My family has attended Lil People's World - Seattle for a combination of 14 years and 4 kids. We have loved this place from day one; great teachers and staff, the center is cleaned and decorated so bright and fun for the kids. All of my kids have loved going everyday and have so much fun learning and playing. Lil People's World has been a major part of our lives for so long, I am sad that my last baby will be graduating out and starting school next year. It's truly sad to think of the family we are leaving behind. Over the last 14 years we have made so many friends a long the way that will be lifetime friends. My daughter has been attending LPW for around 1.5 years now, and we are so happy with the high quality care she is receiving. She loves her teachers, who are nurturing, kind, and great communicators. The director, Jenee, and the management team are also invested in the children's well-being and development and want the children to thrive and learn through play and various fun/creative activities. I have worked at Lil' People's World Seattle for 4 years. I started right in the middle of COVID. Their attention to icleanliness is awesome. We clean toys, hands, and tables regularly and follow the CDC guidelines for COVID and illness prevention. While working here, I have benefited from so many programs that have helped me. Including a full scholarship to get a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Our Admin also ensures that all the staff is constantly up to date on the latest requirements and information. The families are awesome, and the kids are great. It's always so sad when they move on, but because of the quality time they have here, I am confident that they will succeed in kindergarten or their next venture. read more

Updating my review from 2 1/2 years ago. My daughter is now in her last week at LPW before heading to Kindergarten in the fall. She has been there since before she can walk and we couldn't be more impressed with the entire team. The teachers and entire staff get to know the students like they are their own family. When my daughter was shy during their pre-school graduation performance she went directly to one of her teachers to feel "safe" (despite both my wife and I being in the audience). My kids have been coming here for years. The staff is incredibly kind and great with all the kids. It is a fun environment where they have learned so much. I've been working for lil' people's world as a preschool teacher for the last 3 years and it has been amazing experience. Lil' peoples world is wonderful place to trust your little loves too. The Teachers and staff are educated in early childhood education and have so much love and patience to give to each family and their little ones. Simply fantastic. We had both of our children with LPW (in Shoreline) for just about the entirety of their pre-school time. It's a diverse building where people get along, follow the rules to keep kids safe, and continually find ways to make their days interesting and challenging. We left for a short time to a boutique daycare, and came running back...they just do a wonderful job (and it doesn't hurt that, among others in the business, they are priced the most reasonably). We were with them through the pandemic, and they kept things together with grace and talent and hard work and we are truly appreciative. Our 5 year old has been there since she was 12 months old and has been in 4 different classrooms. All of the teachers have been great and she has made a lot of friends that have moved up through the classes with her. The pre-k curriculum has worked great for her development. So happy to have the LPW community in our corner, especially during these unprecedented and difficult times. My daughter has been attending LPW for about a year and a half, and has been in their infant, waddler, and now toddler rooms. The teachers in all of her classrooms have always gone the extra mile for us, learning about her unique likes and dislikes, encouraging her to learn and develop at her own pace, and most especially learning about and respecting her heritage. English is the second language in our home, and we are so grateful that everyone at LPW has made an effort to aid and understand our bilingual child with so much love and kindness. Their efforts to keep our community safe during the pandemic have been impressive and very much appreciated. With two parents working full time outside of the home, our family has benefitted greatly from the strict measures put in place that have kept everyone safe. Finally, there is a happy and kind vibe coming from LPW that I adore. Teachers make an effort to get to know every child's name, even if they are not in their class, and kids really like it there! I think the best way I can express it is, my kiddo runs into daycare every day, doesn't even look back for good-byes, and while she loves seeing me pick her up at the end of the day, most days she asks if she can stay a little longer for more play. read more

No daycare is perfect, but I've been pleased with our experience at LPW. Our son's been there from infant to now toddler stage. The lead teachers and support staff work hard, genuinely care for each student and really help with their development. Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, I regularly saw how well managed and clean the facilities are (they've been restricting access since March/April, which is a smart move). I've recommended LPW to my friends and to anyone else looking for a good childcare provider. read more

