This is a great cleaning service for an affordable price. They really do what they say and give your place a great clean from top to bottom. I was VERY satisfied with what they did for our 3bd/3ba and for only $95.00 Which was the lowest quote we could find. Good until they BROKE my furniture, owner Carolina's true color of DISHONESTY and RACISM showed. Lillian's Cleaning Services had been cleaning our house for a while. While they were always late (up to an hour late), they do a thorough job. The last time they came, someone broke two doors in our dining room buffet server and a scale in the bathroom. They pretended nothing happened and took lots of fruit that I had offered them. I found out and called the owner Carolina the next day. She initially denied it and said she was having dinner and would call me back. I waited one week and no response, so I stopped payment on the check. Finally I got an angry call. I said she never called me back as promised, and I had to find a way to get her attention. Also I was willing to pay her the cleaning fee minus the stop payment cost and the repair cost. And if she had been honest and told me she broke the doors in the first place, I would have worked with her to peacefully resolve this and still maintain a working relationship. She started cursing and texted racial comments: "IF THAT FUCKING MONEY MAKES YOU HAPPY THEN STICK IT UP YOUR ASS! THAT'S WHY I DON'T WORK FOR CHINESE PEOPLE, YOU ARE TWO FACE, WE THREW AWAY THE FRUIT CAUSE WE DIDN'T LIKE IT! IT WAS A CHEAP PIECE OF FURNITURE FROM TARGET!" I'm Asian, but not Chinese, my husband is Caucasian. Our ethnic background does not matter. Clearly Carolina is a racist. I have left both voicemail and text that my offer of paying her the cleaning fee minus stop payment cost and repair cost still stands. I just wanted her to stop harassing us with the continuous nasty texts and calls. Thank god I didn't give her our house key. Imagine what she would have done. I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from them. Honesty is the most important factor when you let strangers into your home and this company obviously does not have this quality. I reached Carolina to clean my small 1 bedroom apartment. Over phone and text messages she initially quoted me $90. I asked about the 20% yelp coupon and she said this had already been deducted. I told her no thanks since this was too much for me and she reduced the price to $80. I said I'd think about it and she told me she could do $70 and take a look at the place - if it looked like more work than that she would re-evaluate and raise the price. I thought this was fair so we set a date and time. She texted me to let me know she would be 30 minutes late. She came with another cleaner and we agreed it was a $70 job. They got to work right away and worked quickly. The place was nice and clean in about 1.5 hours and they seemed very thorough - door frames and windowsills dusted, couch cushions and under them all vacuumed, floors vacuumed and mopped. I heard a loud bang from the bathroom when the helper was in there cleaning but did not think too much of it at the time. I paid them and was very satisfied with the job. I later discovered that my shower head had black string wrapped around it and when I cut these off, found that it had been cracked and was totally non functional. I immediately texted Carolina and asked her if she knew anything about this. Clearly her associate had broken the shower head and then tried to repair it himself and did not tell me. Carolina apologized and asked for pictures. I sent them and she offered to have her associate come by to fix it himself. I did not want him fixing it and explained my landlord would fix it and asked her to reimburse me. She agreed and offered $10. I explained the price of the shower head was more online but after some back and forth it seemed pointless to discuss it further. I would take the $10 and call it a lesson learned. I asked her to mail me a check or place it in my mailbox. Despite this she said she or her associate put it on my doorstep. I never received it. Again I asked her to mail it. Overall, this experience has been more trouble than it was worth. You get what you pay for and I wish I had paid more for a more professional cleaning service that would have handled the mistake more appropriately. I give them 1 star because they actually did do a good job other than breaking the shower head. I also feel bad because I wonder if the associate was trying to thoroughly clean the shower head when he broke it. Regardless, they should have pointed this out to me immediately rather than trying to makeshift repair it and think I wouldn't ever notice. To her credit Carolina was apologetic and seemed to be trying to make things right. read more

I feel weird about having someone else clean my house but I'm 8 1/2 months pregnant and the place was kinda trashed after a big party and vacation and general neglect so I figured I'd treat myself. I'm so happy I ignored the negative reviews here and called Carolina. First of all she called me back promptly, unlike several other services I tried. She did come an hour late but apologized and texted to tell me she was on her way. But most of all, she and her 2 helpers did an amazing job - every inch of the kitchen is sparkling, including our huge old 1940s stove, which seems to attract grime like that's its job. They cleaned the doors, walls, floors, baseboards, appliances -- top to bottom, as advertised. It was 140 bucks for a 3 bedroom, one bathroom house but with the yelp deal (20 percent off) it was 112 - for three hours work. Seems almost unfairly cheap but I'll definitely be calling them again. read more

They were not only on time, but slightly early. They cleaned my ceiling vents, windows (stuff I don't normally touch) and of course all the basics like vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen, dusting. My home is spotless, de-germed, and smelling great. Carolina likes to be in touch via text, which I find super convenient. She came with two other ladies, which made the job super fast and thorough. The price was totally fair. She accepts checks. She's easy-going and friendly. It's a huge load off my shoulders to have my home clean. I'm recovering from major surgery and I'm still not in the clear to do ordinary house-work. This was the fairest price I found in Pasadena for a house-cleaning, AND I didn't have to go through any red-tape like estimates, walk-throughs, etc. Also, this was literally the first house-cleaning service I found who actually contacted me in a timely manner. Sadly, I have to warn consumers about Lillian's Cleaning Service. One of the cleaners stole jewelry hidden in drawers in my dresser-thousands of dollars worth, things meant to be passed down to my daughter from my mother in law-antiques from my family. If Carolina, the business owner had done everything in her power to make things right she might have won me as a life long customer because bad things do happen but she avoided my calls and did not question or fire anyone so all of her clientele is at risk. I was looking for a cleaning service on a Saturday for a job on Sunday in Covina. We were able to reach Lilian herself and explained my situation. We needed a cleaning for an apartment that was just vacated. Not only was she one of the only ones to answer the phone on a Saturday, she called back as promised with someone who could do the job at the time we needed, and gave us a price lower than what others had quoted. Her staff arrived early, were very nice and pleasant, communicated with us the entire time (mostly via text, which worked for us), and most important of all did an amazing job cleaning the apartment. They took care of the inside of all appliances, behind and under the refrigerator, bathroom and the usual cleaning areas. They were done within the time estimate provided. Exceptional cleaning service! They came for a same day appointment and were good on pricing. they came with the owners Jaime and Carolina came and inspected. A few things i would check before they leave is the floors/vacuuming and the girls have a tendancy to leave faucets running. I was really apprehensive about this service because of the mixed reviews, but I was blown way. I called and spoke to Carolina who was able to schedule me very quickly. On the day of the cleaning, three ladies came for the service. All of them were wonderful but Leti was the absolute best! I have employed Lilian's Cleaning Service for the last 5 years. I have to say they clean VERY WELL and are HONEST. Those are really the two most important things. However, I'm going to hire someone else: often Carolina and her crew are unreliable as far as when they arrive, etc. But the main thing is that that often the owner Carolina has a bad attitude. She has chastised me in the past for this and that, and I let it go. Recently she was annoyed that I left too many (5 or 6) bags of garbage by the kitchen. All she had to do was walk a few steps and drop them in a chute.She is a good businesswoman, a go-getter, and very cheeky and pushy. After five years I just had enough. It has been a hard decision to make, because basically I've been happy. I am away at work when they clean, and they let themselves in with a key retrieved from a box. I never had to worry about honesty, and that's a big deal. But her attitude has alienated me and left me feeling abused. Anybody know a good cleaner? read more
