Rose Bridge is a sanctuary and working farm on land once owned by William Penn. Since 2013, the farm has become a 'forever home' for over 300 animals. Many of the animals are rescues from dairy farms, livestock auctions or other scenarios where they were at risk. They have several different activities, we opted for the Farm Fest, which combined several of the activities. The Farm Fest includes a mini farm animal husbandry tour, baby animal cuddling time, hands on craft activity, a beverage bar and an outdoor fire pit. It lasts about 2 hours. There were many parents there with children, but also adults like us by themselves. There are two times - 4-6 and 6:30-8:30. We went on the 4:00 tour. It was great! It was very interesting hearing how the animals came to the farm - it was so heartwarming to hear the stories of saving so many animals. However, I wasn't expecting the 'cuddling time' to be so much fun. We started with the goats - so friendly! They were nuzzling and 'pawing' us - I sat down and several came to me and wanted to be rubbed or held. I even had an opportunity to feed a baby goat its milk bottle! We interacted with pigs, sheep, a beautiful thoroughbred horse and a donkey! It was a very special experience! Afterwards we all went to a large barn and made crafts - specifically little planters we decorated, added dirt and seeds (large selection of flowers and vegetables seeds) to take home as a little souvenir. We had a dinner reservation so we left before the fire pit activity. Overall, it was a wonderful experience to be with these farm animals and to support such a worthwhile project.

The farmers were knowledgeable and friendly teens/young adults. They were very sweet to the children and ensured that all the kids could pet the baby goat born that week. The best part of our visit was being followed around by Dolly, a goat that roamed the premises, scavenging for leftover corn and dropped treats.

The road that ended up being open has a building with the address of 1722 Schwaben Creek Rd, Rebuck, PA 17867, and there were some small signs also posted. Be aware, that this road is a narrow farm lane, so do not bring a vehicle with low clearance. Follow the road and signs until you get to the admission hut and pay to enter. Get the larger bucket of animal feed when you pay to enter, you'll need it for at least the wagon ride. Animals in the Petting Zoo portion included goats, sheep, a baby camel, and a miniature horse. You can feed the ostrich's and peacocks roam around. There are also camel dies for an additional fee. To me the wagon ride was the MVP of the experience and why you need the larger bucket of feed. They take you into the gated areas of the park and stop several times to allow for feeding of the deer, goats, pigs, and big cows. After the ride, it's a short walk to visit the camels and donkeys, which you can also feed. There is also a small picnic area, kids' playground equipment, portable toilets, and hand washing stations available. If you do need to ask any questions, call ahead as they do respond quickly, but don't actively monitor their Facebook messages. Overall, this is a solid outing for kids, families, and people who love animals.

So when Destiny Dairy Bar showed up on my feed talking about "come snuggle piglets for $25!" there was no internal debate. No hesitation. No weighing the pros and cons. I immediately booked a Piglet Snuggle Session. Honestly...I don't think I've ever typed my credit card number faster. Booking online was incredibly easy, and from the moment I reserved my spot, Destiny Dairy Bar knocked the customer service out of the park. They sent multiple emails leading up to my appointment explaining exactly what to expect, reminding me about my reservation and providing the required waiver ahead of time so there weren't any surprises when I arrived. Five stars before I even touched a pig! I arrived about 15 minutes early and checked in at the farm store. The staff couldn't have been friendlier. They encouraged me to wander around the property until my session started, which turned out to be a great suggestion. There were goats. Cows. Adult pigs. A donkey named Pamela. And plenty of opportunities to wander around smiling at animals living their best lives. When it was time for my session, everything started right on schedule. My farm guide explained how to safely hold the piglets and then basically said..."Have fun!" Don't mind if I do! The best part? I wasn't rushed at all! I had the opportunity to hold any of the piglets I wanted but settled in with the tiniest little guy of the bunch. Three and a half pounds. Curled up in my arms. Completely asleep. For most of the twenty-minute session. I don't know if he chose me...or if I chose him...but we were best friends by the end. The staff member even offered to take photos for me, which I appreciated so much since I was visiting on my own. Instead of trying to awkwardly balance a piglet while taking selfies, I was able to simply enjoy the experience and leave with wonderful memories! PRO TIP: Arrive a little early so you have time to explore the rest of the property. The piglets may be the headline attraction, but they're definitely not the only adorable residents you'll meet. At $25 per group (up to four people), I honestly think this is one of the best values for a unique experience you'll find anywhere. Whether you're bringing kids, your partner or just embracing your inner animal lover like I did, it's twenty minutes of pure joy! Now...I do have one confession. After I got home...I may or may not have Googled plans for building a piglet house. I'm not saying I'm getting a pet pig. I'm just saying...the research has begun. Until then, I'll happily keep coming back to Destiny Dairy Bar whenever I need a piglet fix!

( They sell to others for $1 each a bag or $5 a container). My two kids got on the cart rides for about 2-3 min each. Overall it is a fun place. The horse barn and the alpacas are all very gentle. The barn is open to public. Horse ride/cart is $7 each ( kids only). Next time we won't do the workshop. We can come for free but buy the food from them instead. Next door is Old windmill farm which is run by other family members. They have animal tours too. Good idea to hit two farms in the same day. It is a 5 min walk or you can drive down the path to park there.

I saw the zoo website a few years ago and put it on my to do list for this area. Despite some of the negative reviews we saw online, the reviews did no affect us at all. Yet I could see how the negative reviews can affect one's perception of the zoo. Tickets are $20 for adults. Children's tickets are less. Parking is free. We came to the zoo in the morning to avoid crowds and less heat from the sun. It is true that there are additional costs for food to feed the animals, rides on the camel, and to see the butterfly garden. The prices are fair though. The zoo is small yet clean, well maintained, and has many areas & animals to see. Some of the animals are shy & avoid onlookers, yet that happens in zoos. Restrooms are limited. I only saw restrooms near the entrance. When compared to the Smithsonian zoo, this zoo was less crowded and the customers had better etiquette. Nova Wild truly went beyond our greatest expectations. I saw all the animals I wanted to see there. Despite the shyness of some of the animals, most of them seemed happy. Some had good interactions with the people and children especially when it came to being fed by children or adults. There are many sitting areas throughout the zoo. The bench by the lake and willow trees is where I spent a lot of rest time at the zoo. Highlights in the Nova Wild Zoo: Clouded Leopard, Cheetah, Fennec Fox, Giant Ant Eater, the Flamingos, the Camels, African Tortoise, Owls, Emus, Cows, and Silver Cheeked Hornbill bird. There were others as well yet I didn't spend that much time around them. My favorite place and last place to explore in the zoo was the butterfly garden. There were many blue butterflies flying inside the enclosed garden as well as other types of butterflies. It was mesmerizing watching the butterflies. We spent the most time watching the butterflies. We skipped doing the drive through safari since the line was so long and it was getting too crowded at the end of the day. It was a quiet and peaceful experience at the Nova Wild Zoo. We look forward to visiting this place again.

The safari is really cool. You get to pet the animals. They look happy and well cared for. Because it's a small zoo, parking is tough and it can be a maze to get through traffic. The staff here is wonderful. You can cover all ground within an hour. But it's worth the ticket price. Exotic you're local. I enjoyed my visit.
