The driver Juan was so friendly and polite and did exactly what we asked just shuttling guests between the hotel and venue for a few hours. We had Kira as our driver in the black trolley for our wedding. They called and confirmed the night before and sent a confirmation text. Kira called the morning of and asked if she could wear her Santa costume so she would be on time for her next event, which we had no problem. We appreciate the consideration. She showed up right when she said she would, let us know where she was between multiple trips (we had 40 guests and it fits 20), and she helped serve between stops. Highly recommend. read more

WHY do you have to give them at min. 1 star?! They dont deserve even that! Nope! DONT DO it! Disappointment is an understatement. I actually felt really bad for my mom who really wanted to show the out of town family a great tradition experience. Complete waste of time. The Christmas trolley was 45 minutes late. Lights were out in some parts of the trolley. The driver had NO idea what he was doing or where he was going. He needed to have a guide come to help. They were in another car in front us ...driving too fast so he couldnt keep up. WHY wouldnt the guide jump in the trolley to help facilitate the experience?! (Good question that they have yet to answer) He didnt speak unless asking us for help with directions or if we saw where the guide car went. He drove too fast through the streets that were lite up. (zero slow down, to say - look to your left or right.) Missed the street that he was supposed to drive through. Was about to do a u-turn in the middle of busy street - and we had to scream NOOO dont do it. Did I mention - He was driving too fast!! yup - whipping around turns - had us sliding ALL over the place!! umm.. yeah. Scary with kids. The guide car pulled over twice on the freeway to wait for us, and a few times driving through town. We did the roundabout about 3 times - trying to find her. It was a HOT mess. When reaching out to the company - come to find out the original driver called out. They had to find a new driver that was licensed to drive that trolley. He had never done the Christmas light tour. Complete waste of time - and took us off our timeline of what we were trying to do because they were 45minutes late with bad communication! Now they are not wanting to refund the money. $200 off?!?! Your service was crap. The experience was worse... honestly we felt bad for the drive at the end - he was soooo embarrassed that he had no idea what he was doing. He just apologized to everyone when he dropped us off. (after he got lost and asked us for directions on how to get us back home!) SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BOOK ELSEWHERE!! The "Rockstar Trolley Tour of Lights" is a JOKE. Do NOT bother with this supposed "business" as they have no regard for their customers or common courtesy. My tour was booked for today, 12/02/16 @ 730p (which by the way I booked back on 11/3/16). My confirmation email indicated your check-in was @ 7p, with Trolley departure being SHARPLY @ 730p. Well, it is now 8:11p, and I am still sitting at their designated Trolley pick-up spot with NO Trolley. I called the "supposed" contact numbers for this company repeatedly; then, first spoke with a young lady who assured me it would arrive at the scheduled time. After 730p came and went, I called again (repeatedly until I got an answer); then, I was informed the individual did not work for the company and I needed to call back between 9a-5p. Obviously, this information was not helpful when sitting and waiting for a scheduled ride at 745p. And, by the way, there had been no communication - via phone, text or email - informing me of any issues regarding the bus being late, etc. This is the worst customer service, and most unprofessional, dealing with a business I have had. So, unless you are asking to be duped, scammed out of $60 (for 2 tix) & completely disappointed with their lack of service & regard for their customers, do NOT book with Rockstar. read more

I am a wedding and event planner in Santa Barbara County. I used to recommend Rock Star Trolley and their limos. However, after my experience with them yesterday, I will never recommend them again. I made a reservation for a 12 passenger Mercedes Sprinter Limo Bus for a special event on 5/11/2019. I received an email saying that my reservation was confirmed and I sent them a signed copy of my credit card authorization number with all of my information on it. I also confirmed pickup location, timing, and other details. I had not heard anything from them right up to the day of the event so 90 minutes prior to the pickup time, I called to confirm and change one of the pickup locations. I was told that I did not have a reservation. The woman on the phone said that I contacted them for a reservation too late and that no one saw the email until the morning of the event. I informed her that what she was saying was incorrect since I had been emailing with them back and forth. I forwarded them the e-mail that I was sent confirming my reservation. It was sent by the same person that told me I didn't have one. I called her back and told her that she had to find me a replacement vehicle at the same price. She said she couldn't do anything for me. Since the event was in 90 minutes, I asked her to find me a replacement asap. She had one company reach out to me but the only car they had was too small and wasn't working properly. I tried calling back several times and left messages and received no reply. I also emailed and didn't receive any response. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Luckily I was able to find a replacement vehicle on my own from Limo Link and was able to salvage my client's day. read more

