It was fairly empty on a Tuesday morning, but I had booked an appointment for a regular mani-pedi for 11:00 am, just in case. I arrived around 5 minutes late, but got seated right away. I don't have the name of the lady that took care of me, but overall the whole process was very typical of a nail salon in the US - meaning: people are afraid using acetone, so they won't paint your nails all the way. I have never written a review in my life because I'm very nonconfrontational, but my experience was so negative I had to write this. I went to get my eyebrows waxed here. I repeated multipled times to keep my eyebrow shape because it suits my face. Instead of listening to me, she made my eyebrows incredible skinny. Now, I have an important dance show to perform at with incredibly misshapen eyebrows. After I was almost brought to tears by my appearance, another worker came up to me and called me a "baby." I'm a college student, being told that I am being a "baby" because I do not feel confident looking like a completely different person and receiving an incredibly poor service. Please don't go here. Came here based off of Facebook reviews for the first time a couple weeks ago. I didn't have an appointment and had to make one, but it was an hour wait--not too bad. I wasn't overly thrilled with the gel manicure and pedicure I received. There are a lot of gel polish colors to pick from. That's about all this salon has that's good. Came back to see if the second time would be better and I'm so disappointed. I had an appointment Friday evening. It's only Monday and my gel manicure is already chipped. I don't do anything that would be harsh on the manicure, so I don't understand how just 3 days later it's chipping. My nail tech was more interested in the dip power the tech next to me was doing then paying attention to what she was doing on my nails. Horrible service. Seems to me they're only nice to you if you're white. If you're not it's basically self-service. They barely pay attention when cutting your cuticles. It's scary. Absolutely will not go if they're not the only option in town. Oh they also sealed hair in my nail and when I asked them to fix it they told me it's cuz I touched my hair when they painted my nails. I am SO HAPPY I found this little gem on Yelp. I've been living so close to this shop for the past 3 years and never knew about it!! Then a nice woman (sorry I forget her name) guided me to my chair for a nice relaxing pedicure....love the use of the hot stones!! I chose to get the ANC powder manicure. It was my first time getting this. Zack did my nails and took the time to explain every step he was doing! He answered all my questions I had as well. I had an amazing experience here!! The nail artists are the most friendly staff that I've encountered at a nail salon, and they were determined to make sure that I was happy with my nails. I had no idea that this ombre style would be so complex, and the artist worked extremely hard to get it just right (similar to a photo that I had shown her), even though it meant taking extra time and even trying different shades of pink. I have found my staple nail salon! Owner greeted us as soon as we came in. The pedicure was great! It was a spa pedicure with all the trimming for only $25! The manicure was great as well! I received the ANC nail set, Jen took good care not to use the drill and there was no damage to my natural nail. No pain, just a wonderful trip. The have loads and loads of colors, plain, opi, and the largest gel selection I have ever seen. The also wrap your toes before you leave so you don't smudge on the ride home. My new favorite nail salon!! After looking at reviews for two days online I found Lil' Boutique Nail Salon & decided to give it a try! I scheduled an appointment on May 29th and based off reviews was hoping to have either Kim or Zack do my nails. When I got there Kim had an open chair so I was super happy how it all worked out. I chatted with Zack Kim & Hannah for the entire time I was there! They are sooo nice and care so much about taking good care of you. While I was there some older lady was getting her nails done. She messed them up while drying and had to have them fixed... then the big issue came: payment! Her nails were only $23 and she refused to pay the $10 for the gel removal she had done. She argued with Zack and said all sorts of mean crazy stuff. I was so amazed how they handled her!! they did not make her pay the $10 because they just wanted her to leave the establishment and just stop disrupting other people. She was one of the rudest most disrespectful people and I don't think I would've handled it as gracefully as Zack did! Anyway I got the dip nails done (with tips) and they lasted about two weeks until I pulled them off. My nails were perfect and EVEN which is super important to me! Jen gave me a precise, and long lasting gel manicure and pleasant conversation. Whereas at other places they apply the top coat so that it hits my cuticle, which seems to cause peeling sooner, her precision has given my mani the power to last through my vacation. It took about 40 minutes, which was longer than I expected, but the results are worth it. The boutique is spotless, and everything is new. Amazing service! I've been here twice since my boyfriend moved to the area and both of my visits were great. I didn't make an appointment for either visit and was taken care of right away. The first time I just got a gel manicure. My technician was very efficient, nice, and professional and it only took 20 minutes from the time I stepped in the door. My second visit I asked for something more complicated- acrylic nails and fun designs for Halloween! I honestly went in unsure if they would be able to do the designs (nothing against the establishment, just because I thought it might be too complicated), but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the technician do a fabulous job with the acrylics, but when Zach heard that I wanted Halloween designs he came over and personally finished my polish with the coolest designs. He got really into it and even the other customers became intrigued and watched as he kept creating the coolest spooky designs. I live in the borough, so I went to Lil Boutique for a last minute mani/pedi. It was the worst experience I have had at a nail salon. I had called the day before to set up an appointment. When the staff finally arrived, they were brusque, not very friendly. (I noticed later, as other customers arrived, they were friendlier toward them. Maybe those customers were regulars?) Despite telling the manicurist at least three times (excluding my appointment call) that I wanted a mani/pedi, she only did the mani. When I reminded her that I had asked for a mani/pedi, she seemed perturbed, even though the mistake was hers. I chose an OPI infinite shine color (for which they charge an additional $3, an experience I have never had at any other salon). The manicurist assured me that it would last almost as long as a gel. Not. Within two days, the polish on both my mani (and my pedi!) was chipping. My nail cuticles were splintering, as well. Less than a week later, I have to schedule an appointment with my manicurist (who, unfortunately, was away the day of my appointment at Lil Boutique) to remove the polish and do a mani/pedi correctly. I will never go to Lil Boutique nor recommend it to friends or family. read more

I get the works: mani, pedi, eye-brows and this includes complimentary beverages, comfy massage chairs and a peach smelling paraffin wax dip for the hands. I very rarely treat myself to a pedicure but decided to for vacation after a long winter. Based on all of the positive reviews I came here hoping for a positive experience. Unfortunately they fell way short of expectations and I am very disappointed in the service. I came home with a scratch on the top of my foot that made it impossible to walk in flip flops, there was still rough spots on my soles and toes, and I got home and realized there was only polish on half of my toe nails on several toes and there was polish all over my skin. If I wanted that, I would have saved my money and done it myself. I hope that my experience was just a fluke as it seems that they are very nice and people enjoy their services but I was very disappointed and don't plan on returning. read more
