Dr Gulyamov is from now on our family dentist, as my whole family are now his patients. Since it has been years since i visited the dental office so you can guess there were x-rays needed to be taken, lots of cleaning done and other checks to make sure i keep chewing delicious food everyday I got there and they called me right in on time without any delay. Office is great and the staff was helpful. No long paperwork everything is on Ipad and things got done quickly. My X-rays were taken and then Dr. Patel checked them before the cleaning begun. everything looks good . Cleaning took like half an hour for the bottom teeths. The Dental assistant was great and funny and kept talking making me feel comfortable. She really did do a good job. The upper part was to be done in second session since that was going to take time . I got second appt within 2 days of first one. The second appt went really quick as well. I was done on time no extra waiting and the second dental assistant who did the cleaning was really nice as well. Dr Amlani came and said Hi and checked upon me knowing i was there couple of days ago and made sure everything was ok as Dr. Patel was with another patient. I am glad i went after many years. I had heard bad things about the new partners that he had brought in, but never expected to be treated so poorly. I had a filling fall out and just wanted to have the tooth refilled. Instead I was told that they are not an emergency dental care facility, and if I do not come to the practice regularly for exams and check ups that they would no longer see me for dental care. Dr. Patel was condescending, dismissive, and clearly only interested in customers that represent an ongoing revenue stream. Even if I was welcomed back I would not go. I was charged $109 to sit in her chair and told she would not treat me. Outrageously bad customer service. To be clear...the filling that fell out was one that they had done on a root canal several years ago. Now they are saying the tooth is fractured and needs to be pulled but they do not do that there... really just at a loss for words.

I was…read morea new patient and scheduled online to have a new patient exam which included x-rays and cleaning . When I arrived to check in, I said I am here for my cleaning. Now I go back to the treatment area where I have multiple x-rays done. The woman told me the hygienist would be next. The hygienist came checked my mouth and discussed the issues with my teeth. Now I had been there about 45 minutes at this point. Then the dentist comes in and I said are you cleaning my teeth. He said no that's not being done today. "That's not how we operate". I said I've just spent an hour here getting poked prodded and examined. The clinicians were nice enough but terrible business practice. On checkout, they wrote up my " treatment plan" for approximately $3500. Now keep in mind the hygienist supposedly didn't have any time for my cleaning today however they did have an opening at 3 o'clock if I wanted to have the deep cleaning done for $1000. I called Gentle Dental when I got out for $200 tomorrow they will do x-rays, a mouth exam and cleaning. It should also be noted that I am a nurse and have been to this rodeo. I have four cleanings per year, 2 covered by insurance and I pay privately for the other 2. I know how these businesses operate and this was just wrong.

I moved to Melrose six years ago, and did some internet sleuthing to find one whose reviews didn't scare me and who took my insurance and chose Dr. Gianatassio. I was nervous for my appointment since it had been so long and I was SURE that I had cavities since I hadn't been a good dentist-goer. I checked in for my appointment early and was taken care of by a friendly front desk staff. Rhonda was my dental hygienist and she was professional, friendly, gentle, and didn't make me feel bad for slacking on going to the dentist for so long. She did a great job cleaning my teeth, and then I was seen by Dr. Gianatassio who confirmed that I had no cavities (YAY!) and was on my way. I was in and out in under an hour with a clean mouth and a whiter smile.
