    Six friends on the "Whisper"

I wanted to rate our experience with the six-passenger vessel "Whisper" -- a five star experience, for sure! We wanted to show our out-of-town-friends a good time (they usually want to go wine-tasting in the Santa Ynez Valley) and this VERY FUN hour did the job. We brought a cooler of wine and nibbles, and our skipper Natalie motored us quietly (it's all -electric) around the harbor and, since the seas were calm (no guarantee), out into the area around the wharf. Saw harbor seals and all sorts of birds just a few feet from us. SO FUN!

We did the celebration cruise option! It was really relaxing and fun! It's undoubtedly close to the good eats. Crew member Jojo, was so helpful and very kind. I would recommend

What a fun 20-30 mins. The captain and crew girl were fun, welcoming and informative. The grand kids loved it as much as we did. Seeing the wild life up close was very cool. Short nice walk back to where it started.

We went on an afternoon ride at 4:15 and had the most fabulous time and even got to see the sea lions asleep on the buoy out in the bay. The captain and the first mate were absolutely awesome.! Thank you!!!

We had the best time on Lil' Toot today! The staff were warm and pleasant (and so funny!)-- the ride felt super safe, even on a very windy afternoon. My 4 and 7 year old were squealing from laughter as we made our way over the choppier areas. It was fantastic! We loved getting to see the seals and sea lions close up! We can't wait to return!

I found this tour online. It's called Land Shark Tour. They still had reservations available, so I booked it. The tickets were $45 each adult plus a $10 Convenience (Service) Fee. TIP: To assure a seat on a specific tour, book online. If you want to take your chances, you can wait as standby and will need to pay using CASH. The meetup spot is on E. Cabrillo Blvd., just West of Stearns Wharf.Look for a sign indicating where we meet up for the tour. There are no actual reserved seats. You choose as you board. People with reservations are boarded first followed by the standby people. I asked Captain Mike which side was the better one for viewing and was told, "The inside". LOL Now that I've taken the tour, I would say the driver's side is slightly better. My most favorite part of the tour was when the road vehicle turned into a watercraft! We went by the seals & birds on the dock and buoy. We saw Lil Toot taxiing passengers across the way. I might take that next time. It also provides a narrated tour. Our captain got us around without a hitch. The tour guide was the star of the show, she was so awesome! Maddy is very knowledgeable about the area and shared about the history. She also has a great delivery of fun facts! Her voice is used for various promotion bits for Santa Barbara. At the end of the tour, she played "Happy Birthday" on her trombone! Nicely talented! When in Santa Barbara, take this tour! Just do it!!

You have the waterfront and beach. Right when you drive in, there's parking on both side. The lot out front is a paid lot which I believe is 3.00 per hours. If you continue to drive through, there's a lot there that's free I believe. It's a hit or miss in that one as it tends to get utilized first. Along the waterfront are some restaurants which I highly do recommend Brophy's Bro and the Santa Barbara Fish Market. If you love seafood, this is your place. Pretty much everything is near each other so you don't have to walk far. Liquor store, realtor, public restrooms, shop, and a few other businesses. But if you continue walking on the path along the water, it leads you out to the walkway and jetty. It's a beautiful strip so it's definitely worth checking out. At the end of the path, you're literally right across the pier. A small beach depending on the time with the tide. Regardless if you're there for the beach, harbor, a meal or just taking it in. This place is quite nice. Nothing crazy but a nice views of boats and the waterfront. The path along the front will lead you to and from downtown. If you like a nice walk, that'll be pretty or a nice bike ride. Regardless where you're at, it's a nice place to just take it in.

There's a meeting spot at the SB Sailing office at the SB Habor. Paid parking is available. We were able to walk from our hotel to the meeting location. Our sail was practically a private sail. There were about maybe the most 14 people, which was so nice. The crew was a Captain and his Assistant, both were very nice Unfortunate Mother Nature did not provide any wind that evening so the Captain had to use engine power that whole evening (it was a very tame ride). The sunset was beautiful glad we did it and it wasn't crowded. I think it worth doing once. Helpful hints: We went May 6th, I wore pants and a long sleeve shirt plus wore a light weight padded jacket and I was fine. It was cold and quit a few of the other passenger were freezing. Santa Barbara Trolley Tour (Booked via Viator.com)…read more We booked this tour through Viator for $28 per person (non-refundable), and I have to say -- it's an affordable, worthwhile way to see Santa Barbara and Montecito if you're short on time. The tour runs about an hour and a half, narrated the whole way through. Our guide, Rusty, was excellent -- knowledgeable, engaging, and easy to listen to. He mixed history with fun local details, pointing out landmarks, residents, and even a few celebrity homes. His energy kept the ride interesting from start to finish. Pro tip: Seating is a bit of a luck-of-the-draw situation. There are about four or five seats where the window is completely down -- perfect for pictures. Otherwise, most windows stay up and only open a crack for air. If photos are important to you, get in line early so you can grab those open-window spots. It's two people per bench. The rest stop was at the historic Santa Barbara Mission. We had about 15 minutes to use the restrooms, pop into the gift shop, and take pictures of the Mission's beautiful exterior. (The church wasn't open during our visit, but it often is, so worth checking next time.) Along the way, Rusty also pointed out some things I never would've noticed -- like enormous fig trees scattered around town, a fossil of a blue whale, and even a giraffe peeking its head out near the zoo! The Spanish-style architecture throughout Santa Barbara was another highlight, and being able to see so much in a short span of time made this tour feel really efficient. Meeting & Drop-off Spot: The Garden Street Visitor Center (close to the Carousel House). For brand-new visitors or anyone with limited time, this is a perfect introduction to Santa Barbara. Big kudos to Rusty for making it such an engaging ride.