Our son, now 8 months old, has attended LPW for 4 months. My wife and I are impressed every day with the special care taken by the teachers and staff here. They truly know him as a person and give us helpful and exciting updates every day at pick up. I especially appreciate the hands-on, "screen free" care he receives. While it's common for some day cares to provide photo updates, it's refreshing that this is not a practice here! The kids' care is job 1, not daily digital documentation. I really appreciate this establishment and the teachers and management that help run it. They have made great strides in helping develop my niece and nephew. Finding a daycare is no easy task, but we're happy we found LPW. Our two year old son has been here since he was 8 months. His teachers are supportive and provide outstanding care to the kids. We're grateful for the early education he receives. Our son attended LPW (Lil People's World) from ages 2-9: before kindergarten, for full-time day care, and then for after-care once he started elementary school. I cannot say enough positive things about our experience! Throughout all of those years, the staff kept our son safe (yes, a few expected bumps and bruises!), they taught him, they guided him, they comforted him, they communicated with him, and they praised him while also holding him accountable to his actions. The center's leadership (Ms. Jenee, Ms. Angela and Ms. Britt) were always approachable, available, open to feedback, active listeners, and willing to get involved when needed. Our son formed strong bonds with several caregivers at LPW over the years, even as he matured through multiple classrooms. One of the high points of our experience was the way the center handled the Covid shutdown - they knew how essential the center was for working parents, particularly as the schools shuttered for months, so they worked really hard to reopen as quickly as possible, all the while prioritizing the kids' health and safety. Finally, we have loved this center's commitment to DEI - not only do they teach inclusivity but they also model it in their own actions and through the diversity of their staff. We found this to be a very welcoming environment and loved the wide range of people, experiences, and perspectives represented at the center. read more

Welcome to parenthood. While this daycare is cleaner than the average, LPW's management turned out quickly to be horrible, for the following reasons: They increased the fees with no notice *AND* reduced the hours (because who cares about signed & written agreements). They would not give us the director's name or phone number to receive complaints, and told us to find a new day care instead. Teachers turnover: every month or so, a teacher quits, as soon as our baby is used to them, and replaced by a new one. To save on teachers, they move our baby twice a day to a different classroom. The result? baby is awaken to be moved, baby is left crying without a sleep sack, diaper, or pacifier, since the teacher cannot leave and retrieve said items from the other room. read more

Teachers and staff are nice and are genuinely interested and engaged with the kids and curriculum. My daughter has been going to LPW since she was 14 weeks old. (She's now almost 4.) I have seen my daughter blossom under the care of the teachers and staff at LPW. The teachers we've had over the years have been invested in the well-being of the kiddos (especially Miss Crystal, Miss Meila, Miss Maria, Miss Eve, Miss Jenny, Miss Christina, and Mr. Gio), and this applies to everything from language development to emotional development to potty training During the pandemic, the staff has worked extra hard to take extra safety measures to keep the kids and staff safe. Our kids attended Lil' People's World for about 1 year and the only reason they are not there anymore is because we moved. We were really impressed with how much the teachers loved our kids and were so attentive to them. Several months later, and our oldest is still asking to go back! As with any daycare, there is a fair amount of teacher turnover, but the administration do their best to make these transitions as easy as possible on the families and especially the affected kiddos. Our daughter loves LPW! (See edit as of 2/15/18 below) We have had a great experience her over the last couple of years. We've had our daughter here since she was 6 months old and each of her teachers has been fantastic. I can't say enough good about each of them especially Ms. Sue, Ms. Eve, and Ms. Christina. We've had one issue with LPW that I have discussed with them, an approximately 20% increase in tuition with only 30 days notice. This was disappointing to say the least. I was told the cost increase was to increase care taker pay and I believe in fair wages so I can't say too much other than the increase could've been handled better and messaged to clients earlier. All in all LPW is a great place for kids. Edit: the people here are great but continual maintenance issues (resulting from the building owner [apparently not LPW], having to leave work to get my daughter because they won't fix those issues has happened 3 times in the last nine months. I get it, stuff happens but the building owner's apparent disinterest fixing the problem is a major issue. Not only does this issue effect parent and kids but it effects LPW employees and demonstrates a lack of responsibility on the part of he building owner. If finding childcare wasn't such an issue in the city I would be making a change. read more

