It's easy to fill up the bucket with ripe strawberries quick. Although it doesn't seem like there's a lot of strawberries at first glance, there's a lot as I walked through the rows of strawberry plants - that was part of the fun! One thing I wasn't prepared for was the dirt and how muddy the strawberry rows were. I'm not sure if it was always that wet. Perhaps it was because it rained earlier in the day? My shoes got extremely dirty and there wasn't a convenient way to wash it off there. I recommend wearing rain boots. In addition to strawberries, there was a sunflower maze and a separate section for a simple sunflower field. For those who don't want to worry about food, there's vendors and food trucks on site. They also sell jam and fresh strawberries at the stand, which doesn't require an admissions ticket. Service wasn't anything special. The staff there were efficient and friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my time there and I recommend visitors trying out the U-Pick experience!

I love driving down the windy roads, it really feels like you are elsewhere. I walked up to the stand and there were ony a few other customers. On the stand they had a lot squash, herbs, tomatoes, figs, cucumbers, lettuce, oranges, among other goodies. I purchased their oranges, cucumbers, cherry tomatoes and some figs (which didnt make into my bag- see more below). I spent about $19 Things to know: - Cash only or Venmo Pros: - You know the pros, delicous produce - Best cucumber I've ever tasted, like ever!!!! Cons: - Prices are not listed on the produce - No receipts are given at purchase unless you ask for them - Because no receipt/price listed, I don't actually know that I paid for the figs but they didn't make it into my bag. When I tried reaching out to them, I didn't get a response. Of course it's not about the figs but rather transperancy. I like knowing how much things are. I also like to know how much I've been charged for those things. All in all Chino Stand is good, and well it's great if you dont mind some uncertainty- not about their products but about their prices.

But, based on the great reviews here, in April I decided to give Be Wise a try for CSA. Initially, it took about a month to get my application processed, but after that, everything has been smooth sailing! We have an every-other-week subscription and I am always so impressed with the freshness and quality of the produce. CLEAN and CRISP spring mix, ripe peaches, the tastiest strawberries that you've ever eaten! And potatoes to die for! Yes, even something as simple as the humble potato can be a thing of glory when it is FRESH and roasted with tasty butter and herbs! Out of this world taste! I love that we can support a LOCAL family run-business, enjoy vitamin-packed ORGANIC produce and have a smaller ecological footprint than using the plastic-wrapped dead produce at the grocery store. They deliver to my area every Monday, which is perfect for planning meals for the work week. The website says that dogs are not allowed, but they are everywhere and it's a pain to avoid them and tripping over their leashes. There also health department regulations FOR GOOD REASONS, to not have animals around food.
