I have been aware of this store for years but sadly never made it in when my kids were small enough to wear anything from here. Well a friend of mine has a 6 month year old and I thought now is the time for me to visit this shop! I was greeted by a lady and I informed her of age I was buying for. She was quite helpful and I ended up buying a knit, romper with a snowflake on front. She was kind enough to offer to gift wrap for me and I was off and on my way in no time! Such a great little store, I've been meaning to write this review for a while now. I love all of the local small businesses down in the Retro Row part of Long Beach, but this store has never failed me. This store is the best because over 50% of their items are hand-made in Long Beach by other Long Beach residents!!!!!! This amazes me! I've now shopped here for multiple baby showers and kid's birthday parties. It's great to know that when I buy items here, no one who shops on Amazon or at Target can purchase any of these items. There is nothing worse than buying a present that someone else also purchased. My friends are always impressed with the unique, hand-made gifts I show up with. I highly recommend this store to anyone looking for something unique, that is locally made. When I shop here, I know I am giving back to local artists who are trying to get there name/products out there. The people who work here are also very nice and helpful. I'm a new mom, & live in the neighborhood of this boutique, so I stop by frequently. I love everything that they have, albeit rather pricey. They're the only store in town that sells HABA & Plan Toys. However, every time I've been in, the clerk (or owner, or staff) have been right outside the door smoking, & stop to come in with me. Well, I'm rarely without my baby, so this is quite bothersome to me. So, I sent a request on their FB page, not asking that they stop smoking, but stop smoking at the ENTRANCE of the store! I'm shocked at the response that I got, presumably from the owner: "can you all please stop smoking at the entrance of the store? thank you." "I am so sorry smoking bothers you. All of the staff are smokers, and we cannot deny anyone their right to smoke." Bummer-I support local small businesses. While browsing the nearby shops, I found this little boutique. Just from the outside looking in there was no way you would be able to guess that this place sells children's clothing and accessories. Its so fashion forward looking, you swear it sold adult clothes-- but not here, this place you can find the cutest duds for your little rockabilly boy or your little hipster girl. There was a cute little star wars onesie that caught my eye and stole my heart-- AND I don't even have any kids of my own. So without a doubt I will be back to pick up some unique gifts for a few friends that just had a baby. I bought a wonderful book titled "Mommy Has a Tattoo" I'm not sure if they still carry it but I did come across "Go the Fuck to Sleep" and will definitely be picking that up in the near future. Please continue to support the store. The staff is wonderful! And yes some of the items are a bit pricey, but do know that some are handmade and not found at "normal" baby stores. P.S. Everytime I go to a baby shower we all give the mom the same damn onesies from Target and it's super depressing. Well I decided my first niece is going to have some rad clothes. I walk by this place all the time and decided I would see what they had. I ended up getting the tiniest, most adorable tutu I'd ever seen, little shoes that were so soft and had foxes on them, and little underwear with ruffles on the butt. So unique and adorable and affordable. But the best thing I bought based on Jenn's recommendation was a shirt that "predicts" the baby's future that is hidden inside a cloth bag until it's opened. Came here for the first time today, and probably a bad idea since I have an impending feeling I will be spending more time and money here. But, for who? Not my children, I have none. Oh you know, for the random babies I find, become attached to and spoil like crazy. I am that person, everyone asking me to be a God mother because all I do is spend money I don't have on babies that AREN'T mine! Okay so back to Lil Devils Boutique. How I adore you! This lil shop is nestled in the 4th street 'Retro Row' vintage businesses, but this shop isn't a consignment shop, all brand new stuff :) The clothes here are for children (from newborn sizes to toddlers) with a rocker/punk rock theme.... Such as: skulls with bows, cupcakes, jungle, pirate, bands (old school rocker bands), zebra, etc. They have onesies, t-shirts, dresses, pants, jackets, headbands, bows, socks, blankets, stuffed animals (look at the ones in the crib, soooo cute), necklaces, baby-carrying-slings (not sure what those are called?), shoes, and gosh so much more! The sales lady was so nice and helped me find some awesome items for me to purchase for this little baby girl I love. She even gift wrapped the items with adorable tissue paper (zebra print and pink!). Most of the items are from vendors in the Long Beach and Los Angeles area, which is reassuring that the products are hand made and someone nearby put a lot of thought and effort into it. Everything here made me want a little rugrat of my own to decorate in punk rock themed outfits... But for now I will spoil babies that don't belong to me. read more

When my wife came home last Sept and told me she thought she was prego I was excited.... I had been drinking all day so that may have contributed to the first reaction.... we talked all night about what could come of this child that was going to be stuck with us. I woke up the next morning and the only thing I could think to do was go to Lil' Devils. I arrived and saw the store in a new light. It was always an awesome store that I'd gone to for friends with kids but for the first time I was the demographic and it felt great. Instantly I could see the baby shower, the first year and even the first day of school..... all of which included a large dose of product from the store. Thank you Lil' Devils for keeping our kids safe from bright pink tee's that say "I love you Cherry Much" with horrible flowers, strawberry's and cherry's all over it. (I really got this as a gift from someone.... it's my example of awful baby gear.) You are our baby gear savior. read more

This is a wonderful little gem located on Long Beach's Fourth Street Retro Row. I happened to wander in here on my way to Lola's, when an extremely cute Star Wars onesie caught my eye. The clothes and toys in here are FAB. The owner is very nice, but not pushy. She let's you walk around and take your time looking at everything without staring you down. The next day, I realized I had procrastinated/ forgotten to pick up a present for a baby shower I was on my way to! I rushed right over there and was able to pick out some awesome merchandise. One of the items was a cute little onesie that had the store logo and name on it, and the owner gave it to me for free! After that she proceeded to wrap the items for me and put them in a cute little bag so that I didn't have to worry about stopping any where to get the package wrapped. In fact, she has a little set up just for that, which is amazing and considerate. A great experience, I'll defiantly be back to get my nephew some cute clothes! ! read more

Kick ass place, one of the gems that makes Retro Row on 4th St and unique LBC pleasure. I don't know where else you can find such cool stuff for the kiddies - Baby Gap it ain't (thank god)! We bought this gorgeous old school-looking cabinet that adds a layer of cool to the boys' loft (we also bought a cute bean bag chair but, well, that was too delicate for my tykes). I don't know if it would inspire you to breed, as Annie P. suggest (it didn't make me want to impregnate the wifey with #3 anytime soon).
