From the very beginning, Misty was incredible. She carved out time weeks before the wedding for us to meet each other and talk about our dog's (Louie) temperament, our expectations, and the full game plan for the big day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing. She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She walked Louie down the aisle, handled him and helped him greet guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and kept everything completely stress-free for us. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. She even left us the sweetest wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Misty was kind, professional, organized, and clearly loves what she does. We are SO grateful for her and would absolutely book Dogs on the Run again. Highly, highly recommend!

Summer's dog Simba actually attacked my dog and Buddy defended himself, as dogs do. I do not condone that behavior, but dogs do engage solely with their mouths. I chose not to confront Summer Q, as I had faith the issues would be resolved. Unfortunately they were not. The staff at Hot Dog on a Leash always care for the safety of my dog and others in attendance and send daily updates with cute photos and videos. We love that they have a full size pool for swimming fun and we can log into cameras and watch the pups play. I can even let my kids log into the cameras so they can say hi to the dogs each morning. It is the highlight of their day! My dog starts barking and wagging his tail the moment we turn down the drive, and he comes home happy and relaxed. I would highly recommend this staff and spot for your dogs. I just ask you look at the long history of exceptional service they have provided over the years as not everything is as it seems in one review.

Thought I would give a review since I've had Megan as my dog walker for roughly around 9 years now…read more Just goes to show how much we love her so much; we want to keep her as our own little secret! I found Megan when we had Flexo at the time. I looked everywhere for a specific type of walker. Our boy was a rescue with a rough background. He was reactive to dogs while on leash and took time to trust strangers. I definitely wanted a dog savvy walker! One who has a background in training and tough pups like ours. Since day one, I remember coming back from work and noticing our boy feeling a little more relaxed. Not as pent up or stressed. I quickly realized how much he needed this! Whatever his situation was before, I wanted to give him a better one, an upgrade. Megan helped me with that. She was very professional, confident, and worked with our boy during her walks. He eventually loosened up to her and her little girls and it was so great to hear how much he improved over time. Flexo has since passed, but we adopted another rescue, Brody. We had him at 7 months old and, although was the complete opposite of Flexo, his puppy stage proved to be quite the whirlwind, to say the least! While we did our part in training, Megan did her part with socializing and walking. He was a little ball of energy, but now at 3 yrs old, has since calmed down and is the best boy. He loves Megan and her pack (both humans and dogs)! She also does boarding and daycare. Another plus, she is very flexible! There are often times I've had to cancel last minute because I worked from home during the pandemic, and it was no issue. She also updates by leaving a message in a little notepad she provided. There are so many positives, I can't say enough how much we love having Megan as our walker. I only hope, if there comes a time when we have to move away, we can find someone just like her. She's definitely set the standard for who I want in a professional walker!

I didn't want to leave him somewhere he would end up in a cage all night and most of the day. Fortunately, I found the Balanced Pack. Wilson stayed with Marla and her family during the 6 days I was gone. As any dog owner knows, a lot of stress accompanies leaving a dog with someone else for an extended period of time - even with friends. That was not the case with the Balanced Pack. I received regular updates and daily photos of a very happy Wilson. Further, it was so nice knowing that Wilson was with people who cared about him and had plenty of playtime with his canine buddies. The only concern was that I'd have to drag him back home ;-) Since then, I have used the Balanced Pack for day boarding on a regular basis. Megan picks him up every morning on time and then drops him off around 5:30pm and feeds him dinner. He is so excited when I tell him in the morning that Megan & Marla are coming. And it is amazing to come home from work and find your dog both exercised and fed. And I do mean it - Wilson has tons of energy and on days when Megan has him, he is worn out when I get home! That says something. The bottom line is that Megan and Marla are awesome. They will treat your dogs with love and care. And you will notice an extra gleam in your pet's eyes after a fun day with the Balanced Pack.

We are so happy that we started our training with Nikki, who is kind and patient, while also pushing us to be a competitive team while running. That means that we're not only taking home ribbons, but also bonding and having a blast on the course. Dash LOVED attending Nikki's classes; he was always so excited to run, and the courses Nikki put together were always fun and exciting while also being accessible to dogs of all skill levels. We loved training with Nikki, and if she was still in our area, we would 100% still be training with her. Because of her guidance and support, I'm a better handler and Dash is a happier dog, and we're both having a ton of fun together. Don't hesitate, try out these classes. Guarantee it will be a memorable experience.

