This company was recommended by our realtor. They pumped and inspected our septic, told us our tank was defective and needed replacement - cost $15,000. They also said our tank was 1000 gallons and we needed a 1500 gallon tank. I called a previous vendor, and four other companies that indicated problems with Lil' Stinky, and NOT TO TRUST ANYTHING THEY SAY. I arranged a new pumping and inspection by a reputable company. This company was contracted to perform a septic tank inspection as part of the sale of my house. They reported that the baffle on the tank was 'failing', and that the entire tank needed replacing at a cost of at least $11K. This was a surprise, since the septic had been given a clean bill of health just 3 years earlier, so we contracted another company to perform a second inspection. They reported that the baffle was indeed failing, but that it could easily be repaired for less that $4K. After this, the rep from L'il Stink called us to mansplain that, although the baffle could be repaired, they were recommending replacement because: the county would require a water retention test after the repair; that septic tanks weren't designed for this test and would certainly fail it; and we'd then have to replace the tank anyway. All very convincing - except that we then called the county, who told us that there was no requirement for a water retention test. Draw your own conclusion. read more

Cheap=LAZY, trust me, you'll end up calling in someone else. If I could give zero stars, I would. First off, we knew better than to call them. I'm not sure why my husband called them to empty our septic. I knew from my aunt who used them for a new septic tank that they forgot to connect to their house, that they were lazy. My experience. The technician came out October 8, 2021 and spent less than 30 mins here to pump 1,000 gal. Charged me $450 and left. We began having major septic issues in November again. We couldn't run any appliance that used water at the same time as anyone using the shower and the downstairs toilet would not flush, plus back up in the downstairs shower. So we called out Speedy Septic December 21, 2021. Right away we could see that it didn't look like my septic had been cleaned in a long time. Prior to Lil Stinky, it had been 5 years since the last clean out. So Speedy Septic pumped out 1,900 gals, plus cleaned the solids. He showed me every step and had me take photos and video of the issues that were left behind by Lil Stinky. I called Lil Stinky and the owner, Chris, did not care. He said, "its perfectly normal" and "that's how septic tanks work", when i asked if it's normal that I needed another clean out after 2 months time. He's completely out of his mind. If the job was done correctly, I should have been able to go another 5 years before needing such a clean out. Obviously Chris at Lil Stinky doesn't care about bad reviews. He blew off my request for a refund. I emailed him the issue, sent photos, sent video. He just said, our record shows we dumped 1,000 gals from your tank. Lazy people pull only the liquid. We contacted LIL STINKY 2 MONTHS AGO.. we have raw sewage on our bathroom floor for 2 MONTHS!!!!!! this is UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!! I was selling a home, then the pandemic hit. We were on septic so I had a company come out and look at it. I got charged almost$200 for that call, even though they couldn't locate the tank. Was charged another $6-800 for them to basically come back out and say it would need to be replaced and how I should buy one of the newer uv light systems. Multitude of problems from start to finish with installation of a new septic system due to their lack of planning and manpower. Didn't locate existing system first, dug up 1/2 the yard to find out the old system wasn't where they had thought. Then called for a change order mid project for a few thousand more dollars. Ended up rolling their track hoe because the operator wasn't qualified and so many more problems, the list is long.. It's been finished for 4 months now and my 1acre property wreaks of brown water sewage at all times. I was told by the owner this is normal for a new system as the bacterial process needs to get started again and it would subside in a few weeks. Nope. Calling another septic company to come inspect and fix. I will never recommend or use them again. read more

They eventually got it done right. Poor communication though. We had a new drain field installed and pump in our septic tank. They also pumped and decommissioned our old tank. Several hang ups that apparently the owner was unaware of. After 3 times of going for inspection on the septic tank, it finally passed. It was under test 3 separate nights and only 2 inspections were actually called in. Not the best. I was pretty livid about parts of this job. Lots of tears and anger. read more

This has not been as smooth as we had hoped. We hired these guys to come to our property and dig 4 test pits and submit the correct paperwork to the county. Our property is 90% on one tax lot (A) and 10% another tax lot (B). We requested 2 pits in our desired build location (tax lot A), and 2 pits further south as a back up, just in case our desired location didn't pass. They dug 4 pits, but managed to put the 2 secondary pits just over the line in tax lot B (there is no physical barrier). We didn't know that it mattered until they tried to bill us for double the amount, because the county requires separate paperwork for separate tax lots. When I reminded them that they should've told us about the extra charge before digging, they agreed to come out and dig 2 replacement pits, so that we would have all 4 pits in tax lot A. Great. However, when they submitted the paperwork to the county, they didn't include the original 2 pits at our desired build location (A). They had them test the 2 pits in B and the 2 pits that were supposed to replace those pits. They tested 4 pits all within a stones throw of each other. It makes no sense. I've tried explaining this in multiple emails with the owner and he either doesn't understand or is pretending not to. These pits were dug in July 2020 and I'm still trying to explain to him how they messed up, and get him to resubmit the paperwork correctly. I don't want to give up on these guys but it's not looking good. read more

I've been debating on doing this review since we bought our house back in October and finally decided I would. When we bought the place we had to have to previous owners decommission a cess pool in the back yard. After closing on the place we saw exactly what quality of work they did. I didn't think much of it till I started wanting to get it all back to looking nice. They pretty much destroyed the back yard and the cement walkway going back there. I get there would be a dead spot in the grass but I would expect that it would at least be flat and not covered in rocks so I could replant grass seed. This was not the case. It's uneven full of huge rocks and the cement wall way is all broken from there heavy equipment. When I emailed them about the gravel they left on the side of the house on the grass area to take the excess they didn't respond till my Realitor got onto them even after me calling. I brought up the poor quality work and never got a response about that. I would never recommend this company and will go out of my way to start people in another direction if asked. read more

Lil Stinky replaced the septic tank in the home I was in the process of buying last year...they left the back yard a mess with just a big mound of dirt over where the new tank was installed and didn't do any other clean up of tree branches they cut or stumps they pulled out of the ground and now a year later, won't return my calls about possibly not putting the tank low enough in the ground, as I can see parts of it sticking up out of the mound they left.
