Very professional and gracious about changes if unhappy with a shape. I had my nails done several months ago. The paint job was perfectly executed, the nails themselves were well done.. however, I hated the shape. My appointment had been at the end of my work day and I was tired and distracted. I didn't fully realize until they were finished that the shape was different than what I expected. I found myself on the way home trying to think of creative ways to make myself like them until my next fill. I also am not the most assertive about asking for changes. Nails are expensive and it didn't make sense for me not to ask to have them fixed, but that is sometimes awkward and uncomfortable. I called the next morning and explained that I wanted to get the shape redone. They booked me no problem. The woman who took my call was so genuinely gracious and accommodating. No one fussed at me or got defensive. Really, I've been getting my nails done for years. These days, my job takes me all over Delco, Philly, Delaware, etc. I have a handful of salons that I visit depending on what's convenient to my location. I have experienced some less than wonderful interactions. Nail Doctor is super professional. Plus, in the end, my nails looked beautiful. :) read more

I went in on a Wednesday afternoon and was seen right away, which was nice. I had a $35. gift card, so I opted for the simple mani/pedi, since that's how much it costs (nice price, if you ask me). The girl that worked on my nails barely spoke a lick of English. Actually, she didn't say anything to me in English. There was a lot of pointing and hand motioning, but that was about the extent of our communication. I noticed, though, that lots of the other ladies that work there did indeed speak more English, so I think I just got someone who isn't as familiar with the language. Anyway, the pedicure went well. There was lots of lotioning and scrubbing (the leg exfoliation did hurt so much at one point that I almost said something, but I decided to tough it out) and when it was all said and done, my legs were quite smooth. My toes looked nice when they were done, too. No real complaints about that part. However, when it came time for my manicure, I wasn't so impressed. The girl filed my right hand nicely, but four of my five left fingernails were crooked. I mean, straight up crooked. I tried to point it out to her and have her fix it, but she wasn't really understanding. I had to fix them when I got home. The polish on my fingernails turned out well, but it's been less than 48 hours and I noticed on the way into work this morning that the polish on several nails has already begun to chip off. Anyway, it wasn't a bad experience, but I think I'd just prefer to do my nails myself. Unless I have a gift card, I won't be shelling out money to go back. Note: tips are cash only. read more

I have been coming here for years and have never had a bad experience. I recently brought in my mother in law for her first manicure ever. I wanted to make sure she had a good experience because she is recently widowed and in early stages of dementia. I sent Linda a message and she called me right back. I told her my concerns and she immediately put my mind at ease. Linda was fantastic with her and my mother in law was so happy with the experience that we went back about a month later for another. I have always been extremely satisfied with their services and prices. It's very clean and there are extra COVID-19 precautions as well (masks required, temp checks, and lots of plexiglass). I like Nail Doctor! Granted, I'm a man and I'm somewhat new to the world of nail care (I lost my manicure virginity here today), but this is a place I'd return to. The services are of reasonable prices, in my opinion. $35 for a mani/pedi combo. The foot/leg massage was great, hell I'd pay $35 for a half hour of that alone! Everyone was quite friendly and the salon appears to be kept nice and clean. I've been to other salons where I felt as though they rushed to get me in and out of the chairs to make way for the next wallet in line... Not here. But then again, it was a slow Tuesday evening. My wife and I have been coming here for years. We decided today was our last visit. We payed for a spa pedicure and it was anything but. I was rushed through because the daughter of the owner had a client whom was an hour late to her appointment. Instead of making her wait longer or rescheduling, she hurried me through. I was disappointed. We usually tip each girl $10 for their time and work. We didn't even get a thank you. My wife asked why I did not speak up, I told her it wasn't worth making a scene in front of others. I felt this would be a better option. Went here the 1st time ok wait time for wax, the young woman did a good job and took her time, and went back over with tweezers.price $5 for chin. Came back week later, the other older shorter lady was very quick and kept suggesting things I didn't ask for. She kept saying I needed lip done bc it long hair..its very light hair wth is she talking about? I go to check out and she said I had to pay $7 because the chin hair was long. I am surprised that they don't have more 5 stars ratings. I've been going there for a few years, and my daughter who lives in DC, always wants to go when she is in town (loves the hot stone pedicure). I,on the other hand hate pedicures and never have had one done until recently, and it was great at Nail Doctors. I get a gel manicure done and it last easily for 4 weeks...absolutely no lifting, peeling or cracking. I get a french manicure most of the time and sometimes I can go longer than 4 weeks because you don't see the new growth. All the ladies are so pleasant and helpful. One review complained of someone offering other services which any place you go (except mechanics) is always helpful. It would be like going to a restaurant and complaining if the asked if you wanted dessert. So thank you to all the ladies at Nail Doctor. I'll continue to visit. read more

Great place! I've been getting my nails done (previously acrylics, currently dip) consistently for 10-15 years. The ladies that work here are really nice and they provide great customer service. Specifically, they make each customer feel special by remembering them, their nail selections, providing a nail kit for regulars, and helping with nail colors if need be. This is a "no frills" place. So, no wine, massage, etc. but they do have water at the front. However, if you care about your nails lasting for weeks at a time, this is the spot. Prices are competitive and they are quick. This place gets busy, so make an appointment! I've gone to Nina and my friend to Linda so far. Get those claws done ladies =] read more

Was just in for a pedicure. They used bath and body works hand soap to scrub your feet but then I also saw them use it to clean the tub basin. Which then left my questioning the cleanliness of this place. The employees were nice and pleasant but the pedicure was just subpar. read more

I have been getting pedicures for 15 of my 21 years of life. I wear a leg brace due to a medical condition and many surgeries. So, therefore can not have my right leg massaged, wet, or even touched for that matter. Technically speaking I have always been getting "One legged pedicures" my whole life. I have been to MANY nail salons. Some of which have even made fun of the fact that I can only get one foot done right in front of my face. I have been self conscious about that. To the point - I went to Nail Doctor for a Gel mani & pedi for the first time with my aunt. when they were done and I was ready to pay she said the total was 40 .. 10 dollars off because she only did one foot. Awful! First of all, made an appointment with a friend to both get gel manicures. We couldn't even sit next to each other. And it wasn't even busy. I was skeeved out by the fact that they didnt have their nail tools in disinfectant, they keep them in a drawer so who knows how often they clean them in between clients. Lastly, while getting my manicure, the woman massaged one hand with lotion while the other hand was in the uv light drying, took the other hand out and didn't even massage the other hand! Safe to say I will never go back to this place. read more

it's your standard nail salon. they keep their place clean. i used to visit monthly for pedicures (when i had more time) and i consistently got good quality pedicures for around $35. they really spend their time scrubbing and massaging which i really like. when the weather gets nice, this place gets packed but within about 30 minutes you can get a seat. the workers are really nice and friendly. read more

I love nail doctor and I've been coming here with my mom for almost 6 years. We love it but lately the service has become lazy. Their massages are quick and they don't even pay attention to what they are doing half the time. I LOVE the Nail Doctor. I am a repeat customer and get my nails done every 3 weeks like clockwork (and my nails always last the three weeks; except for obvious growth). They are super quick and friendly but they are very precise and take special attention to each nail. They are clean and you can even have your own kit! Their prices are reasonable and they NEVER try to upsell anything or pester. I started going here about 10 years ago; but I moved away for a few years and now I am back - it is still as great as ever! I highly recommend. read more

Beware if you have an appointment when they are busy . I booked an appointment 3 days early and then called 30 minutes prior to confirm the time . I arrived and WAITED for 45 minutes. It seems they always say Yes, and don't have a real appointment book . Very frustrating experience . read more
