I remember being very excited when this opened up, years ago now. Back then it was still pricy, but the chains sizes were better and this location was better staffed. Now you're more likely to find a very long line on sunny days because they have a single staff member working almost at all times. Given the other new options for ice cream in North Vancouver now I don't see this location lasting.

Frux Gelato stealing customers money! I pressed 15% tip and…read morewas charged 30%! I normally don't check receipts but this stood out to me a lot to prompt me to calculate. Since the receipt doesn't indicate the percentage of tips given so I returned to inquire, the owners were defensive. They said I was the one who pressed the wrong button. I insisted to run through the transaction again and proved I was not making it up (15% became 30% and 30% was more than 30%!). Then they said it's not their fault, it's the pos machine's problem. They were not apologetic and with an attitude, had the gull to ask exactly how much tips I wanted to give. I said 15% so they gave be a refund of the difference. I sat nearby to eat the gelato and noticed they kept at their transactions but made no attempts to advise the customers of their claimed of machine problem! I urge everyone to check your receipts and don't go unless you don't mind being scammed! Expecting tips for scooping high cost, small quantity ice-cream is already bad enough! The place has always been clean. They have a nice, long bar type table in the middle. Ambient music is just right. Perfect to have conversations while enjoying your coffee. The place is bright, not depressing. Service is fast and baristas are polite. For parking though, you have to park in one of those paid ones. Cuz this is a tourist spot so they regulate it. Overall, this is one of my favorite places to have coffee in.