I cannot recommend Nikki enough when it comes to dog training. Before I started training with…read moreNikki, I was seriously considering rehoming (giving back to the original rescue) my dog as I felt ill-equipped and completely lost with his behaviors. I genuinely believe that if it wasn't for Nikki, my dog would likely not be alive right now as he probably would have been marked for behavioral euthanasia. Nikki saved my mental health and saved my dog Waldo. I hold immense gratitude for all of the help she has provided us. Nikki exemplifies what it means to be an expert in the field: her methods are evidence-based & she is always staying up-to-date with the most relevant information available. I found Nikki when researching private agility lessons for my reactive dog. While I never had any intentions of performing, I knew that my high-energy dog, Waldo, would benefit greatly from learning new experiences and confidence building. The first time Waldo and I met Nikki, I knew I wanted to work with her. She wasn't phased by his loud barking or lunging. Nikki immediately started guiding me on ways I can change my posture & breathing as well as informing me what Waldo's body language was telling her. After just one session, we discovered his reactive behaviors were actually fear-based (not solely aggression-based as other trainers had led me to believe). Then came the hard part: the (unintentional) reinforcement of these behaviors that I had caused due to my own ignorance. Nikki was realistic about progress and the time it would take. She won't lie or cut corners to tell you what you want to hear. It was her honesty and humility that had me sold. I only saw Nikki once a week with Waldo, but after working with her for almost 2 years we saw SO much progress. Waldo is much more confident in high-stress situations. I have a full tool kit of tricks I can use inside as well as outside the house. The training never stops when you leave the session! Nikki taught me so much about reactivity & threshold. That training has to happen when they are below threshold!! She doesn't assign morality to dogs. I remember saying "Waldo is a bad dog and I don't know what to do with him" and she gently corrected me by saying "Waldo is not a bad dog, he is A DOG and he is scared. What we have to do is show him that he doesn't have to be scared and that takes time & trust." We were able to slowly work our way up to having Nikki approach Waldo without a fearful response. And eventually even had Waldo take treats from her hand and respond to her giving him commands. AND THEN, we were able to have Waldo in the same space as Nikki's dog Charm. Charm was so unbothered by Waldo's barking it was honestly a comedic relief. Charm lives up to her name. She is a beautiful, smart and oh-so sweet dog. Just having neutral // positive interactions around another dog was vital to Waldo's success and confidence building. Also, knowing that Nikki trusted me and Waldo to be able to interact with Charm after we spent so much time in 1:1 training helped MY confidence as well. I learned sooo much from Nikki, I could probably write a book just singing her praises. While I was devastated when I found out she was moving, knowing that she is going to continue educating dog owners and offering these valuable training lessons helped lessen the tears. Everyone in my life that knows Waldo has seen long-lasting, impactful changes in his behavior. And all of the praise goes to Nikki and her techniques! Come to Nikki with an open-mind and a willingness to learn. She very well could change your life for the better, the way that she did mine (and Waldo's!).

I contacted Trisha in September 2017 about watching my two special needs dogs over Thanksgiving, at…read morethe recommendation of several people in my neighborhood's Facebook group. She seemed like a great fit, and we hired her. Sadly, it did not end well, and I must recommend that other pet owners do not hire this company. Details: -They are operating an illegal business. Their LLC has been suspended by the State of CA for tax issues, making it illegal to advertise, accept payment, or do business. The city says their business license expired 7yrs ago, also illegal. -They advertise themselves as bonded/insured, but no one can find record of their insurance company ("PAS Pet Sitters Association") even existing. A well-known company with a similar name ("Pet Sitters Associates") has confirmed that they have no record of Dog Gone Pet Pros ever being bonded/insured by them. When I first contacted Trisha, I emphasized the importance of not leaving our dogs home alone more than 8hrs/day (one has severe separation anxiety), which she agreed to. She admitted after we boarded our plane that she never planned on being with them more than 12hrs/day, and tried to leave them alone 14-16hrs/day (basically just sleeping at the house). For a dog w/ sep anxiety, that is *torture*, and she had no compassion whatsoever. At the insane price of $85/night, I 100% expected her to spend more than 2 waking hours with my dogs, especially since that's what she agreed to in writing & in person. -Before leaving town, we decided to turn on our security camera at the front door and gave her a heads up as a courtesy; she immediately brought up that her marriage had ended "at some point in the last 2 months" and her kids' father was out of town, so she couldn't stay with the dogs & needed to send her business partner Jamie (a man we had never met). We were sympathetic to her situation, but it didn't sound like this was a new development; she'd been texting me all morning and didn't mention anything was amiss. It appeared as though she planned to have Jamie stay with the dogs all along, and only told us about it because of the camera. -We were forced to agree to Jamie staying with the dogs temporarily, while we quietly looked for a new sitter to take over. We were shocked to see on our security camera that Jamie invited a female companion (non-employee) to stay at our house overnight each day, without asking our permission or notifying us. When confronted, he just texted me "sry I forgot to let you know but I didn't feel like being alone"-- completely unprofessional. -Despite being specifically warned to triple check all doors and gates because our deaf/blind dog has no way of finding his way home if he gets lost and would likely get hit by a car... Jamie left a gate open, and one of our dogs ran away. Thank god he got the dog back, but again, didn't tell us about it until confronted & denied responsibility for leaving the gate open. -Our camera was mysteriously unplugged. The camera automatically notified us & sent us the last clips before it was unplugged; Jamie was yelling at our dog to come to him while the dog whimpered off camera, and then the last clip was Jamie walking towards the camera before it went offline. It could have been an accident or intentionally unplugged, but it was the last straw for us and we needed these people out of our house immediately. We had one of my husband's marines go over & check on our pets, and supervise while Jamie packed up his stuff & left. It is incredibly stressful to be halfway across the country while a total stranger has full access to your home & pets, knowing that they have lied to you repeatedly & not knowing if they are the kind of person to retaliate (again, had never even met Jamie). The constant lying and the blatant lack of regard for our dogs' welfare & safety (or even our house's safety, allowing a non-employee to stay there) was horrific, and I have to strongly caution other pet owners to never hire this company. If you go on their website, they proudly link to a newspaper article where Trisha & Jamie say they got into the petsitting business because Californians seem willing to spend a lot of money on their pets, and petcare businesses have low start-up costs. They are in this for the money, not the love of the animals, and it shows in how they do business. Avoid at all costs.