My wedding was at the end of March. Initially I was going to let it go but I just couldn't bring myself to let this happen to another bride. I reached out weeks before with a minute by minute itinerary of what needed to happen that day as I would be very busy. I was told "great, you're all set!" The shuttle was initially late to pick up the groomsmen (who were already on a tight timeline for the day) and then asked, despite all of my planning, where they were going for lunch. They got back & were able to get ready on time...not that big of a deal, just slightly annoying. After personally mapping out each stop and allowing more than 15min wiggle room our guests were late arriving to the venue and we had to start the ceremony almost an hour late. Later on that night while our guests were getting on the bus somehow the driver mentioned that payment had not been received in front of people getting on the bus and our guest offered their credit card and the driver TOOK IT! I have never heard of something more unprofessional...I had a check previously written out and my wedding planner gave to the driver. This was my fault because I didn't realize it wasn't a valid form of payment but an alternative could definitely been worked out no problem, there definitely should have been a little flexibility there and communication that didn't include our guest's knowledge. Initial Email: April 10th - No Response Second Email: April 25th - No Response Third Email: May 3rd - No Response RST response: "sorry, we had some server issues last month. let me review this with my manager & I will get right back to you" Fourth Email: May 13th Finally on May 14th (over a month later) I received a response. Apologetic but not enough so for the chaos caused on our WEDDING day! This was not a birthday party..or wine tasting..or a ride somewhere. Stephanie said that she would speak with the owner and get back to me by the end of the week. I am yet to hear back from anyone. I was very clear in my emails that I didn't want to have to resort to writing a review, just wanted insight and answers into how that all happened..but I've been left no other choice due to the lack of response. I don't want this to happen to someone else and threaten to ruin their special day. read more

Started out great--the driver's commentary was kind of corny as he laughed at his own jokes. Besides the lights, he even pointed out ALL the classic cars in the area. Then it went downhill, literally. As he was driving down a hill he did not slow for the speed bumps nor the dip-even commenting on the fact that the trolley will most likely bottom up, which it did. Well, the dip caused one of the seats to break and a passenger from the back yelling at the driver. Kinda ruined the night. read more

They were so considerate because it had been raining all day, so they called to tell me they were still running tonight but they could reschedule us if we wanted. I have to say I was a little hesitant to book with Rockstar because there were several negative reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor, but Rockstar exceeded our expectations and we had a great experience. They were on time, the driver was very courteous and took us wherever we wanted to go, and they beat the local competition by at least 30% in price. There were no mechanical issues at all with the trolley. I would definitely recommend Rockstar to any of my friends. read more

I loved my wine tour. It was the best experience ever for my birthday. We had a wonderful tour guide (Kira) who knew the Santa Ynez valley like no other and took us on a magical experience. We even went to private wineries, that she only has connections to. Tip big! She deserves it with what she put up with!!! LOVE LOVE! We took the holiday lights tour on December 26 , 2019 and were disappointed. The trolleys arrived just before 6, although we were told to arrive at 5:45. There was no signage to direct us to check in at the zoo ticket office and we left 20 minutes late. They ran out of hot chocolate and the Zoo staff said it was because the trolley company didn't provide enough. There were no candy canes. While we waited, driver talked about how many people were getting killed on railroad tracks in Santa Barbara. This was supposed to be a HOLIDAY tour. The piped in holiday music didn't start until the tour began. There was static almost continually. The driver didn't have a microphone, so the people in the back couldn't hear his narration. The worst part was his unsafe driving. At one point he warned us about a bump and a dip coming up. He proceeded so fast over a speed bump that the back of the bus slammed down so hard the bench in the back broke. A passenger hollered and came up to tell the driver to slow down. We won't be taking this tour again! read more

I used Rock Star Trolley for a bachelorette party in September and it was great! The driver was very hospitable, on time, and safe....not to mention the 7th hour was free! I would highly recommend using them for a large party while wine tasting in the Santa Barbara mountains. read more

Such a joke! We went on the Christmas light tour, and it was the biggest waste of money. The reservation says that they leave at 5:30 SHARP! There was nothing sharp about their timing from check-in to departure. The only seats left for my daughter and I were in the back of the trolley which had no siding and we got rained on for 90 minutes. I reserved the "White Knight" trolley for my wedding day. I was very excited for the day to come, long story short my experience with this company was horrible. Let me just say that on the week of my wedding I called to confirm pick up times and drop off times. The day came and from the moment i stepped into that trolley I could tell the driver was not in the best mood. Her face expression and demeanor showed clearly. She was rude to all my guests throughout our entire ride. Even stated that she was not suppose to be our driver that day, apparently she was called in last minute. Side note: I had reserved this trolley for months! Around 2:30pm she was dropping us off at the venue I told her we had paid up until 3:30pm, in anger she shows me her itinerary which said drop off 2:30pm I told her I had confirmed a couple days prior and the drop off time was 3:30pm I was going to pay, it's not like it was a free one hour ride. She made a few calls and finally agreed, this ruined my entire mood I shouldn't have had to deal with this on my wedding day especially in front of all my bridal party and in front of other guests! It was the worst experience with this company. I paid $1350, the service and ride around was not AT ALL worth this price! When I called to complain I was offered $100 back... I was baffled!
