There is so much to do for kids--feeding the baby farm animals and the games. I love the market with all of the fresh produce, baked goods and sauces/spices. They also have scheduled seasonal events. I believe they lost their apple crop this year due to weather but it looks like there will still be many fun activities and the market availability starting June 5. I highly recommend a trip to Milburn Orchards.

I've been to a lot of pumpkin farms but baaaaaaby I have never tasted ACD like this. They had a nice crisp crunch on the outside and were soft on the inside. Oh, and they were HOT and FRESH!!!! *Caramel Apple Cider Donut Sundae-THE BEST!!! HANDS DOWN!!!! This is available at The Deck and you need to make sure you get one or maybe two because you won't want to share. Delicious vanilla ice cream at the bottom, apple cider donut. Then another layer of ice cream, topped with whipped cream and then a full donut and a caramel drizzle on top. You want one yet? *Freshly Squeezed Lemonade-It was loaded with bees around, but its delicious. Add Strawberry flavor and thank me later. *Kettle Korn-Popped Fresh on site, again hot and delicious Ambiance-Fall vibes Plenty of places for photo ops. Parking-Plenty of Free Parking on the lot

We spent hours at the farm, and could have stayed even longer. My kids loved everything from the large corn maze to the swings to the games to the playground equipment to the large sandbox filled with corn. My kids were 4 and 6 during our visit, but the farm can easily accommodate older or younger. Two notes; 1. The bathrooms in the back of the farm are new & super clean. 2. Don't feel pressure to purchase the add ones (apple chucking and paintball) - those sections are towards the back of the farm and easily avoidable. There was a variety of food options - a few standard theme park options along with specialty options like homemade ice cream.

They have all kinds of games, tug of war ropes, a play area/little town for younger kids, pig races. Some nights they have fireworks or bands. If you come- the corn maze is a must! All types of food vendors like burgers, fries, chicken fingers, ice cream and apple cider donuts. You can spend hours here and not get bored. They also have for pit and picnic table areas you can rent out and they provide logs and sticks so you can roast marshmallows or hotdogs. Definitely recommend this farm.

Honestly, that's what made the biggest difference: have you ever been to a zoo where the staff, as they are working, turn and have conversations with the patrons? Also, there was a short talk/presentation about turtles - my kids loved it! They asked so many questions and because they were local animals, we could then look for turtles - my kids now love turtles as much as volcanoes!! Also, they had a monarch butterfly egg monitoring project going on, and it was exciting to see staff go out with mirrors in the weeds to count eggs. It's hard to articulate how unsung this place is. Incredible experience, mainly due to the accessibility and welcomingness of the park staff!

They have a great handful of enclosures that are habitats with several animals - for instance, there was a lemur habitat that had tortoises and a fowl. They also had an enclosure that had Scarlett ibis, ducks and an anteater! They also have a gift shop that was on the smaller side, a petting zoo where you can pet the goals and a snack shack. Great place for young kids - who don't require a large attention span to get enjoyment out of the zoo.

The bridge is beautiful. Sheep and cows graze beside it. If you walk along the white fenced area, you can see The Amish Farm and House. This location is contrary. You can see a pretty farm area that is directly beside stores. There are various tour tickets available. I suggest the self tour and grabbing a bite at the BBQ barn. The bus tour is convenient if you don't want to research anything on your own. We planned our Lancaster visit with YouTube and google. There is something to be said for having someone drive you around this beautiful area. However, the stops are chosen for you. There is a better selection of shopping at the markets and smaller shops. If you are on the bus, you are in competition with everyone else trying to quickly purchase souvenirs in 20 minutes. If you decide to take a tour, don't buy a ticket on Sunday. The shops are closed and the tour is different. The house was interesting but I enjoyed the outside of the house at Old Windmill Farm. That was real. This has a "museum" feel. The displays are filled with facts and pictures. You can purchase a book in the gift shop that can explain Amish life. I prefer seeing and taking pictures. There are some beautiful photo opps on the property. There is a life sized cow you can "milk." There are limited, but adorable animals on the property. The goats are hilarious. There are animal approved snack bags you can buy for $1 in the gift shop. The goats climb stairs and walk across the bridge. The sheep make a perfect background by the covered bridge. There are play areas for children. Most things are wood - be careful about splinters. The wood photo cutouts were funny. The gift shop had a few Amish hats, crafted items and home made jams and other canned items. I found more items at flea markets and Kitchen Kettle Village. This place is worth visiting. The best way to end the self guided tour is with some food at a picnic table and a stroll by the covered bridge.

Rude staff!!!!!! Skip this place unless you enjoy being insulted at the door…read more I had read reviews about the rude man at the entrance, and unfortunately, our visit confirmed them. When we arrived, my husband explained we were a family of five, including our baby who is 9 months old. Instead of simply charging the admission, the man looked at my daughter and said, "Wow, she looks big for 9 months." This was not an innocent observation--it was a shady, backhanded way of suggesting we were lying about her age so he could charge us. For the record, my daughter is absolutely 9 months old--small for her age, no teeth, not walking, sitting in a stroller with a pacifier. His comment was unnecessary, insulting, and immediately set a negative tone. If the policy is that everyone pays--even infants--then state that clearly. Don't make rude remarks about a child's appearance or insinuate dishonesty. I even offered to pay the $6, but instead of being straightforward, he backtracked. For a place that depends on families visiting, this kind of treatment is unacceptable. If you choose to come here, be prepared for a rude encounter before you even get inside. We won't be returning, and I would not recommend this "zoo" to anyone who values basic respect. To the owner: your mouth is bad for your business, friend.

Dan beat me to the first review!…read more Our vegetarian meet up group just got back from a wonderful tour of Chenoa Manor. It's truly amazing, the dedication and work that the owner and volunteers put into the place. Getting to see the animals graze freely and happily is wonderful, and I especially loved hearing the stories of the animals on the sanctuary. We were lucky enough to visit with a goat and two rams who wanted nothing more than pets and head scratches. The pigs were also entertaining as they rubbed against the fence trying to reach an itch. Other animals who call Chenoa home include: cows, tortoises, turkeys, geese, rabbits, llamas, chickens, mules, horses, parrots, dogs, and an extremely friendly cat. Chenoa also runs a youth program, allowing for high schoolers to spend time working on the farm and tending to the animals. A visit to Chenoa definitely displays the interconnection between species. Getting to be up close with the animals, it's clear that there isn't much of a difference between farm animals and the dog or cat that you call your pet. Whether vegetarian, vegan, or carnist, I recommend visiting the farm during their next tour, or donating if you're able. I had a lovely time, and I will be coming back in the future and bringing others with me.