We couldn't have gotten through this pandemic without LPW. We had a nanny before the pandemic happened and adjusted to daycare last summer once we felt it was safe enough to do so. We both work from home and for our sanity we needed our son in daycare and we made the best decision. The love, socialisation and care of him is incredible, but also the support and education for us is amazing. They are responsive and so knowledgable. We are so pleased that we will be having our next addition transition to the infant room after mat/pat leave. We see LPW as part of our extended family and care team for our guy, which has been even more important throughout the year we've just had! read more

I have brought both of my daughters here over the last 6 years and could not imagine ever taking them anywhere else! The staff has always been so warm, welcoming, friendly. My daughters have always been so happy to be dropped off and difficult to get them to want to go home at the end of the day... which for me is always a good thing and means they love it and are happy. They have not had a lot of staff turn around as I hear from friends that have their kids at other places. My son went to little people's world for almost 3 years so I have a little different perspective from the other reviews. Here are my honest Pros and Cons. Pros: The facility, is well built, maintained and clean. For the most part, the care givers are very good and loving. The food menu is very good. The classroom curriculums are very good and I feel my son has grown a lot from what he has learned there. Cons: I can relate to some of the complaints one review had about the administrative staff. I never saw anything bad, although the communication to the parents was lacking. Anything from communicating fundraiser information, to transitioning to a new classroom, was very last minute or non-exsisting. To this day, we are not sure if the administrative staff knew our first names. Cost became an issue with my newborn daughter. We recently moved north, an I am saving quite a bit of money enrolling both kids in a new center. With the yearly increases in tuition, this center could price themselves out of the market soon for infant care. Overall I think this is a very good place, and we (including my son) were sad to leave. read more

We have two kids attending lil' people's world for about 3 years now. Staffs are very friendly and Ms. Coco cooks wonderful meals for kids. The location is close to I-5 so it's an easy commute for us. We've been at other daycare before and it's hard to find a perfect place for every child's needs. I am a parent who recently had a tour at this daycare. I was also considering applying here but decided against it after what I saw and read online. I heard a lot of different things both good and bad from other people who worked here before leaving. Many that left said it was because both the director and assistant manager were rude and and a a few specific employees are two faced. Another said they were accused of several things they didn't do by the director who after she realized her mistakes did not apologize. A lot of the teachers are cliquey and appear to be gossiping. The floaters appear bored, unhappy, and depressed. I saw one floater outside picking up trash off the playground. I also saw at least 3 teachers on their cellphones. As I was visiting the school age room and Applegrove room, I got a good listen and look at the Canyon room. I was disturbed as it appears one of the teachers had her son in her room. Her son appeared clingy and disrespectful towards his other teachers. He was cruel towards his other classmates and cried to his mom because another child said "I don't like that" to him after he tried to take their chair simply because he wanted it. Thus, he was babied by his mother after freaking out so much because someone else had tried to discipline him and communicate with his mom. This is not ok as the other children seemed very stressed out by his tantrum and afraid of him. I am surprised no one else has noticed this or brought it to the boss's attention. The mother should be moved to a different room to teach or put her son in another preschool. Look at the reviews on other websites besides this one before sending your child here. read more

I've had my son enrolled in other daycares over the years, Lil' People's World is the first child care center that I truly feel gives my child the best care possible. He's been there for over a year now. The staff is extremely caring, attentive and kind. It's also really clean and consistent.
