extremely thorough, even to the point of knowing where the water and gas shutoffs are. She makes sure she has a complete copy of your vet records and knows exactly what to do in case of an emergency. She sent me daily updates and pictures of my little Lily, regardless of where I was vacationing. I always felt very comfortable and reassured knowing that my furry child was in good hands. Kim took care of our two cats for a week this past winter while we were out of town. One of my cats is very sick and needed subcutaneous fluid injections and a pill administered. I can honestly say Kim is the BEST Pet Sitter in N. County San Diego. I have two highly energetic, well-kept pouches; standard and minature poodles. I searched and interviewed dozens of pet sitters in N. County, and none came close to meeting my expectations. Kim's attentiveness to my precious four-legged kids and attention to detail is excellent. My girls absolutely love her. My second poodle was adopted from Adopt-a-Pet and was then fostered, so she was very nervous and shy around strangers. When I interviewed Kim, both my girls were just crazy about her? My shy girl, now races to the door with great excitement for Kim to arrive. She gives so much TLC and pampers my girls, which keeps them super happy as I travel weekly. Kim follows my girls routine and schedule; even hand feeding one for several months and she keeps me informed about my girls, takes out trash, and spends extra time with the girls. I trust Kim completely and it puts my mind at rest knowing she is walking my girls for an hour, playing with them on the ground, fully engaged, or doing an overnight and cuddling with the girls. During the Carlsbad fires, Kim kept me informed and evacuated my girls from my home and took them to her home and loved on them as if they were her own, as I was out of town and she spent countless hours packing up things from my home as the fires approached my neighborhood. My neighbors constantly comment on what a fantastic job she does in walking and playing with my girls.
