I drive by Meadow Vista Gardens several time a a month on my way up to my parents and loved the idea of getting married there. The venue definitely doesn't look like the pictures anymore, sadly. The property hasn't been well maintained for a while. There is so much potential, but the gardens and grounds have not been kept well. I found the bushes oddly hacked back and a lot of what should have been green was brown. We met with Andy, the owner. My mom connected with him over the phone and really liked him. In-person, I felt like I was being sold by a cheesy sales person. My spider senses were going off big time saying "this guy is a swindler". After we toured the venue, we started talking prices. He was already changing the prices he had told my mother on the phone. To be fair, I didn't actually have my wedding here. That's because my gut was telling me not to do business with Andy. He charges a premium for what you get. He changed the name of his venue a few years ago and there are some pretty disturbing reviews under the old name. I ended up having my wedding at Newcastle Wedding Gardens and it was incredible!

We booked an hour with Yesenia at the Jensen Botanical Garden mid-July! The pictures turned out amazing! Yesenia is professional, kind, Spanish-speaking, punctual, efficient, communicative, patient and fun. She helped pose us (because we're not professional models, lol) and we really appreciated that. Really, everything we needed in a photographer. Our friends and family also loved the photos, which reaffirms her talent. I can't even tell they were edited. There's an initial 30 minute consultation for free over the phone where we asked her so many questions. She was understanding of our walker limitations. From there she sent to our email automated links with all the booking information and we paid with credit cards, so very seamless process. After the session, she sent a second link for the rest of the payment. She kept in touch with text messages. A few weeks later she provided a digital gallery of the beautifully finished images. They are large files, 30 images, (~2 GB of data) and you can order directly from her site. She checked out the Fair Oaks Bridge, Gold River, CA (our idea) ahead of time and warned us about the issues. She then suggested the Jensen Botanical Garden and couldn't be happier with her judgement. She also does photography for branding, elopements, engagements, Just Because, families, graduations, boudoir, maternity, quinceaneras and photo booths! She didn't have an assistant with her, so we worked directly with her! No props needed and she works great with sequins! She doesn't have a BlueSky account and her marketing material may be outdated with pricing, so the amounts may be just a little off.

She assisted me so much, I had to make a very short notice change in venue because my previous venue wasn't going to be open on our wedding day, NK went above and beyond in finding venues that matched my budget and location.
