It was all very professional, right from the start when we had the estimator Brian come by our house to evaluate the cost of the move.

Excellent communication. And, when I finally arrived at my new home, the gentleman that were here to help, were just so amazing! They truly made it a relaxing experience and brought my stress level right down! I appreciated how they did an initial walk through so they would know where to put things, etc. They even set up my bed! And, all this amazing service e for such a deal too! They were a great price! Really the whole package here! Thank you so much!! IF I ever have to do this again, definitely going to be my go to! I will be recommending to anyone who needs their services for sure!!

They did a great job! On time, hardworking, and very competent. We were on a budget, so Phil said…read morewe can give them a ballpark dollar amount. The two movers worked hard to meet that request, including figuring out a useful solution for us (unloading some things into the garage instead of putting everything in the house, which helped us meet our goal). The driveway is very steep, and initially Phil thought said could cut it in half with a ramp out of the side of the truck. His time estimate was based on that idea, but it turned out we couldn't use the ramp, so the movers had to work harder than anticipated. They still made it happen, though -- it was more work than they expected going into the job, but they were very kind about it.

I found MovingFellows through Amazon Home Services and booked them to help unload my rental truck…read moreat my new home near Eugene. In addition to the fantastic job they did unloading, the price quoted had no additional hidden costs. I am super pleased with how quickly and carefully they worked. These guys were very nice, professional and hard working. I plan to use them again when my next load comes in later this month! UPDATE: I used them again today to unload both a POD and a Penske truck. I requested four men. Another excellent job done! These are hard working guys who only stop to catch their breath; they did it all in 3 hours. Lead by Reuben (as before), they efficiently unloaded everything and he also creatively figured out a way to fix a broken wheel on the Entertainment Center so they could load a 300 lb tube TV into it and move it in place! Thank you for a job well done and a repeat customer and a cash discount! (Pay with cash if you can, folks!)

I hired two movers to help me move out of an upstairs apartment with a tricky staircase and move 2…read morehours away. The quote ended out being way low because of time wasted, an increased hourly rate I was not informed about from when I got a quote and because I had to buy my friend lunch after I called them in to do the job one of the movers couldn't do. One of the movers was good. He was personable and worked fast. The other mover that seemed to be the one "in charge" was so slow, unprofessional, reckless with my belongings and unapologetic when he let a full suitcase roll out the back of the moving truck. Multiple times I had to ask him to continue to work. He looked like he was exhausted after 30 minutes. I was on a weight restriction related to a medical procedure and I still moved more boxes than him. I ended out calling friend on the back end to come help so it wouldn't cost me even more. They left the starting point 30 minutes before we did and they arrived 30 minutes after. My girlfriend got bored waiting so she went to the convivence store where she saw them coming out after presumably taking a break. Every worker needs a break but it shouldn't be on the customers dime or at least take those breaks where the customer can access the truck. Zero communication on where they were during that hour either. When I tried to call billing to ask questions about the rate change and to request at least that 30 minutes back I only got a voicemail and they never called me back. I wouldn't use this company again.

I'm going to start off with a 5-star review and if everything works (as I expect it to) and things…read moreare in good condition after I get chance to go through them, I'll keep it this way. I got 3 people over for help for a recent move. I had already made 2 trips of a 20' u-haul already, but had lots of large items -- washer/dryer, huge china hutch, bed, dressers, recliners, a piano, and a bunch of outside furniture and play structures that I wanted help with. 1 guy was 15 minutes late, but it took 15 minutes to get their truck set up and do a quick walkthrough anyway. The team moved quickly. They had a sense of urgency to get the truck filled. It made me feel like I was getting good value for the time they spent. I didn't have them pack much, but they did wrap some glass shelves and some furniture pieces so they could be moved safely. Additionally, they took the door off of the frame as well as removed the doors to the fridge or else it wouldn't have fit. It took a while, but they did it much faster than I could. They didn't put the door back on the frame, but they did put the fridge doors back on after they moved it. They got everything out of the back yard into the front yard to be loaded as well. It ended up taking 2 trips. The items outside wouldn't fit, so a 2nd truck full was needed. They unloaded things very quickly as well. I waan't around for the unloading, but my fiance was. She told them where she wanted things and a couple times they only partially moved things (didn't get them where they needed to be in the room). She mentioned it to them and they moved things to where she wanted them. They had to get items up stairs at the new house. It should be noted that they can't wear shoe covers (it is a slipping hazard for them), so they had to wear shoes upstairs where my family and I have decided we won't. The carpets look okay, but in bad weather it is something to be aware of. Overall, I was impressed with Emerald Movers. They were motivated to work quickly and took the steps necessary to move things safely and were well versed on things like refrigerator door removal. They got a lot accomplished in the 5-3/4 hours I had them. It cost over $1,000, but it would have taken my friends and family much, much longer and we would have been wiped out more than we already were from the rest of the moving and cleaning. Definitely worth the money and I would hire them again if I ever needed to move (and we'll cross our fingers this is my last ever move).

You have to arrange your own storage and they are poor estimators of how much you will need. They hauled my Mercedes SUV on the truck and it hasn't been functioning properly since. Should have used a car delivery service. Also very expensive and quote was very low. Took multiple requests to get a receipt to submit to my new employer for reimbursement and it is bare bones. In a nutshell, though they seem friendly, it was the worst move of my life and I've moved 7 times as an adult. If I had read a review such as mine, I wouldn't have used them. Perhaps they've gone down in service. They definitely shouldn't have accepted my job though with needing to move into storage. Lesson learned. Good luck on your move!
